Works Great once programmed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend this remote to anyone with moderate to good computer skills. Otherwise, it has the potential of being a little frustrating. Especially if You are running a MAC or Apple platform. You will need some patience and know how to get everything downloaded and set up to program. Once You get the set up program started, it's a snap! And it works beautifully both on the remote and my Iphone/Ipad. LOVE IT!!!!!

Worked OK... for a while
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This worked OK for a few months. I really loved how easy it was to switch to TV or music without having to use all 3 remotes (TV, AppleTV, speakers). Even though the iOS app to set it all up is a confusing and laborious nightmare. And even though it would get out of sync every time the TV timed out and turned itself off (I had to set up a special key on the remote just to turn the TV back on because the Harmony Hub won't do it if it remembers turning the TV on a few hours ago). But then the iOS app made me update the hub software. And nothing worked ever again (except the Off button on the remote). It's really sad when an otherwise great product is ruined by bad software. Save yourself the heartache and get used to covering your coffee table with remotes.

I like the smart control aspect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had many universal remotes over the years. This one is by far my favorite. It is simple but very functional. Even for its small size, it can do so many things with its programmable buttons. And the best part is that you can use your smart phone as well. I highly recommend Logitech Harmony Smart Control with app. My home theater system has never worked (together) better.

Best universal remote system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about this remote, but took a chance and price matched from Amazon. This is the best $110 I have spent. Setup was simple. The hardest part was pairing the remote with my PS3, but online instructions at the Logitech website even made that easy. Up to this point I had to assist my wife every time she wanted to watch TV or a movie. Now one button does it all.

Only option besides AppleTV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of Roku! My living room has both Roku and AppleTV connected...when I went to Best Buy to make a decision on what to add to my bedroom, I chose Roku over AppleTV. Slightly better price-point and offers some great things that AppleTV didn't have (like Angry Birds and the app I use for local tv in NYC called "Aereo"). I use it primarily for tv, Hulu+ and Netflix...plus Angry Birds ;c)

Amazing remote at a great price...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really do not understand a lot if the negative reviews on this product. Other then an occasional reboot, this remote and app are amazing. Controls everything with the push of a button and Controls PS3 with ease. If you are looking for something that doesn't have an acclimation period, this isn't for you. It does take some time to get used to everything, once you do, you won't regret it!

Great flexible remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice remote and works better than the previous version, the Harmony Link. The software is improved for phone and tablet devices. The best improvement is the addition of a remote control. The remote does all of the needed features you want without needing phone or tablet. It direct connects, so it will work even if other wi-fi devices can't connect to the Hub.

Frustrating Install, Great Final Results
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received it on Friday. I got it to work Monday evening. Phone support was only slightly helpful. Lucky for me, it rained all weekend and I was sick anyway. Many hours wasted. No printed instructions to speak of, and some of the questions asked in the prompts could have been better phrased. It was within a hair's breadth of going back. Finally, I deleted everything and started over on the desktop. A lot of re-synching and running back and forth, but it finally worked. I don't recommend the phone app. I couldn't be happier now. It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do, and in one case better than the original remote. Four remotes eliminated. I hope I never have to change anything else, but I think I may understand it better now.

GOOD SMART CONTROL ONIT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well with my two TVs and my android and apple phones. It is very simple to use once the set up is complete. It took me a while to set the unit up though. I have been using this smart harmony unit since 11/03/14 with no issues.

Excellent product!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to control my components which are located in the basement. Other than having to splice the IR blaster cable to reach upstairs to the TV this product is excellent. The setup is easy and works flawlessly with my iPhone and iPad. No visible lag when pressing buttons in the app. I highly recommend this product.

Good Universal Remote For The Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Harmony One remote before I purchased this unit and I had no problems with it. I simply wanted to switch to this unit so I could utilize an iPad or iPhone for my remote and have a bigger remote screen. This unit does not come with an actual software disc like the Harmony One does, but is configured using a web-utility. It was easy to configure and I had it set up just like my Harmony One within about 10-15 minutes. It has a much quicker response time for every input over the Harmony One and I am extremely impressed with that. Solid product overall.

