I've got a remote for the TV, a remote for the DVR and a remote for the Blue-Ray. Never have the right one handy and it's an overall pain in the ...., I saw this remote and had my doubts but I bought it anyway. This thing is incredible!!! Easy to figure out directions, easy to program, easy to personalize and super easy to use. One button push starts the TV and the blue-ray and adjusts the input source on the TV (the same for the DRV if thats what yo want). If something doesn't go right there is a "Help" feature on the remote to help you out,

If you've got an hour or two to devote to setting this remote up, you're golden. It takes some time, but it's pretty simple to set up all your preferences. I set this up to make it easier of my wife to use the TV - She wouldn't go near the living room when i had five different remotes. The screen makes it super easy for her to use the ONE-TOUCH settings. As long as you wife-proof it, it'll be a breeze for the whole family.

After trying many different Universal remote controls over the last 20 years, I have to say that the Harmony Remote by Logitech is definitely the best. It is very easy to set up, (you DO have to have a computer with internet access though) and the fact that it can do various "activities" makes it great for those who have multiple devices in their home theater setup. The back-lit keys make it easy to see what you are doing, and you can even customize it for special buttons you might have on your factory remotes. I highly recommend this item!

I was very happy with the ease to setup and program the functions I wanted. Being able to switch between TV, Blue-Ray, Music and Game with the press of a button is so much more convenient than messing with multiple remotes. Once you have it setup, you'll wonder why you waited so long. I've only had it for about 3 months, so I can't speak to long-term reliability or durability, but it does seem a little lightweight compared to the other remotes. It might require a little more care to maintain, but for now it is working just fine.

Overall I like the Harmony® 650 Remote but I'm disappointed in a few things. First of all, the activity buttons and help button at the top of the remote are not backlit and all the buttons that are backlit are not bright enough compared to older Harmony remotes. In addition, the (1-9) number buttons no longer include the letters on the buttons (e.g. abc on the #1 button) which for me is a problem since I use the letters to perform on-screen searches and now I cannot see the letters in the dark. Having the letters on the number buttons on previous Harmony remotes allowed me to see the letters in the dark as the number buttons were backlit. I also was disappointed in the new online programming software which is easier to use but is significantly limited in the ability to customize the remote (I had to fall back to the Harmony remote software installed on my computer which works better but does not allow you to program some other features of the remote).

I was a bit reluctant to pay over $50 for a remote but it was supposed to eliminate all other remotes and be easy to use. Once set up,, this remote controls everything; DirecTv, Vudu, home stereo, TV, DVD player. Once you understand to point the remote at the devices until all linked to the command (ie watch TV) are turned on, life is great. My husband has no patience and this remote has flown across the room at least twice but has never missed a beat. Again this is a Logitech device that has earned customer loyalty from me!

SO I PURCHASED THIS REMOTE BECAUSE I HAVE 6 REMOTES TO DEAL WITH EVERY TIME I WATCH TV OR A MOVIE! THIS REMOTE CONTROLS 5 DEVISES AND ITS AWESOME! LETS YOU SET THINGS IN PAIRS, FOR EXAMPLE WATCH A MOVIE BUTTON TURNS ON BLU RAY PLAYER, RECEIVER AND TV, IF YOU SET IT UP THAT WAY! LOOK DONT SPEND HUNDREDS ON OTHER PRODUCTS, THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED! TRUST ME IM A BARGAIN HUNTER AND THIS IS A BARGAIN FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!

This remote is wonderful! It's so easy too use for us older people who are not too electronically inclined! Makes using the Blu-ray, etc. so much easier to operate. I'm so glad we purchased it. The Geek Squad did a marvelous job programing it and explaining how to use it. If something does not work right, you just press the help button and it walks you right through and tells you what to do to correct problem. We really like it.

I made the mistake of purhasing another router. After pulling my hair out with that one a member of the Geek Squad mentioned the NetGear type. WOW! Wished I had bought this one 1st. The easiest installation, the online guide was fantastic. I have worked in computers for over 45 years and this company not only builds quality equipment but they know how to relate to the average user. Made me friend for life. Keep up the excellent work! Already purchased a 2nd one for my father-in-law. This equipment does what it promises to do. Thank you!

Got a fabulous deal on an M series Vizio TV that was open box and remote was missing so bought the Harmony remote. Wow I am really impressed with the capability of the Harmony remote. It allowed me to combine three remotes and program for each component. Great remote and easy to operate once programmed. This is the best of all worlds and is quite easy to program from the website allowing you to tailor the remote for specific models of TV and components.

