Nice Hub for Home Automation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been eyeing this Hub for a while. With the recent addition of native support for Google Home as well as existing integration with the app IFTTT, I decided to pull the trigger. I wish app control on tablets allowed portrait mode, but the included remote is more than functional and RF which is a plus. I use this on a daily basis to control my entertainment system with my voice using Google Home, hoping for more robust commands in the future, but overall a good setup.

IR is life; interface is sometimes not intuitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a hybrid in cabinet and out of cabinet setup with an IR receiver on top of my big screen. Other universals with wifi features could reach one device but not others and was rendered useless. Only issue is the strange interface which, depending on the screen, has different methods to go back, different methods to access extra features and different finger swipes. However, some features could be altered from default using the software which was super useful

It works with streaming sticks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Harmony remotes for years, and love them. They are the only universal remotes I know of that are truly universal. They worked fine for me until I cancelled cable and went all streaming, which is getting very common. The problem is that the Harmony 665 does not work with streaming sticks, such as Roku. The Harmony remotes with a hub do work with streaming sticks. The problem with any of the Harmony remotes is that they're a pain to set up, but once they are, they work perfectly. No trying to figure out which button to push, if you want to watch TV just push the TV button. It turns on all the devices and sets them to the proper settings. If you're having trouble setting it up, pay the 16 year old kid next door $20 and they can probably get it up and running quickly. I knocked one star off the review because the remote is not as versatile as the Harmony 665. It doesn't have the LCD screen which guides you. There is a free app which allows a phone or tablet to be used as a remote. I haven't used the app much, maybe that will work better. Just know that if you're tired of juggling multiple remotes, Harmony remotes will fit the bill.

Remote eliminator for the tech saavy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product works well. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars due to the complexity of setup. Could not get the mobile app and hub to communicate,2.5 hrs drilling down to the root of the problem. Finally resetting both router and modem got the hub to connect to the mobile app. Setting up the activities was easier on the desktop, than on the mobile app. Works fine with Alexa voice commands through my Bose Sound bar.

Does a good job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does not have some of the features of other Harmony remotes (help and eject button) but it does get the job done. you can access all the features on your cell phone or tablet through the Harmony app.

Great Overall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this product does what it needs to. I'd recommend either buying the Elite with the lit up remote or using an IPAD with the Harmony app if you will be in a dark room. We have a theater room and I use the IPAD app. It works well and I have it connected to the Amazon Echo for Voice commands. Make sure you know where you are going to put the IR Blaster and Hub. It needs to BOUNCE off surfaces to work. This DOES NOT WORK over WIFI. It's IR ONLY.

Simplify your life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech makes great products, and this remote is no exception. Worked perfectly with all our electronics and was even easy for the non-tech savvy folks to master. Work great with our Echo too.

Great solution for controlling multiple devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote works very well for controlling my Nvidia Shield while being able to turn on/off my LG TV and adjust the volume on my Vizio soundbar. It also is able to turn on and off my living room Hue light bulbs for the proper ambiance during movies. My only negative comment is that sometimes the IR blaster on the hub sometimes seems to stop working and I have to restart the hub before it will work again.

Great product and app
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the sleek design and the fact that there is not an LCD screen for me to break (like I did with the last one). Also love the app... Made setting up the devices a breeze compared to our old remote.

Pretty good all in one remote.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good all in one remote. Smart hub tends to drop off the wireless network often. Additionally, the hub should have came with an additional IR blaster like with previous products.

Gift for you husband; he loved it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no idea exactly what it is and only generally understand what it does. However my husband has been talking about it for the past 6 months and has been wanting it just as long. It’s a present for him. He immediately opened it and set it up and tried to explain all the functions and everything to me, which went in one ear and out the other. I assume it is good because I have never had issues turning on the appliances it is hooked up to. He was overjoyed about it and talked about it incessantly to friends and family members trying to convince them to get their own. So I can only conclude that it must be a good product

Excellent product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this remote for my home theater system since all the components are in a closet in a different room . I have complete control of all 6 components plus a Mac Mini that runs PLEX. The only thing you can see in the living room is the tv. The remote app for iPhone and iPad works great with very little to no delay. The included remote is great for kids or any visitors who are not connected to your WiFi. Takes a while to get it all set up but is trouble free (wife approved) after that.

Inexpensive and easy to set up.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a Harmony 900 for over 8 years which gave out after being dropped too many times. To replace it, we bought a Harmony Elite which we returned because it did not function like the old Harmony 900 close enough. The Harmony Companion is easy to set up provided that the name and MODEL NUMBERS of all the devices that are to be controlled by this device are collected before setup is started. A setup program must be downloaded from Logitech to either a PC or a smart phone. In MY OPINION, the PC setup is easier. There are three main differences between the Elite and the Companion. The Elite has a rechargeable batteries, has a small color touch screen and the buttons are backlit. The Companion is powered by an easily replaceable "coin" battery that should last about a year, does not have a screen of any kind and has a physical numeric key pad on the unit instead of a touch screen keypad. Both the Elite and the Companion have a smart phone app which can function as an alternate remote.

Good but upgrade to the ultimate.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good remote control but I would spend a little bit more and buy the ultimate version as there is more functionality and you can include smart home controls. Also it is a little more ergonomic in your hand and easier to get support from logitech. I believe this item is is almost obsolete if it is not already
