Couldn't get the universal remote to recognize the remote that went with my cable box, but it worked when I started over and said I didn't have a remote. So far everything has worked great.

It was tricky to set up and took time to learn to use it but did work great once learn.

My Harmony Remote of 11 years finally gave out, so I wanted to stay with the same brand. Went to Best Buy and purchased the remote recommended by the sales person and had The Geek Squad come and program it for me as I am not electronically smart. they did a wonderful job and I am very satisfied with my new remote.

This can be a great remote, but have patience! I love the fact that you can PROGRAM this remote online with all of your devices to turn on/turn off what you need depending on what you're doing: want to watch TV? After initial programming, you can press one button to watch TV and the remote will turn on the TV, turn on the satellite dish receiver and turn on the audio receiver...and you're ready to watch. The catch is that you need to keep the remote AIMED at the entertainment center where all of the devices are located for several seconds to give the remote time to do its thing. If you point it away before everything has been turned on/off, things can get screwy and you'll have to turn it all off and back on again. However, if you follow directions, it's a GREAT device!

We've had a lot of universal remote controls through the years. Spent hours searching codes and attempting to "teach". This remote does it all with no setup issues and minimal button pushing. I don't often write reviews, but the Harmony 650 is just outstanding. We have it driving a flat screen TV, Blu Ray player, DirectTV receiver and a Bose Solo amp.

Overall, very pleased. I have been using it now for 2 months. It was incredibly easy to plug into the computer and program the favorite stations and buttons through their intuitive step by step process. The best part is, it works! The range is much better than my issued Verizon FiOS remote and it is also more responsive. I would highly recommend.

Easy to use, setup was very simple and it works as advertised!

I was using four remotes for our system and this remote replaces them all. I programmed it on our PC and it was very easy to do even for me. The price of this remote (Harmony 650) was great, I got two of them on sale for less than $100.00 including shipping and I couldn't be more pleased with their performance.

I found it easy to setup and use. Once in a great while it misses a device on power on/off, but the help key seems to always correct it. I am using it for a Vizio TV, a Comcast DVR, a Sony surround sound, and a Samsung BR disk player. The required features for each decice are available.

I bought this device under the premise that it could do macro programming to support the use of different device functions such as play DVD, watch Roku box, watch cable. What I found is that while all of my devices were supported by the remote and it controlled most aspects of each device, it could not handle the macro programming. I made several attempts at getting to work and extensively used the built in help function when things did not function as they were supposed to, but the problems were never resolved. When you told it to play a DVD it could not switch to the correct input and then operate the player properly and that was pretty much the same for each macro function. Because of these issues I just returned the product to the store and will continue to use my multiple remotes.

I'm happy with the purchase after reading through the reviews and deciding on this remote. It's not perfect as there is some delay when entering a channel number on my DirecTV receiver, but achieves my goal in consolidating remotes for a reasonable price.

If you have multiple devices and especially if you use a sound system, this is the way to go. No more phone calls saying, "I can't get this &**&^^% thing to work." Just push one button, hold the remote still while it sets your devices to their proper setting and away you go. I loved mine so much I started giving them as gifts. I wish it were less expensive.

First remote I've owned that I did not have to worry about setup. No lists, no training, no hassle. I've seen people spend hundreds on high end remotes, but I'd bet for 90% of the folks out there, this is all you need. Considering getting the PS3 adapter. That is also a smart idea.

I got this remote for a great price at Best Buy during a pre-Black Friday online sale event just before Thanksgiving. This is the second universal remote that I've owned, the first being a Sony Remote Commander. I highly prefer the Logitech as the setup was extremely easy. All you have to do is write down your component brand and model numbers and which inputs you're using (HDMI1, HDMI2, etc). Then, you just hook up the remote to your PC with the supplied cord and the software walks you through the very intuitive setup. You don't have to look for codes or anything like that, you just go into each component and find your brand and model number and the software does the rest. So easy, even a caveman can use it! My only slight concern is the durability of the remote. Some reviews have said that it quits working after a short time and I’ve noticed that a button or two on my remote are kind of sticky as they stay depressed for a split second before springing back out. My remote controls a Panasonic plasma HDTV, a Panasonic Bluray player, a Cisco DVR/Cable TV box and an Onkyo stereo receiver and all of these components work perfectly with it. Very pleased using only 1 remote instead of having to switch between 4 of them!

I was so suprised when I got home and found out how easy it was to set the remote up. I was afraid because I read some of the reviews and they said the set up was a little difficult, but it really wasn't. Anyway I just got done adding all my favorite channels, I hope that goes smoothly as well. The Logitech Harmony 650 Remote is absolutley wonderful!!!

I have tried other universal remotes before but this is my first Harmony device. The online setup is fantastic - no more entering multiple code numbers for all of my devices in an attempt to find the correct one. I really like the 1-click activity buttons which turn on only the devices necessary for that activity. I will highly recommend this to others.

This thing is awesome. I replaced 4 remotes for this one. Very very easy to setup. I like how when you hit an activity button it does everything for you such as turn on the right products and set them to the right inputs. Then when you hit another activity button the remote will turn off the decivces no longer needed and turn on the correct ones.

Absolutely IN LOVE with this remote! Originally bought it because I lost my TV remote so I couldn't change the input on my tv, then once I bought this I learned that I can control my Apple TV, TV, and Blu Ray player right from the same remote!! It's amazing and super easy to program. Highly recommend.

This remote is much better than I had expected for the price. It was super easy to set up and fairly easy to use. My biggest complaint is related to the button design; sometimes they get stuck when pressed. A quick nudge to the side of the button corrects it easy enough though.
