Simply put, make a list of all the brands and model numbers of your equipment you use in one room. Plug in the included USB cable to the remote and your computer. Locate your equipment from their extensive list. Enter your make and model numbers and save each one. Review your list and verify it's correct. Unplug the remote and take to your equipment and select any of the programmed functions you want it to do. Press the "Help" button if something does not work correctly and it will make it work.

The remote was easy to program with the computer app. I had lost the remote to an older Pioneer a/v receiver, and this replacement allows adjustment of center, front, rear, and subwoofer speaker size, volume, and delay which can only be done with remote. Granted, it was possible to purchase the original remote online, with mixed reviews, but this was a preferred upgrade since it also controls other components. The one button push to watch tv or listen to music, where all components are turned on and set to proper input is well worth the cost of the remote.

Easy set up,works great. Got rid of all my other remotes. Read instructions, for the price wow! You can go more expensive and touch screen but why?

I researched several remote control solutions to help solve one issue...helping my parents fully utilized their TV/Dish/Blueray equipment. The need to change inputs was difficult for them to understand and thus they never used the blue ray player. This remove (once I set it up for them), allowed one button operation to turn on devices and change inputs as needed. They now can watch movies with the click of a button. Highly recommended

I needed a replacement when the remote for my DVR stopped working. I did some research and found this remote to be excellent. I have had the remote for almost a year, and it has held up well. This remote handles all of my devices and automatically turns on the TV, DVR, and receiver with one button. The only minor downside is that batteries last around 2 months. Then again, this remote has a LED screen and the device also has back-lit buttons.

I've been using the Harmony 650 for years, and then I moved and needed a new one. No brainer went and got another, as it works beautifully. The programmation is a bit of a hit and miss because you need to plug/unplug it in your computer to program/upload the activities/buttons setups into the remote - I'm using it to control an Yamaha receiver, an Insignia TV, and Roku, to switch between it all those plus XBox and computer inputs. But once you got it as you like it it's a breeze. This one easily accepts rechargeable batteries, btw. Highly recommended !!!

I owned a Logitech Harmony 550 for many years, then when I bought a new tv, I upgraded to the 650. I like it a lot, but where the 550 could support up to 15 devices, the 650 can only support 8, so that was slightly disappointing. but I made it work.

Awesome remote great controls let's you use alot of devices so much easier then using 5 different remotes all the time and it was easy to set up

This was a replacement for a 3-year old Harmony 650. The programmable buttons around the screen get used so much that eventually, it stopped springing back. This new one will most likely suffer from that somewhere down the line, but for now, it was easy to just sign into the website and re-download my presets, no fuss. I would like to be able to control a couple more components (Apple TV, at least), but the next step up is about 3x more expensive, so I keep coming back to the 650.

I enjoyed the customization features as well as the over functionality of the remote. Great for entertainment centers with multiple devices.

If you are looking for a good universal remote that is affordable, you can't do much better than this remote. It is customizable, pretty simple to set up, and can manage anything that uses IR. The only downside about the remote is that it doesn't include bluetooth, meaning it can't control your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 directly (though there may be an adapter for this). I'm using it with a Roku, Apple TV, Denon receiver, and a Samsung TV and it has no problem controlling all of these.

I had the 880 for over 5 years w/o any issues, but finally the ir signal gave out so I opted for the less expensive version since I now have less components on our main TV (remote can handle 4 components)...Easy to set up, but if its lightly dropped it goes thru a whole new setup deal thats annoying...easy to use, and I just like logitect stuff, so overall I really cant complain too much!

This was my first recent purchase of a universal remote, so it took a bit of getting used to using my computer to program it. Using the software is pretty straightforward and very helpful. One caveat, unless you take the time to understand the remote functions, it can be confusing, especially if you also use your cable providers remote. Some functions will turn on multiple devices, so if your television is already on, you the remote will shut it off.

Unlike entry- and mid-level universal remotes I've used in the past, this one spoke nicely with my components immediately, and the basic Watch TV/Watch Film macros have been timed successfully to not confuse the TV/receiver/Blu-ray HDMI handshake, etc. The Logitech software is still not brilliant, but it gets the job done if you're willing to fiddle for a bit. Had it up and running as desired within an hour, maybe a few small tweaks since, and no complaints from anyone in the family.

Once you get the plug-in installed it's fairly simple to program the remote. Just select your devices from the list. I have 4 devices that I use for different viewing and listening options. One button press and the TV, cable box, and amp all cut on to the correct setting. If something doesn't work right, there is a convenient help menu that does self correcting to fix the problem. Sometimes doesn't work well at sharp angles. Aim straight on or angle the devices to your preferred seating position and you are golden. I would definitely recommend this remote. Especially when you can get it on sale!

Fantastic. Watch TV with one button. Watch a movie with one button. Controls my TV, DirectTV, DVD, Sound bar and Wii. One remote. Easy to set up. This is the one.

This remote operates all my electronic equipment. My husband is in "hog heaven" because it is so easy to use. We had friends visiting over the holidays and they were truly impressed. They said that they were going to buy this remote...And they did!

I'm impressed with this remote, it works better than my previous $150 remote, setup was super easy and after getting it going it is a breeze, controlling all my components with one remote and not needing to swith between TV receiver cable box is great.

I purchased this remote back in 2014. In 2017, this remote still functions perfectly. I would give this remote a 5 out of 5 because I love it. However, for the less-than tech-savvy people (like my wife and son), it is rather difficult for them to use and I end up having to come to the rescue to turn the TV on and get to the correct input. Perhaps this is how I have the remote setup, but I believe most will find the same difficulties.

This is my second Harmony Remote that I have bought at Best Buy. They are durable and reliable. They take a lot of abuse including dropping on the ground and still work. I would recommend this Harmony remote to all customers of Best Buy and the world
