My techno-phobe brother-in-law always watched the smaller TV in the kitchen because he couldn't make the living room TV (10yr old Sony) work with the new Sony AV receiver, Amazon Fire TV box and DVD/VHS combo box. Yes, I had to set up the equipment once, then I showed him how the straight-forward questions on the logitech software handled everything on the remote and programmed it. Now he is back watching the big TV . . . and very happy! This is the third logitech harmony remote I have given as a present and my third personal unit. Any AV system today needs one of these. My only reservation is I am waiting for logitech to produce a harmony with RF as well as IR at a good price. I expect something shortly . . .

I got this remote for my mother in law and at first she was intimidated by the idea of a new universal remote but it didn't take more than a couple hours of using it for her to realize how easy it makes things and how little practice it required to figure it out.

Once we got the hang of using this remote we really like using it, works great with all of our devices. We have an Xbox, Apple TV and a surround sound system.

I've always been a fan of Harmony remotes and this one is replacing a unit that lasted for 6 years + until one of the control keys finally gave out from constant use. In that time I have completely replaced my entertainment setup twice and all I needed to do was a simple reconfigure. The new software is even better and easy to set up.

Great remote! It has so many features and is easy to use.

Skeptical at first but have loved this remote since day one. Have been using it for 2 months now, still think it was our best purchase ever. We have a tv, bluray, a/v receiver and xfinity dvr. Programming was so simple, intuitive step-by-step computer process of changing tv inputs and receiver outputs. Best part was no typical remote code searching!! Just tell the web-based software what brands and models your devices are. There is no direction for what buttons equaled our xfinity remote functions so first night took a little playing with. But really, was no trouble at all learning to use this remote. Thought about the more expensive and cheaper Harmony, but as they program and function nearly the same, I don't think you'll go wrong with which ever one you choose.

Remote is great. It's so easy to use my wife and kids have no trouble. It doesn't always turn everything on as planned but using the help feature solves that issue quickly. Screen could be a little larger. Great remote for under 40$.

From multiroom DVR, to Netflix, to recording, playing back, to Blu Ray player, to all smart tv feature like You Tube , etc. this Harmony remote does it all. There is a small screen on it for choices and even has a help button which helps to diagnose and fix a problem.

Great device. was able to program all my devices, even some older ones that I didn't think I would be able to. I was able to eliminate 4 other remotes and it made my wife's life much easier.

I purchased this product as a practical use of my many gift cards I received to Best Buy. However upon using the remote for the first time I would have purchased it even without gift cards. It takes a little general knowledge about how your system works in order to set it up. However it is a very easy web based setup. It took me from 4 remotes down to one and every single button on each remote is available on this remote. Even unique buttons such as a Pandora or Netflix button. My girlfriend especially likes it because she no longer needs a script of commands to watch TV. you just push the "watch tv" button and you are in business!

Had a programmable remote that came with the install of my home theater. After 10 years I needed to update some components and I didn't want to pay a service fee to have a technician come out to update my remote. After researching this came up as the best in terms of functionality and value. I fully agree. Set up on line was so easy: just need to know what components you have and how they are connected to the TV. Very intuitive and with one button I turn on everything I need for what I want to do (watch Live TV, DVD, Roku, etc.). Making changes to update the remote takes little time and I can even customize the buttons to control components while using the remote. Couldn't be happier.

Have one of these myself, wife uses this remote daily, almost never have any trouble. Bought one for my parents at thanksgiving as an early Christmas present, and programmed it. It replaced a very cheap universal remote that did a poor job of standing in for the 3-4 OEM remotes. Mom was extremely nervous, but at Christmas she took me aside and told me how much she loves this device, how simple it is, and how even when there is a problem, the on-screen help steps her right to a solution with its yes / no questions. Perfect for the senior, technophobe people in your life. Only drawback is lack of ability to customize the actual device startup for an activity to add a delay and give a device time to power on before sending commands to change inputs or such.

At first I struggled with this remote. But, after a phone conversation with Harmony I was able to succeed in programing the device. My issue was me and my lack of tech skills and not the device. Now that it works for me and my wife we have one control not four.

The hardest part of programming this device is downloading the software. Fortunately I have worked with Logitech many times. This is part of a series that should not be discontinued. The Harmony One was the best of the pack. I also program URC but this is much easier!
