I have owned a couple of Harmony remotes over the years and have always been pleased with them. Not so with this one. I purchased the Home Companion primarily for its ability to interface with smart home products, including Amazon Echo, and it performed admirably in this area. Unfortunately, it failed to measure up in its basic function of entertainment unit control. PROS: Home control functions worked fine and Echo Alexa loved it. Setup was as easy as most Harmony products. Large database of entertainment products. CONS: No back lighting on hand unit. The big one! Erratic and unpredictable control performance. Units (TV, Blu Ray, sound bar, etc.) might, or might not, turn on and when they did their function (correct input, etc.) might, or might not, be correct. After spending three frustrating days, I finally returned the product to Best Buy. I hope that most Harmony products function better than this, but it's unlikely that I will ever find out.

this was super easy to set up. all i did was enter the make and model of what i bought it for. i love that i don't have to point the remote to what i want to control, very cool. i also like that i can control it with my echo dot.

Bought it to minimize controllers and also enable Alexa voice commands. Works as intended most of the time

Still working in the full functionality. Haven't had much time to use it to its full potential.

this streamline controller of all those functions is just the gold standard. everything all in one is the only way to go in my book. it is my favorite thing and we chose them again and again.

Love this remote. Only negative is the buttons are not backlit, but otherwise a great product. Easy to integrate into any system using the App. Echo / Alexa integration was easy to set-up as well. Highly recommended!

Harmony Companion Remote and Smart Hub replace all our remotes. With the Harmony App, we can use our phones and ipads to control our electronics.

The remote has great intentions but is far to complicated. Because of this we returned it.

This system really works if you have an enclosed media cabinet. Only drawback is that it needs more customizable buttons

INSTALLED AND USING IT FOR MY ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. IT WOULD BE A GREAT PRODUCT IF 2 IR BLASTERS ARE PROVIDED INSTEAD OF JUST ONE

One button to turn on my devices without having to point it for 39 seconds. Well worth the cost. App interface is easy to set up your string of commands.

I've been a Logitech Harmony fan for several years. This just takes it to a whole new level. I can perform the same functions from my smart phone and control Philips Hue lights as well. This makes smart home automation easy.

I purchased two of these as the original remotes on both tvs' had failed and my firestick remotes were sketchy. I got them to work just fine, but have to power cycle them a couple of times a month. They seem to lose programming memory. A hard boot (power unplug) takes care of it usually.

Combined with phone app it is very useful. Hub + app can be configured to control about everything in the house.

The Harmony remote works fairly well with Alexa but more times then I like , it loses connect with some of your other devices.

I've been using Harmony remotes for over 10 yrs. they are without a doubt the best universal remotes available. I can control everything from my tv to my fan with one remote. Simply awesome!!!!

4th harmony device I've bought (this was a gift for my parents), and is just as great as the others.

Pros -Supports thousands of devices -you can use the app as a remote or pair it with a supported handheld remote. Cons -No homekit support -No Google Home support I uses IFTTT to integrate all of the devices.

Works with my tv, DVD player but not with PS4. It does work with alex which is cool!

This was very easy to setup and to integrate with the Amazon Echo Dot. I use it to switch between over the air TV, Stereo, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Apple TV and Chrome TV. The app on the Android phone works very well.
