I've been using the Harmony Hub (not included) and basic remote for years now. I have 3 of them. I like the basic remote because you can drop it and it doesn't break and the battery can last up to a year. The remote screen is a nice size but is too low resolution for my taste. If you're use to looking an an iPhone X OLED screen, the pixel density leaves a lot to be desired but is still decent. I decided to give this remote a shot since I wanted to add several more tvs to the same room for the NCAA March Madness etc. This remote also gives you the ability to add more devices and activities compared to the basic remote which is limited to 6 or so. Pros: The big winner on this remote is the built-in IR blaster. In my current setup, my LG SK9Y wasn't picking up on the IR signal and I didn't want a blaster visible since they are so big and clunky looking compared to professional options. I also wanted to control 2 additional Samsung TVs in the same room and needed to place the 2 on the back side of my tv cabinet on the extreme edges of the stand. The biggest challenge is that the Harmony Hub only has 2 IR blaster outputs where professional options have 8 or more. Having the dedicated IR blaster on the remote makes my setup possible. The other great thing about this remote is the bottom 4 buttons to control my Philips Hue lights. I am still learning my options here and think Logitech could make the integretion for scenes easier to change. I do love being able to turn on off my lights without having to use my phone. Cons: Logitech needs to work with TV companies like Samsung / LG to control these tvs via bluetooth. It would make the process so much more seamless. I love my LG remote that has the motion / wand action. If they could add the sensors to next gen, it would be killer. It makes using the built in web browser a pleasure to use. Lastly, I hope they increase the pixel density to the screen and add more IR ports on the hub. I realize this is a consumer product and it will work great for the masses. If you're looking to do do something outside the box, hope this review helps.

    The solution to remote collections

I started having a collection of remotes in my living room. About 6 to be exact. It became confusing to turn on the TV for my wife. I researched lots of remotes and this one seemed to have everything you could need to eliminate the clutter. IT WORKED GREAT!!! I put all the remotes in a drawer and not just have one remote. This looks awesome as well. It has a nice charging stand and very simple user interface. Installation is easy, but you need a laptop to make it efficient. I highly recommend this for home theaters and wives that love tv.

This remote is Awesome! I am able to control several devices like my: 1. DISH Network Hopper with Sling DVR, 2. Yamaha Aventage RX-A1070 3. OPPO UDP-205 and OPPO UDP-203 4.LG OLED65E6P 5.Samsung UN65JS8500 6. SAMSUNG UBD-K8500 7. SAMSUNG UN55JS7000 8. SAMSUNG LN52A650 9.Roku 4K 10. Sharp Aquos 60 inch tv 11. DISH NETWORK SUPER Joey 12. SONY PS4 This remote is awesome and much better then the Harmony hub that I first tried out as it was a cheaper alternative to the 950 but with voice control which failed with my Google Home and i don't own the Amazon Echo to try it out with the Harmony Hub. Anyways if you are looking to releave your 8+ remotes in your home then this is the device for you! However keep in mind that the PS4 is NOT compatible with the Harmony 950 as it is only compatible with bluetooth remotes. The 950 is IR. The only thing I don't like about this remote is that the program to set up the hamony 950 forced me to count my PS4 as one of the 15 devices in order to create a task for my tv and A/V receiver to turn on my tv and set my receiver to input AV2. I also wish that the buttons were lit brighter than they are, they are too dim for me even to see at night but it's not a deal breaker. Other then that I highly recommend this Harmony 950, it's the same remote as the elite but with out the hub which also comes with 1 IR blaster if you buy it alone or with 2 IR Blasters if you get it as the Elite package.

Easy to use even for the non geeky. That being said if you’re one of those like me, I do advise having it demonstrated by the Geek Squad or someone familiar with tech savvy products. Once you get the hang of it you’ll love it!

Gotta say I have owned many not only Harmony but other universal remotes in the past, but this Harmony Elite is the best one by far. From the quick response, buttery smooth controls and excellent feel makes it a perfect companion for your smart home. I upgraded from the Ultimate Home version it's definitely an upgrade. I definitely recommend, specially with the Harmony Hub.

This is my 6th Harmony remote, they all work well from the $40 one to the Harmony One and this 950. They are EZ to set up and if there is an issue it's quick to fix. This 950 does have a keypad on the touch screen a bit of a pain but the size of this remote is smaller then all the others I own. It would have gotten a 5 star review but the battery is not replaceable as all the others. Don't think these batteries from China will last, meaning a new remote before it's time. My oldest remote that the 950 is replacing is 15 years old+.

I was very hesitant to spend $200 on a mere remote. I can't believe I'm saying this but it has made things easier. A universal remote can achieve some items but this takes the cake and covers every device for me. I love being able to customize activities so switching between my blu-ray, DVR, Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick is simple one click. It does take a little bit of work to configure the device and remember what you configure on the four custom buttons - but it's worth it. The charging stand is awesome. And if the battery is too low, I can keep it on the charging stand and have the back IR port point to my entertainment center and it'll still do what I'm requesting it to do. How it feels in your hand is pretty good. It's definitely bottom heavy so one handed operation on the touch screen might cause you to drop it (haven't dropped it yet but am terrified to). Will I purchase another in the future? Possibly yes - maybe a cheaper model since it's still a bit pricey, in my opinion. But Logitech makes a pretty solid product.

