set up is easy, great remote. we have 3 of them. only problem is you have to create a new account for each remote.

I bought this to replace a Harmony One that my kids dropped one too many times and broke the screen. Although, this one isn't a touch screen, it's just as easy to use. It was super easy to set up and I have it working my tv, receiver, and cable box.

So long as the technology for controlling one's gear remains as awkward, touchy, and complex as a handheld IR remote, then this mid-range device seems to be capable of a lot. My quibble is less with the device than with the antiquated way that the whole set-up works, using an enormous range of buttons of many different kinds, teaching the device which codes are what, when to use them, which component to use them on, switching components to get the right response, switching back to assure the right code is being sent... But so far, whatever I've taught it to do it's done, with a few disappointing exceptions, apparently because this is mid-range and not top of the range of these types of remotes. The software syncs with an app on your computer and so the button assignments you want to make require a good deal of back and forth -- make the change on the computer, sync the device via USB, unplug and try it out, start again if it didn't work... So, the Logitech Harmony 650 does what it does pretty well, probably as well as anything else out there.

I use it to control eight different complete setups. It works on all my TV cable boxes and surround sounds.

Logitech makes the best universal remotes on the planet, and for the price of this remote, there is none better. It is easy to set up and after it is done you have all the options of your original remote. There is no sacrificing options for using a universal remote. The single button turn on and off is a nice touch also.

Programming was very easy and done in minutes. I really love this remote!

This is a nice programmable remote. It basically can control up 4 different devices. The screen in the middle is *not* a touch screen. There are buttons placed around it that are next to the indicated activity which can be programmed. Speaking of being programmed this remote must be connected to a computer using the included USB cable to be programmed. You are walked thru it, but I could see a non-computer literate user having issues. You first define your devices by make & model. Then you define which devices go to a particular activity for instance for 'Movie' you may need your TV on a particular input, your Blue-Ray on, and your stereo set to a particular channel. 'Music' may only need the stereo on. Changing activities will turn off all devices not used in the activity. I like the remote. I would recommend this to anybody with 4 or less devices to control.

I love the Harmony Remotes. We have them with every TV and I have purchased them for family members and recommended them to all my friends. These are very easy to use even for our 5 year old and for our parents, who hate technology! I like that it will run all the devices and eliminates the need for multiple remotes.

Easy to use, easy to setup, and works great with my Samsung Blu Ray player and Apple TV and Sharp Quattron TV.

The Harmony remote I chose was the same product I selected 10 years ago and works extremely well for my needs.

This remote is very user friendly, and does everything I wanted it for.

For seventy dollars it works well for a lot less than the more the next unit that sells for 250 or more, the one negative is that it has a limit of 5 things it can control! Other than that it works well and was very easy to set up with my old parameters.

I purchased this to replace a higher end Harmony remote that the kids damaged. I chose this one because the activities are available as hard buttons on top. On my previous remote, using it became a challenge when the LCD screen quit after one too many drops. This one, just about all the controls you'd ever use are available without ever using the LCD screen. This makes one of my complaints pretty minor, which is that the screen is minuscule. But since I almost don't ever need it, it's not a big deal. It programs via the Harmony website, which gives a ton of flexibility and lots of choices for devices. And it's pretty easy to do. But it can only do 5 devices. For me the TV and audio receiver took up two, leaving me maxed out after cable box, Blu-Ray, and cd changer. Luckily wii, Xbox, and computer are just a matter of input switching, so I put those under Other and called it good. But if you have a sixth device you want to control, you're out of luck on this remote. It works great for a smaller system, and because the LCD is pretty much redundant, I have high hopes for it's longevity at my house.

Once set up it works well. I wish the favorite buttons were much larger. Too easy to hit the wrong one. Also not as easy as I would like it to be to program other functions. It is my second remote from Logitech. I would buy it again.

this is the 2nd harmony remote I have owned, very happy with the unit.

The remote controls all my devices- even my Roomba ! It makes everything so much easier. It was easy to set up.
