I have been using cable company remotes with limited capabilities for years. With a recent switch to DirecTV and their remote not able to turn off my Panasonic receiver, I decided to buy a remote. I started with $25 remote (don't recall the brand) from Walmart, but that had the same problem as the DirecTV remote. I then researched remotes and settled on this Logitech Harmony. It is VERY SIMPLE to program, simple to use. My wife is EXTACTIC with how simple it is to use. One button turns on everything to watch TV, another turns on all components to watch movies from my blu-ray player, and another button to turn on the Bose Wave sound system. And you can create custom activities. Don't let the word "program" scare you. It is done by using the included USB cable to connect the remote to your computer. Then it walks you through step by step to select each component. Very visual, very easy. This remote is SIMPLE, EASY, and ADAPTABLE.

This thing is awesome, totally customizable to work with all your home theater products. You can add all kinds of custom comands to this.

Purchased this remote for my parents. Easy to set up and they love only having to push one button to operate their entertainment center now.

Lost the programming the first time I connected to computer but fine after I redid it. Much easier now that I don't have to look around for my Samsung Soundbar remote. This was the only one I could find that worked the Soundbar. Replaced my Samsung TV, Soundbar, DVD, and AT&T U-Verse remotes.

My Harmony One died after 4 years so I replaced it with this new Harmony. It's simple to use and I love being able to work my receiver off of the remote as well. I was prepared to spend twice the amount I paid but can't complain about the price. I did have Geek Squad do the programming so I'm not sure how easy it is to program but I highly recommend the Harmony 650.

This remote reduces all your remotes down to one. We have this one remote managing the TV, music, apps, Blu-Ray player, and DVR. Great deal!

I was able to connect my 46" Samsung LED TV, a Dish DVR, Bose Sound bar and Panasonic blue-ray player all to this remote on my computer first and then set-up in front of the devices. It all took about 30 - 45 minutes. For someone who is not so tech-savvy but able to operate changing functions on remotes from one device to another, I like using this remote very much. At times it will not detect a device, but if you push the HELP button and hold the remote steady pointing at the device, it typically fixes the issue and then asks you if "this fixed the problem". So that is helpful. I like Best Buys price match as I saw this same model remote on Amazon for $17.00 less and the Best Buy sales associate matched the price at the register. I just showed them the Amazon web page on my phone showing the lower price while I was checking out and he gave it to me for the lower price. All-in-all, this is a good universal remote, and give it 4 stars.

Purchased after having to use 4 separate remotes. This one remote has makes it much easier to use TV, DVD, Entertainment Center, and VCR.

It took me about 10 minutes to set up this remote on the my mac. After syncing the remote with my preferences and devices, it work seamlessly write away. I use it to control my DVR, BD Player, TV, Apple TV, and Yamaha Amplifier. The activity functions works nice because it will pick the correct devices to control specific funtions on the remote, for example; when selecting "Watch TV" activity, the remote will control the DVR for navigating functions, and will control the Amplifier for volume. One thing to note is that you need to make sure you point the remote towards your devices when starting or switching an activity. The reason I didn't give this remote 5 stars is because after dropping it once, the display screen cracked. It seemed to crack too easily for something that's handled daily.
