If you have a bunch of devices tied into your home entertainment center. I highly recommend this remote. It's great to be able to consolidate all of your remotes into one.

replaces the separate remotes for my TV, digital cable box, Blu-ray player, receiver and Apple TV, combining control of all 5 devices into one remote for a reasonable price.

I have had several Harmony remotes and have been mostly very happy. This remote does exactly what I need for a simple set-up and eliminates the need for 3 separate remotes making life much easier.

This is an excellent remote, easier to set up than I thought. You simply connect it to your PC, go to the Logitech website to set up an account, and input the model numbers for up to 5 devices on this remote. I only discovered yesterday that it controlled my Iogear HDMI switcher. I can now control my Panasonic 52" TV, Blu-ray player and home theater system, as well as the HDMI switcher and Comcast cable box with one remote. I caught it on sale @ Bestbuy.com around Black Friday, only paid $37.00 for it, would love another one for my living room. Great remote, just try to catch it on sale!!!!

What a joy to be able to use one remote instead of 4! It was getting a bit complicated, and it wasn't fun when other remotes would lose their interface and refuse to turn items up. Setup took about 5 minutes, and it's easy to program the buttons to do what you need for the setups you have. Buttons are tiny sticky, but unlike the other eviewers, I have had no issues with the battery compartment.

Replaced a 10 year old harmony that finally quit .

I have tried several universal remotes when I got my new samsung tv and my insigna blue ray player and out of 7 different brands of universal remotes none had fully worked for the tv and I could not get any of them to work the blue ray. The Harmony 650 lives of to there rep. Once you program the remote with all Your equipment every botton is there. The remote is very easy to set up and simple to use. The only Three cons. are the price and the back lit keys are not that well lit. And for the price to only be able to controll 5 devices which is for me bear amount, would be nice to be able to controll up to atlest 8 devices.

I'm in love with this product I never knew having one remote could be so easy. Before my purchase of the Harmony I had 6 yes 6 remotes for all my systems. You guys are the greatest.. Thanks

This remote does exactly what it says. It takes all the remotes you have and combines into one. Now I can watch TV, the DVR, Blueray, Netflix, etc with just the push of ONE button!!! I love it!

I've blown through about 5 of these in 4 years. They do what they're supposed to and they do it fairly well. I wish the software were better optimized and coded (what you use when interfacing with the computer) because it crashes a fair amount. The reason why I keep replacing them is that my kids don't treat it properly, and then they have to use their own money to replace it. I keep hoping they'll learn. My one other complaint: it only controls 5 devices. I know that my HT has more to it than most, but they charge another 40 bucks for 4 more devices. That's not only unreasonable, it's highway robbery.

Good remote. Easy to use. Easy to program. It even has a tutorial on the remote that walks you through the various options and what the buttons do. The big issue that I have is that the remote will periodically reset back to the introductory tutorial. It doesn't lose the programming, but you are required to go through the on screen tutorial again. It happens without rhyme or reason. Logitech forums (from over a year ago) say it is a loose battery. Logitech should have fixed the design by now.

Great device for controlling 5 devices, I have my home theather, TV, Cable Box, DVD/Blu-Ray player, and a Windows Media Center HTPC all connected and controlled with this one device. Settings are stored on my PC so if something happened to the remote device itself I could buy a new one and download all the settings into it and be back in business without repeating all the setup steps. I would like to be able to have more control over the order of the device and activity displays but not a big problem. It's nice just having one remote to control all those devices and just one set of batteries to buy!

This is my third Harmony remote. The first was one that I picked up was a Harmony 550 on clearance and was a great buy. I'd still be using that one had it not gotten smashed. The 2nd was a harmony 670. It worked great but the screen has taken a few shots and was near unreadable. It also didn't have near the feel of my old 550. I liked the 670 but couldn't say that I loved it. I recently came across the Harmony 650 and while glad that I picked it up, I'm again, not in love with it. Having the additional colored buttons give it a distinct advantage over my old 670 since I've switched to DTV instead of cable. The color display is nice looking but not mandatory. I'm also programming these to the corresponding Xbox colors (simple configuration with the software provided). The major annoyance with this model so far is that the batteries do not stay secure inside the battery door. This means that should you pick it up or set it down the wrong way, the remote reboots and the activity you were involved in is now forgotten by the remote. I've currently tweaked the prongs on the battery to help compensate for this. I will likely have to install a bit of foam under the battery door to fix the issue for good. This is a huge oversite on Logitech's part and something that many people will be returning these over. This remote also seems slower to start activities than my prior Harmony remotes. While this could be the fault of the Harmony software (timing adjustments on their database) and not the remote, It's only been a problem on this model. The last issue I have with this model over my prior Harmony remotes is that it seems as though this one does not have the IR range as my prior remotes. All of my prior remotes, I could simply hold and they'd bounce the IR all over the place and still control my devices. This remote seems to be less so. It's more like a standard remote and actually has to have an absolutely clear path to the device or it will miss it.

Got today and spent about an hour setting up four devices. Controls all functions of my Sharp TV, Sony CD Changer, Dish DVR and Yamaha receiver. A word of advice...if you have a mac and try to use it for programming, download Firefox first then plug the remote in and follow the instructions. Logitech's website does not offer help for this but after some investigating (reason for poor ease of setup rating), I found this to be the answer. Once I downloaded Firefox, everything was smooth sailing. After all the runaround, it only took 10 minutes to actually set up the remote.

I've been using Logitech remotes for over 10 years and this one is fairly good. Very simple to program online and easy to update if needed.

Well worth the $80 I paid. setup took 15 minutes from opening package to watching whatever on my system! The online/computer setup asked you basic questions that are easily answerable if you set up your system. After the standard setup, the application allows you to "point and click" customize the remote in very little time. I've bought a few $20 universal remotes...never again. Well worth the money. Cudos to Logitechfor a great product.

This is great. I wish I would have bought one years ago. I got tired of using 4 remotes when watching TV and Blueray movies. This operates my TV, Satelite, Reciever and Blueray player. Couldn't ask for more...

I condensed 4 remotes into 1. it was so easy to setup. It took at most 15 minutes. It is working perfectly. I would definately recommend to anyone!! I love it!!!!

This remote is by all means the greatest purchase I ever made. It controls my Apple TV, Samsung TV and Sony Surround Sound flawlessly. I have absolutely no complaints. I wish I had purchased it sooner.

While not everything about the set up process (or remote itself) are immediately easy to figure out, you get the hang of it eventually and it becomes an indispensable part of your home entertainment setup.
