I bought this remote because I had 6 remotes in my livingroom and no one else in the house understood what to turn on and what imput the tv had to be on and forget it if they wanted to watch a blue ray and have the stereo on. So I bought the remote with low expectations. I took it home and within 20 minutes set it up on my computer and identified all of the equipment and imputs. The remote plugged in th the computer and all info downloaded. Now my wife and kids only hit one button "watch tv" and all components needed turn on and go th the correct inputs the channel buttons control the cable and the volume controls the stereo. It is well worth the money and now I only need 1 remote.

I love how easy it is to program off the internet on your computer. Works very well and has a lot of customization. I have more than one of them. Definitely try to get one on sale.

    Great replacement for Harmony One

Once the remote was set up it worked as expected. This unit replaced a Harmony One that died due (battery could not be replaced because it was swollen). Although it does not have the touch screen, the shape of the remote, button layout, and functionality is very similar to the Harmony One. I got this because I did not like the layout of the Harmony touch screen remotes. The one issue was set up. I tried to transfer the settings from the Harmony One to the 650. The problem is that the 650 is set up via an account on the website. The Harmony One is set up on a software application installed on the computer. When I transferred the settings and activities from the Harmony One software to the website account for the 650, the activity buttons that I set up on the new website account would not map correctly on the screen of the 650. To resolve this I had to call Harmony support (this is my fifth Harmony remote and I never had to call tech support before setting up this remote). It turns out that during the transfer all the activities on the Harmony One (e.g. watch DVD, Watch TV) were classified as "custom activities" on the 650. The tech support person had to manually redo all of my activities so that they would not be "custom". Then the buttons on the web site account matched the screen of the remote. Bottom line is, if you are replacing a remote that uses the Harmony Remote software to a new remote that is set up using an account on the Harmony website, you may be better off starting from scratch rather than transferring the settings from the old to the new Harmony. It is too bad Harmony can not make the process of replacing an old Harmony remote a little simpler. Before you set up your activities, you should also carefully consider what order you want them to show up on the LCD screen. What ever order you set up your activities will be the order they will display as page through your activities (e.g. if you set up "Listen to Radio" first then it will be the first one you see when you page through the activities on the screen). Unlike the Harmony One, you can change the order of your activities once they are set up (at least not without some kind of hack or work around). The packaging says it replaces five remotes. But the website (and the tech I talked to) assured me it supports eight (seems like a software update occurred since the remote came out).

What an amazing Remote! We had 5 brand new remotes with our new systems, this took care of EVERYTHING!!! Highly RECOMMEND the GEEK SQUAD (we had Caleb) to set this up. Our guy was amazing, he made sure we knew what every button did, how to navigate from screen to screen, & all without "dumbing" us down.

Does a good job. I used it to replace remotes for my TV, sound system and DVD player. You can program it so most things are a one click operation. For example, I set it up on my PC so when I click the Watch TV button, it turns on the TV, sets input to HDMI2 and turns on the sound system. Occasionally things don't work quite right (sound was on and it get's toggled off instead, etc), but it's got a nice menu system to get the to device you want and change it. The remote has a small LCD window which turns on automatically when you pick up the remote, which I like. So I'm very happy with it. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and really does replace the 3 remotes I was using before.

    Good basic Harmony remote

Does all of the basic Harmony functions well but limited to IR only and supports only 8 devices (which should be enough for most folks). No bluetooth. Cannot be used with Sony Playstation products (PS3 only works with an additional $65 add on accessory) Can be a bit slow on turing on devices as it needs to cycle through everything but still better than using multiple remotes.

This remote is great if your system is not too complex. I have enjoyed a Harmony 100 for a number of years and miss the touch screen capability but for a bedroom with just a receiver, blurray and Apple TV this remote does the job.

The Harmony 650 lives up to the hype. The family is happy using one remote versus a box of them. The Harmony is easy to set up. It is intuitive and easy to use. Excellent value and worth buying.

When I read the reviews I was sold on the unit. I got it home opened it up and followed the directions. This means you have to hook it up to a PC to "program" the remote. It only took a few minutes and I was done. It is not perfect but really close. It won't turn my cable box on or off but it will control it and pull up the guide. Sometimes it turns the wrong thing on and off. It does have a great range as I can turn everything on and off from the other side of the room and part way into the adjacent room.

At under $30 when on sale, this remote is well worth the price. Once you have used any of the Logitech Harmony remotes with the screen, it is very easy to set up and use others in the 600 and 700 series. Many of the commands can be copied from other remotes already in your software and it is a great way to save wear on the original remotes for your electronic items. My only (minor) complaint is I would like to be able to program more than 8 devices.

If you use multiple home theater components, this will make it easy as it can be by putting all your remotes in one handheld. The setup is easy. To use it is easy. My wife couldn't get the hang of turning on the TV, receiver and the cable box just to watch a TV show. Invariably she would hit the wrong button at the wrong time or not know how to switch the inputs on the TV to go from DVD player back to the cable box. With this unit you press the "watch TV" button and the TV, receiver and cable box come on. It sets the TV input correctly. The volume up button increases the volume on the receiver. The channel up button changes the cable box. All as I chose during the setup. YOU WILL LOVE THIS REMOTE

Easy set up (confession-daughter did it in 10 minutes max). Replaced old one that got soaked by toddler. Easy to use, love the "help" button that fixes things when they get out of sync. I use for cable box, tv and sound bar.

I normally don't worry about websites like these containing viruses because companies generally like their consumers to be safe. Somehow though, this site pushed a nasty virus on to my laptop and I had to wipe it. I've never had a virus on this laptop as I do keep it rather well protected. Silly me. The remote is great though. I could use 1 more device programmed but I didn't want to spend the money to go to the next model up. For the $60 orso I spent, it's terrific and paired easily with our AT&T U-Verse, Yamaha receiver, Sony Blu-ray and Apple TV.

Christopher Geek Squad set this up for me. He did a fantastic job. So far we love it but will need to have GS back since it does not connect with sound bar at times. I will review again when it is connected to everything.