Slow, unreliable, difficult setting up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for this device when I bought it. I was thrilled with the idea of using one remote instead of four. So disappointed. One of the selling points was the ability to control the hub from my iPad2. Since the iPad2 does not support BluetoothLE, I could not do the initial setup from my iPad, so I connected the hub to my computer using the included USB cable. My OS of choice is Linux running FireFox, which is not supported by the hub. Myharmony.com prefers you to download and install the desktop app. Multiple attempts to download the desktop app failed on install through WindowsXP. I had to settle for the FireFox in-browser app, which required installation of two plugins. Getting help online requires an account not associated with myHarmony. From there, setup was fairly straight forward. Adding devices went smoothly, finding my smartTV, Receiver, and the PS3 no problem. Then I began to add Activities. The hub would turn everything on alright, but that's it. It took finagling and tweaking to get each Activity to work ... decently. Even then, it wasn't reliable. I even had to relearn a few buttons to get the Activities to work better. Switching Activities required turning off all the devices and then selecting the new Activity. You can individually select a different device, but those buttons are locked in place and give the sense of being scattered. Connection to the hub from the iOS app was slow and unreliable. The hub connects to a Wi-Fi router which is how the app connects to it. I often got the impression that the app connects to the hub, the hub then connects to a website, the website responds to the hub, and finally the hub uploads the Activities screen to the iOS app. And it does this for every...action...you...do! Somehow you are able to create a sequence, aka macros, and assign it to a new button. The iOS app does not support the making of the sequences. The web browser app does not support it. And the desktop app never worked. The interface is clunky and limited. You can do some customization, but only in certain screens. Overall, I did not like the experience and using four remotes is a better option than this one.

Best Harmony Remote so far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned many Logitech Harmony remotes, my last being a Harmony One. Loved my old 880 and still use in the bedroom. Along with my old 1100 in my sons bedroom. This new remote can be programed via the APP you download on your iOS device. It was simple and vey easy to configure! The app portion of it has a very nice interface and even thinking of having an old iPad mini as a stand alone remote. But we find out selves using the included RF remote more! because it feels great in your hand. The grip that surrounds the back makes it very conformable and less prone to slipping off your hands. Plus its very responsive, I was able to map all the commands for my custom build XMBC desktop PC, XBOX One, Denon AVR, FIOS Box, and our Sharp 70". So easy even my 6 year old can easily control the entire system! The best part is you only need to add the Hubs to expand the system in the house.

Nice Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd Harmony remote. It's a nice upgrade over the last 2. I can finally control my PS3, the iPhone App is very nice, and the small remote is perfect for my technologically challenged family. However, I would like a few more features on the remote. I might still go out and purchase the remote with the touch screen. Also, the technology is still not perfect. Example- Harmony remotes still can't seem to properly switch the input on my receiver when it first powers up. With that being said. It's still a great technology and it will always be better than keeping 4 or more remotes on my coffee table.

Exactly what I was looking for
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product works very well. It was relatively easy to set up, but a bit of tech know how was helpful. It works as promised and the remote, albeit very simple, has great range.

Pleasantly Surprised!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After just three years my Harmony 1100 shot craps. I started looking and was surprised to see so few of these types of remotes available at least that weren't in the same or higher price neighborhood as the 1100. I saw the Smart Control and was a bit skeptical about how well it would work and if I would like not having a touchscreen. Once you get past the setup which isn't intuitive, I'm shocked at how well it performs. It doesn't matter if I'm using my iPhone 5 or the included remote, the system is responsive with no lag like I encountered with the 1100. Now the only question is about longevity. One nice thing to point out is that all the settings from by 1100 were imported so I did not have to setup all the equipment or activities. Everything functioned just as it had in the past.
