This was my third Harmony 650 and was purchased to replace a 4 year old model that failed. I love this model, so much flexibility and a modest price. This unit is in the home of an non-technical 89 year old man who can actually use it to select his cable box, Blu Ray and VCR to watch on his lcd and can also select his LP record player. There is no way he could ever do that with a collection of individual remotes. Hats off to tech support. We had a little trouble cloning his old settings and the technician gave it some thought and called us back with a solution. (The old settings were created with an earlier version of the software - so he directed me where to download the older revision.)

I had this programmed by the Geek Squad so not sure how it was done. This remote lights up when I touch a function and the led is easy to read. It fits nice in my hand. I just wish that there was a rubber backing so it didn't slip off the arm of my chair.

Simple operation, and it cleared off my end table!

Excellent remote which does everything that I need!

Very easy to set up at the website, after entering brands and model numbers of devices to be used. All I had to do was sit back and the app did the rest.This is the easiest remote I have ever set up,even the Sat.TV buttons work well.I would recommend this remote to anyone.It is simple to use as well as set up.

Excellent remote. Very easy to set up and works great. On those very few times when things go wrong, the help button resolves the issue for you. However, if you do have to contact customer support, "GOOD LUCK" Took them 2 weeks to even answer my email!

This remote works fine. It handles several input devices. However, it is limited to IR which means the remote needs line-of-sight while activating all the devices. Sometime you'll get impatient and turn the remote away or something is blocking a device and then something is out of sync. For $30-40 this is worth not having 4 remotes in my house, but I wish I had just sprung for the $60-80 RF version (plus that works natively with the PS3.)

I've been using Harmony remotes for over 15 years and I still think they are a great value as long as you shop in the lower price tier of their product line. The 650 currently resides in the sweet spot being available for $40 or less on sale since it is on its way to being discontinued. Initial programming is easy, and you can spend hours to customize and tweak if you want to make it really do tricks. The remotes generally last 5 or more years of heavy use before the buttons start to stick or fail, and you can reassign other buttons to extend life. Your mileage may vary. Warning, these do not like being dropped so if you are a butterfingers have a spare on hand.

I picked up 2 of these on sale for $61 each. I bought one for the living room to replace my 5 remotes in there and one to replace the 4 remotes in the bedroom. They are SO freakin' easy to set up and use. It was great to not have to look up and enter codes to program the remote for each individual device. I love using the thing. My wife likes using the thing. Even my dad, who is about as anti-technology as anyone I know, complimented how easy it is to use. That right there is something. Sure, the tech geek in me would love to have one of the higher models with the touch screen and all the extra bells and whistles, but the budget side of my brain said we had to compromise and stick with this one. I don't feel it was a bad compromise at all.

I bought this remote to replace our previous Harmony remote which was purchased in September 2013. We had trouble with that one from the get go. I usually had to re-program it about once a week. When it finally wouldn't work anymore, I began the process of troubleshooting on the Logitech website. Having never been able to get a response from customer service, and getting tired of using 4 remotes again; I went out and purchased this one. So far so good, have not had to re-program of sync it yet, so we are looking forward to this remote helping us to simplify our entertainment system.

It does everything you want. It would be five stars but the software is very quirky. Usually I have to plug remote in several times to get it to sync. Then I often get an error saying sync can't complete. If the software was more stable five stars.

These remotes are very easy to program, it is all done online. Their equipment database is immense. You just add the equipment you are using to the remote and then tell it what you want to do. It already knows the commands. We had an older model, Harmony 628, which was out of date as remotes go, so purchased this as an upgrade and now use the Harmony in a bedroom. Since the settings were already stored on Logitech's site we were able to import the old settings into the new remote so there was a minimum of changes needed. And you can have multiple remotes with different settings under your login.

I bought this remote to replace another multi-device remote that I owned. The other remote would work with my FiOS DVR box and my Insignia TV, but it would only turn my Insignia sounder on (no volume adjustment) and it wouldn't work with my Toshiba Blu-Ray at all. I followed the quick setup guide that came with the remote and had it up, running and controlling all of my devices fully in under 30 minutes. An added bonus with this remote that I didn't even know about when I purchased it is that it has some type of pickup detection so the keypad lights up as soon as you pick it up in a darkened room, which is very helpful since I was using this on the equipment in my bedroom.

Love this remote. Was needing to consolidate device remotes/functionality for my Dad but didn't want to spend $200 on a fancy universal remote. This Logitech was/is perfect, was pretty easy to set up (as long as you know serial numbers of all your devices), and has made life so much easier for operating a HD TV, Apple TV, Yamaha A/V receiver, router, DVR, and DVD player at once. Great purchase.

Unlike any other Universal Remote...very simple to set up/program. It will handle up to eight devices and has an easy to learn button selection. By far the best remote I've ever owned.

Bought this to replace my Sony learning remote (which I love but doesn't work with my new Xfinity X1 cable box). After a couple hours of configuring it to work the way I want it to with all of my equipment, I couldn't be happier. The color screen that turns on when you tilt the remote is a nice touch. The package says you can use with up to 5 devices but with a recent update to the logitech harmony website, you can now use 8 devices which is a very welcome upgrade. Is it worth the price? Maybe. If you have more that 3 devices you want to control, I'd say yes. Get yourself one.

picked this up with best buy reward certificates and a coupon, so only paid $8, and figured i would give it a try. works great with basic set up (tv, home theater, dish satellite box, and xbox). does not like my wirless media box (LG AN-WL100L) because it creates additional "satellite/wireless" hdmi 1,2,3,&4 on top of the wired hdmi 1,2,3,&4. the logitech will not pick up the satellite hdmi inputs. i was planning on dumping the media box and running the wires through the wall anyway. but all in all, great product. easy set up with lots of functionality. the "help" button is a great feature.

Fairly easy but a little time consuming to set up. Works with 4k hdtv, 4k blue ray player, cable box, and sound bar. One button turns everything on or off. No more clutter of remotes

I now own 3 of these remotes and purchased these 2 because I was so satisfied with my 1st one. It is very responsive to operate, easy to setup and was a good price point. Would definately recommend to anyone.