    Logitech Harmony is the Best

I bought the 950 to replace my Harmony One which although still working fine after about 7 years was showing a bit of wear. The Harmony remotes are the best thing to happen to TV since the invention of the remote itself. Easy setup on the PC, great ergonomics, materials & design. This one has quite a few improvements. First of all it gets rid of number key buttons which today aren't used very much which makes the device smaller and easy to handle with one hand. Those keys are still available on the touch screen. The screen itself is now more like a smart phone screen where you can swipe and touch. It programs any channel you want automatically depending on your location and TV service with nice logo icons on the screen. Many of the buttons have dual functions depending on short or long presses, which again makes the remote smaller and easier to use.

This remote does everything I need, and easily. Setup up was quick and smooth. I use it to control TV, DVR, Apple TV and home theater, it works seamlessly with all of these devices. Having owned several "budget" universal remotes over the years, I was skeptical about the price vs. value. I can say you get what you pay for, this is the most hassle-free remote I have ever used. The only downside is the battery life. On the plus side, it is rechargeable. On the down side, if you forget to charge it overnight or while at work, you'll have to wait to use it until charged. My unit has to be charged every 1 1/2 days. That's just slightly better battery life than my iPhone 6. Not a deal-breaker, but it can be a drag.

    Upgrading from Harmony 650

I was hesitant on purchasing such an expensive remote, as the Logitech 650 was doing it's job properly, but one of the buttons stopped working. I tried re-routing the buttons, as to not use the faulty button, but it became a big hassle. I did a lot of research on the Harmony 950, and it has it's pro's and cons. PROS: Easy to set up, especially if you have your configurations saved from your 650. Faster at turning on all my devices than my 650 Touch screen, with a hint of lag, but not a deal breaker. Love the look and feel. Option to add a Harmony Hub CONS: Price, Price, Price. The hint of lag on the touche screen.

I have 2 Harmony Ones, Harmony 700, and a Harmony 900. I have always thought that the Harmony One and 900 were ergonomically the best remotes ever. I even bought a used Harmony One because I hated the new style. Finally Harmony has come back to the fold, with a charging cradle (must have) and an ergonomically pleasing remote. The updates with the favorite channels and icons (I used to have to manually download JPEGs of the channels and import them) is a winner. The remote is simple to program and you can now manage multiple remotes from their new software, instead of needing individual logins for each remote. If you want to go through cabinets, get the Harmony Elite, which is basically the Harmony 950 with RF capabilities. I didn't need to go through anything, so the 950 was the logical choice. Features such as swipe up and down on the screen for volume control, swipe right and left for rewind and fast forward makes it really easy too. As a dedicated Harmony user for 5 years, I put this at the top of my list and is the only way to go. Unless you have rabbit ears coming out of your TV, I would recommend this device.

I swapped out an old Harmony One remote for my home theater. I was so used to the One that I contemplated getting another one through an online site, considering they're no longer in production. However, when I noticed this model was on sale for less than I could purchase the old model, I decided to bite the bullet on this one instead. I'm glad I did. I like the different charge cradle and to be honest, the features for the most part are the same between the two remotes. It controls my tv, amp, pre-amp, Xbox, and cable box perfectly. There's a cool feature on this remote that would allow you to control the lighting in the room (additional hardware needed separately). The only con to this remote I'd say is that they took away the numeric keypad and integrated it into the touch screen. Now instead of having immediate access to the number pad, you need to scroll through a couple of pages on the touch screen to reach the numbers. Not a big deal, but it did take some getting used to for me. Overall, Logitech makes great remotes. They're easy to setup, really user friendly and control everything you have and then some. I'd definitely recommend this remote.

I have a Harmony hub system connected to my main TV and I bought this as a replacement for the original universal remote. For the most part, it works really well. And Harmony has updated its programming system, so you can change your different setups via smartphone or tablet, which is also great. But the remote sometimes doesn't charge well when you put it in the cradle, particularly as the remote ages. So there will be times, after you've had it for a while, where you'll put the remote in the cradle, leave for work and get home only to discover it didn't charge and is out of power. Also, very occasionally, it will send the wrong signal when you try to change the volume quickly or change channels quickly and may activate some other change. I then have to power everything down and re-select the setup I was using. I do have a complex setup with DVD, computer, two gaming devices, Apple TV and cable tunes all connected to the same TV. So it may be different for people with simpler setups.

The remote works pretty well. I’d say it lags a bit when selecting an activity. It will sometimes not turn on each device when selecting the certain activity you set up, but only if you’re not pointing the remote at said device. They say if you get the hub, it’ll connect anywhere in the house without “pointing” but nevertheless, it works pretty well. Set up was simple, but having to connect to your laptop to download the software was eh. In my head, an universal remote should be able to use the actual remote to connect the devices similar to the way you connect using your default remote they give you with your cable provider.

Works well and pairs with many home theater devices. Install an app on your computer and connect the 950 via it's included cord. You can then set up the 950 by choosing from a long list of manufacturers and components and providers like Dish, Direct TV, cable operators, etc. Only gripe I have is that the touch screen may jump from activities to devices by a random touch of the screen. Good backlight on the control buttons. This does not control other devices in the home such as lighting, window curtains, etc. You need the next model up for that.

The remote definitely improved my situation and connecting the various sources was relatively easy. This remote requires the hub in order to work, which is ‘meh’. The battery charger takes quite awhile, and I’d expect a longer battery life span then the one it provides.
