Unable to program the cable company remote for my equipment configuration (TV, audio receiver, DVD, DVR) I went looking for another remote. The Logitech 650 was reasonably priced and top rated in a CNET review. I was not disappointed. The programming worked the first time I entered the equipment configuration. I had to learn how to operate it, but this was not too difficult. For general control the remote does the job and I don't have to go to the specific equipment remotes for anything except special settings like picture changes on the TV.

For the money I wasn't sure if I needed to get the newer 700 model but after a little research I decided on the 650 and I'm glad I did! Just a few minutes hooked up through USB to my computer and I was ready. Controls everything now Direct TV, Big Screen, Sound Bar, Blue Ray, Netflix, Xbox One! I can put each task in its own mode and just push 1 button to get started. No more input button for this or what HDMI hook up it that on. It's all linked the way you program it. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

This remote is amazing. I found it quite by chance as I didn't like our new TV's remote-it was pretty much useless just for the TV, much less pairing it with anything else. With this remote, you just go online and enter the brands of whatever devices you have, satellite box, DVD player etc. and it pulls up all the info on those devices. You then pair them together - so, when you watch TV, you might pair it with the TV, satellite box and the audio player. Now when you push "Watch TV", it will turn on all those items. Then, while you are in that mode of play, you have access to all the items as if you had that devices remote in hand. You simply have to try this remote, it is amazing!

It's fine to have Internet access be an optional feature - which allows you to store your settings in the cloud for easy retrieval and migration to another Logitech harmony remote. I don't understand why it's required - and it's enough to affect my overall rating. Seriously, you can't use the software unless you login to the Internet based application. You can customize just about all the buttons to do what the original device remote can do. So for the very basic folk - install the software - select your devices - and set the one "activity" to power on your system and then sync the software and remote. If you want to get into the customization - removing all the extra fluff you don't use and setting the buttons to do exactly what you want to do - then be advised the software will take some patience to use. You will want to sit in front of your entertainment system with a laptop and all your remotes. If your computer is a desktop and it's not anywhere near where you will be using the remote - expect multiple trips back and forth to get all the settings right. The more I used the software, the more I disliked it - but fortunately, once you suffer through all the pointing and clicking and saving/sync'ing to the remote - you shouldn't have to use the software again. I'm very familiar with technology - so I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for someone who doesn't. Even with the painful customization - I'd still recommend it.

This is a good remote that is fairly easy to use and program. It does eat through batteries rather quickly!

Disappointed that this remote and Harmony one touch only allows for EITHER internal or external TV Speakers. Should be an option to run BOTH the TV speakers and sound bar without jumping thru hoops and switching devices

My daughter suggested this product for our devices, I am pleased with the overall function and advantage of one remote control, instead of having several remote controls. If a person is not tech savy, this is the perfect solution to the "to many remotes" issue. Thank You PK Messinger

I bought this remote after our puppy chewed on our Harmony One and cracked the display. Luckily it coincided with Black Friday sales, so we bought it online for around half of the normal price. The button layout is very similar to the much more expensive Harmony One, and the remote functions almost exactly the same. We are using it for our smaller living room setup, which consists of a TV, set top box, receiver, and Bluray player. Set was extremely easy since we migrated from the existing Harmony One configuration, and little change was required. Configuring a new Harmony remote is easy though, as their software walks you through nearly every aspect of the setup.

My old harmony one fell on the floor and broke. Bought this one for a fraction of the price and it's fantastic. It was very easy to sync my devices to my old profile. Very satisfied.

We have had a lot of problems with this universal remote. Supposedly, when you hit "watch TV", everything you need to watch TV goes on. However, other than a couple of times that it has worked, something does not go on - usually the sound. We had the Geek Squad come out and they said it was because of where we were pointing it, but we have done everything they said, but still problems. On the bright side, there is a help button that is supposed to correct everything, and so far, this has worked well.

The Logitech Harmony 650 is easy to set up and use and comes at a great price. I would definitely recommend this as a great solution to multiple devices/remotes.

Love it, bought it on black friday for $34 and im glad i did. We have 6 devices and the remote works with all of it. I like how you can set different activities and very easy to program.

Great remote. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Works like magic....just wish it was chargeable rather than changing the batteries out frequently.

The one stop start buttons are great and setting them up was simple even for a fairly complex system. The touch screen is small but handles menu levels well good value for the price.

Easy set up and thorough software has made this a pleasure to use. I bought it to replace a Harmony 650 that never worked quite right with my system and finally just didn't work, period. This one is everything I wanted except one big missing, there is no button to light up the controls. In a darkened room you will miss-hit buttons until you learn the remote by touch, which could take awhile. They had a reason to skimp on that but to me and the viewers in my house its been a complaint.

I purchased this on sale for a Chritmas gift to my parents. They opened it and were skeptical to say the least. I Had it set up for them in about 15 minutes running everything that their previous 5 remote system was, but with 1 remote. TV, DVD-VHS player, Cable box, Blu-ray, and even their older Sony receiver was all linked and running with this single remote. One button to watch TV, to watch a movie, sounds was all controlled with the Logitech remote, and not the receiver remote. Works amazingly. Now they are just adapting to one remote, it is almost too easy for them and they are looking for their harder way to do. Now I need to get myself one of these.

May be the best electronics purchase I have made. Easy to set up, works all my devices including my Integra receiver and all its bells and whistles. Can't give it enough praise on how much I am impressed with this remote. Very well designed too, love how it fits perfectly in my hand.

My son-in-law gave me a logitech universal remote several years ago for Christmas. I used it for a while, but gave up on it, so I was a little leary of spending even a small amount on a new one. I was pleasantly surprised by just how easy it was to set up and how seamlessly it integrated my devices. The one drawback is that it won't operate my Roku streaming stick. Oh well, I am down from 4 remotes to 2, and my wife is happier.
