Easy to set up and worth the money not having to worry about pointing your old remote at the components you want to work. This Smart remote uses IR technology and it works great.

If you are like most TV & audio aficionados you have multiple smart devices all connected to your TV. Most TV's these days require an amplifier/audio receiver to power their surround sound speakers to truly enjoy their TV watching experience. Most of these receivers now come with Wi-Fi capability and provide a hub for the rest of the devices (like a cable box, blue ray player, etc). The Harmony remote allows all your devices to be controlled with one remote. Just push the touch display enabling you to go from say cable TV to Smart TV apps like Netflix, Hulu with the push of a button. Then go from Netflix to Pandora radio with a push of the button - the Harmony remote does all the switching at the amplifier for you. Typically these operations would require the use of two or three remotes every time you make a switch. Even turning all the devices on and off with the Harmony remote is, again, just the push of one button instead of a multiple remote juggling act. The Harmony remote has made my life a whole lot easier as all the questions (and texts and calls) from my family members on how to use the new TV have all stopped - hallelujah - I highly recommend this remote for multiple smart devices connected to a smart AV/Receiver and TV. Its worth the price plus it come with a sleek charging stand (no double AAs required here) and a very user friendly phone app that turns your IPhone (or droid) into a remote for your devices as well!

This is a great remote if you have a complicated home theater setup. It has a great small remote for everyday use and an IPad/Iphone app with alot of functionality. You can control your equipment through walls or cabinets, no line of site necessary. The setup for your existing equipment is great but they could do a little better job on understanding the synchronization process between the remote and the iphone app. Really great for the price.

bought this to tie TV into Alexa and have one remote for three devices. Works great after downloading the Harmony app and installing Alexa found it quickly and set up was very easy. Watch the placement of the hub, or plan on using the IR blaster. Very happy

Not for the beginner. I got this for my mother and Step Father thinking they lose the remote all the time. Well it turns out they don't charge their Cell phones ether. No i have one at my house as well and works well with my Tivo. I wish it worked with my Playstations 3 and 4. Takes a little bit of time to understand how the setup is. You will need to know all of the makes and models of your A/V equipment but once its done its done.

I have 2 of these for 2 different rooms in my house. One controls 6 devices and one controls 5. They were easy to program and once programmed, are very user friendly. My 90 yr old father in law uses the included remote without any trouble. And the hubs run seamlessly with an iPhone or any iPad (so you don't even need the included remote if you don't want to use it).

Imported setup from an existing 650 remote. Really like the level of customization. You can even alter power-on and inter-activity delays. This also gives you better management of the cable box than the remote that came with the TV. Pretty inexpensive solution for the failings of the stock remote. Programming takes a bit of time to tinker with.

This remote is everything that the word awesome can possibly discribe. Very easy to set up and use. The features are easily understandable and the ease of use is uncomparable.

Good remote. No issues. All devices work. Sound bar, tv, old vcr, bluray player and nintendo wii. Even worked out a startup "macro" that with one oush of button brings up my smart internet connected bluray player to play Pandora music. Absolutely love this remote and highly recommend. Just knoe thst you should either have all devices in same cabinet or place to plug in and set the IR blaster with line of site to sll of your components.

This is an excellent remote control although there are a few features on the dial that I might change.

I had such high hopes for this device, really is nothing else like it on the market. When it connects and works its great. Have problems with alexa all the time losing connection. The remote doesnt always work either constantly find my self using regular remotes cause this one goes to sleep and wont wake up and reconnect.

We have been able to get rid of 6 other remotes that were a constant nuisance since purchasing the Harmony remote. Great product, good suggestion by the Best Buy sales rep.

It did take time to set up, but working fine now. Enjoying the convince of the hub.

This is now the fourth Harmony Remote I bought. Over the years it was always a major challenge to integrate all my remote controls. I have several devices (Plasma TV, Home Theatre AV, Blue/Ray, Cablebox & Sat Tuner, Apple TV etc.) which is a lot of RC's on the table. I used a Harmony One but I ended up preferring the Harmony 600 because of the color buttons which I use often. As I also use iPhone/iPad to control some of the devices I decided to go for the Harmony Smart. And I do not regret it. It is an even better solution. The biggest advantage: You get a decent looking and simple to navigate RC that even works across rooms and in cupboards. In addition you could use your iPhone/iPad to do more complicated stuff or program it (!) As we are a family of three this helps a lot not messing things up. This is up to now the best integrated remote I have owned. The only shortcomings are software related and I am sure they will improve over time (in fact it already improved with the new firmware). This new and more flexible concept is great.

Primarily paired with Alexa. When it works it has been fantastic, but it doesn't always work. Has been having weird ghost presses, double presses, and missed presses on remote with cable box (might be cable box issue). Beware, Alexa can only pair with 1 Harmony Hub without workarounds. Still worth it for when it works!

Pros: Can control several devices for TV and Audio. Use this remote with hub to control TV, but also HUB to turn on my TV and INPUT to right input to show my camera's system through out the house when my SMARTTHING motion detects movement in area's I describe. THE HUB DOES A LOT OF WORK. Most of the programing for the remote Audio/Video is done via online... Easy. Automation is advance, but not hard if you are patient Cons: No back lighting of keys to see in the dark. No help button for quest to utilize when they get lost what to do. OTHER THAN THAT LOVE!!!!

Put this in top control everything in the man cave. Set up was easy and it worked with everything. It is great to be able to control with smartphone or the included remote.

I needed a universal remote capable of Bluetooth for my amazon firestick, this was the most cost effective option. I don't have a ton of devices, but at least 2 use Bluetooth, the firestick and PS4. While you can't power on the PS4 with any controller besides a dual shock you can still navigate with this controller. It does everything I need it do. There is no input or selection buttons but rather command buttons. They execute whatever series of power on and input selection needed for that action..this took a bit to get used to. You can always just use your phone too as it connects to the hub. Using your phone gives you more options with each device (options and buttons that are on the device's standard remote). The biggest Con in my opinion and why I only gave 4/5 stars is there is a delay every now and then from pushing the button on the remote to the action actually being completed.