In order to program the remote, you have to gather all of the manufactor names and model numbers of all of the devices, plug the controller to my computer, and program it through some online software you have to download. All of that said, it was very easy. The step by step instructions online were easy to follow and made sense. I thought for sure I would have some kind of issues with it since I was programing 5 devices to it but it works great! One button to watch tv, watch a movie, or play a game on ONE remote. I love it!

I bought this remote to simplify my entertainment center. Setup is not hard. In the beginning it worked as it should. Then after 6 months the remote would reset itself anytime I pushed watch tv or movie button. This cycle would not stop. I tried replacing the batteries and re-programed it. Nothing worked. I purchased a second remote as a replacement. The second remote lasted maybe 3-4 months. I've had luck with Logitech in the past, but this was bad enough not to want to purchase their products again.

The hardest part about setting this up is rounding up all the model numbers for the equipment you will be controlling. Plug in the USB cable the program walks you through it and automatically sets everything up for you. You can then customize it and even add icons for your favorite channels (only in tv mode though). It has a nice color display which comes on when it is moved. When it works it works great but it only does what I ask it to do 50% of the time. It frequently neglects to turn a component on, and when it doesn't you have to hit the "help" button to retry. If it still doesn't turn everything on then walks you through a troubleshooting sequence. I was hoping it was a learning remote and the troubleshooting would resolve the problem but I have had it for several months now with the same issue. It also tends to forget what mode it is in if you ignore it for too long so you may or may not be able to change the volume or change the channel when you want to. If it was reliable I would love it and highly recommend it. As it is I still need to hang on to all my remotes as I find it easier to just use the remote for the device it fails to operate instead of going through the troubleshooting menu.

Have to say Logitech really right sized this remote. It won't support large numbers of components but for most typical setups this will work flawlessly. The harmony remotes are the one true use focused remote I have used. Nearly anyone can navigate a home theatre once this is setup. We have two of this model in the house and a harmony one on a large setup. Also bought one for my sister-in-laws family and they love it too!!!

This universal remote was recommended to me by a family member. I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. It's a great product at a great price. The setup was quick and easy, you just need the make and model number of your devices while you're connected to a computer. I was using four different remotes and now I use one. One button turns on all devices for watching TV or DVD. One button turns them all off.

I bought this remote specifically to control my HTPC and HDTV. The setup was a bit laborious from that standpoint, but once I got it setup, I'm very happy with it. The only catch is that with an HTPC setup, rather than 1 or 2 clicks to get it all going, it takes about 5 or 6 clicks. There is a bit of a learning curve for my family. While I can control this just fine, they still are learning, even months afterwards.

I reluctantly had to upgrade from another older model of the LogiTech remote (which never really worked quite well), but htis version has been simple to use. I did have Geek Squad come out and install it (that may have been my issue from the start with the old remote!) so that eliminated any installation headaches. I only have Fios hooked up to it - No DVD or Stereo. This device is strictly to have the box in another room not visible in the Living room where the TV is over the fire place. So faar, so good!

I bought this remote for our downstairs den where the kids hang out. There was 4 remotes and the older kids had to turn on the tv for the younger ones because it was so confusing trying to remember which remote in which order and what input. Now it is one button to turn everything on and one to turn everything off. The programing of the remote was relatively easy. Just wish this one worked on RF but I guess that is why it was so cheap.

This thing was a game changer for our AV setup. The hardest part of the setup was figuring out the model numbers for what needed to be programmed into the remote. The program for adding components and setting up activities is dirt simple. I actually bought one of these for my father-in-law for Christmas this year and he loves how much simpler it is to use this one remote instead of the 3 he was using before. Great product.

We purchased two Harmony 650 remotes - one 3 years ago and the 2nd one recently. Both were set up/configured by Geek Squad at our home for our home theatre. After installation the first one worked about 80-90% of the time, turning on the multiple devices needed for the home theatre - the rest of the time it would miss one and we would need to hit the "help" button. There was also some trouble closing down all devices. The second remote purchased more recently appears to be working more reliably so we are happy with that so far. I think that the design of this remote could be improved by making the "off" button and "watch TV" button either larger or stand out in some way from the rest of the buttons. My husband has large fingers and he tends to push the wrong buttons - putting it into some odd mode that we have to figure out out to exit. We purchased this remote because it does have good reviews and there does not seem to be a better one out there right now.
