I was looking for an all-in-one remote to work my tv, A/V receiver, Blu Ray player, and cable box (hopefully). The Harmony Smart Control surpassed that expectation by also handling my PS3 and Xbox One as well! It even works in a closed cabinet too! The remote is sturdy and comfortable and feels like a quality piece of equipment. Detail to follow, but in short, once you get this remote set up it should control all your devices with ease and all of the features you commonly use. Using the default settings for each device/Macro works well, but the real joy is in a custom setup. The only drawbacks are that it takes a time investment to program for full customization(but isn't required) and it occasionally drops the Wi-Fi requiring a quick reboot. Now the details: Setup is NOT a quick process if you want a complete custom experience. The defaults are serviceable, but there is so much more that can be done with some tinkering. The iOS app (and I assume Android is the same) is good for setup, but the process is MUCH easier through the Internet once you create your user account with the manufacturer. The remote allows up to 8 devices to be connected and multiple Macro functions (defaults Watch TV, Watch a Movie, Play a Game, but you can rename those and create your own new ones). Each button can be customized for 2 functions for each Macro using a short press or a long press. The Macros handle activating and deactivating devices and thus determine what function the buttons have and which devices are controlled at what times. For example: Watch TV would turn on the TV, the cable box, and set the TV to the correct input. The channel buttons would work the cable box, and the volume would work the TV. The DVR buttons would work your DVR (if you have one). The Menu button can be programmed to work the menu feature of the cable box with a short press, or the TV's menu feature by a long press of the same button. It is very intuitive once you take the time to customize it. Want to switch to a movie while watching TV? Hit the Watch a Movie button and the cable box will shut off, the Blu Ray player will turn on, the A/V Receiver will turn on, the TV will switch to the correct input, and the buttons assignments will change to the current function. All this by hitting ONE button. Now the volume buttons work the A/V receiver instead of the TV and the DVR controls are now the Blu Ray controls. Want to go back to TV? Hit the Watch TV button and everything not needed shuts off, the cable box comes back on, and the button functions adjust back. Once you get everything set up the way you want, you will be amazed at how efficiently this remote handles your setup. And it has a smartphone/tablet app that lets you control the devices as well, but I've found the remote by itself works just fine. That being said, my wife prefers the app and its visual interface. I cannot give high enough praise to this remote for how truly cool it is and what it can do.

This could work better with Alexa. Works good but to control other items with the infrared adapters is a hassle

This would be awesome if it worked correctly. It was turning on and off the wrong televisions

It doesn't work at all. I can't get any of my electronics to work on this.

the hub is great, however the remote is useless ended up just using my phone with the app

A little more difficult to setup than originally expected. The IR range isn't that great.

If this remote had an input button like the cheaper IR remotes, this would be a keeper.

I wanted a remote controller that was RF not IR. The remote that comes with the product is IR only.

This item could not send a signal between walls which is what we needed it to do

I bought this with the intent of controlling my AV system including my cable box which the BB employee told me it would work with. After repeated tries at programming it I gave up, returned it to the store and purchased the Alexa Fire TV Magicbox which I am totally happy with.

Bought this so I could control my TV and devices through Alexa. After a week of working with Logitech support, the only thing they could get it to do was power on/off, volume and channel. Definitely not worth the price. I guess it doesn’t really work with a Samsung TV with SmartHub.

The remote worked great but, when it come to programing a task, such as, turn on TV, turn on sound system, turn on BluRay... forget it!!! no support is offered other than a basic "the information is in here someplace....it's up to you to find it". No phone help is provided. I took it back the next day

good device but must have wifi to use properly on your phone.

I wish they would tell you in big black letters... I had to return the product.
