This is the first smart remote I have ever owned. I found that this remote was easy to set up and use. I highly recomend this remote.

Good remote but does not keep on tv or reciever when switching from BD/DVD to TV, kind of annoying.

The Harmony700 remote seems to be able to do just about anything you want it to do. Problem is the setup software is about the worst I've ever used and the user manual is of virtually no help when it comes to customizing the buttons. I expected a lot better from Logitech. The setup database installs commands that your units may not even have like the ability to select multiple disks when your DVD only has one! Logitech needs to go back to the drawing board for the setup software if they want to sell a lot of these units. I suspect that the remote can do far more then the software will currently allow.

Unfortunately, Logitech does not support their products well. If you read blog reviews, you will see that the buttons fail intermittently within 6-8 months after purchase. On-Off switch, Volume buttons, all of them. Emails to Logitech have gone unanswered. Unless you don't mind buying a new unit every 6 months or so, then try for yourself.

I have ahd a number of harmony remotes. They are great. Would definitely buy again.

I wanted an RF remote, so I was disappointed to start with. However, the report is nice and fairly easy to use. The problem I have is that, for a simple entertainment system, the cable remote is better suited.

I would recommend it.It is easy to setup and use within a matter of minutes.

I have owned several Harmony Remotes over the last 8 years. This is very poor Harmony remote, probably why it was 50% off. Setup was easy, but very limited on customizations. Remote was very slow when using Activites. The remote transmits for over a minute just to to turn on the TV and Cable Box. Help Feature has been really crippled. Lots of reviews about how others loved it, they probably haven't owned previous models and are not used to a Quality Harmony Remote.

I bought this one which advertised AC adapter instead of the 650 battery source. What a stupid setup - I thought I would be getting a "standup" charger like my Panasonic phones. I will return and buy a 650 model. To recharge one has to use the smallest plug I've ever seem. Just useless. I've worn out my old 650 and am trying to replace it.

Great piece of equipment and sure saves on having a lot of remotes.

I picked this remote up at a great price around the holidays!

Got the new Samsung TV with surround sound, blu-ray DVD player and a DVR. So this remote works all of these. I hate this remote!!! Most of the time when I turn on the TV and the surround sound is supposed to come on, the TV comes on but the other doesn't! And it's the same when you turn it off. The TV goes off, but the surround sound doesn't!! Turning the volume up and down is horrible!! You can't just turn it up or down a couple notches, it's either way up or way down and you have to keep working to get it where you want it!

When I hit the TV button, it goes on, but then I have to play around to get the cable box, the again to get volumn control. Often thes throws the TV into a different HDMI which means I have to pla agin to get the right HDMI. Sure it helps with digital screen help, but I was looking for a simplified controler, when I turn on the TV it goes on with the cable box and volumn control. Not worth the bucks! I also got 6-8 months off a pair of double A's. Now I get maybe a week off of a charge.

The remote does everything it is supposed to do. I love it. However, I have to by new batteries now because the ones that came with the remote won't charge.

Overall very happy, although wish it had more buttons that would mirror my TWC DVR.

I am sometimes confused with how to handle it. I wasnt home for the setup so i still get confused. Not very user friendly.

I am so disappointed with Logitech. I always have thought of Logitech as producing quality products. And after reading about what this remote can do and how it is set up through the web, I was so excited about getting one. But the reality is that After buying one and trying to initially charging the batteries, which would not charge, I had to take it back. Yes it was a hassle, but I still wanted one so I exchanged it for a new one. Guess what? It too would not charge it's batteries. So sad for me and Logitech too if they want to remain in business. Because I'm pretty sure that they have lost a loyal customer. This really sucks!

This is the 2nd Logitech remote that I have owned. The set up is simple enough and if you like to tinker a bit, there are quiet a few neat things you can do with this device. I am however not a fan. The construction of both of my Logitech remote controls were total garbage! Buttons markings wear off quickly. The micro usb slot is flimsy at best, and the IR range is very poor. My devices are controled much better with their stock remotes (perhaps jut the nature of the beast, but at over $100 I expect more!). The color LCD screen is more of a gimick than anything...You can't change the color or customize the background. And the images shown on the packaging are GREATELY exagerated. Custom favorite chanel icons are a bit more difficult to install than they should be...on demand functionality for the cable company is dificult to program as a single keystroke! Also the 700 can only control 6 total devices...if you have 7 devices tough luck...you will have to spend double your money for a harmony one!
