This remote is amazing. Synced all my devices to it and eliminated 5 remotes! Easy to use!

I was tired of having to use 4 remotes for my entertainment system (one for the TV, one for the receiver, another for the ps3, and a forth for the Apple TV). This remote definitely solved the problem. I don't ever use the smart phone part of it, but I tested it out and it works great. It's also nice to know I have that option if I need it. I also like not having to worry about pointing it directly at the devices I want to use. I can be under a blanket with the remote pointing straight down and it still work. It is also Bluetooth enabled, so it can control my ps3 and the wii when I want to use Netflix or watch a blu-ray. The only thing that I don't quite like is the felt back of the remote. It's there to keep it from sliding off things, but it just feels kind of weird to me. Aside from that, it's a great remote and I highly recommend it!

This product is actually really useful for someone who is looking to program one device to control your complete media room. Was happily surprised to see it worked with equipment from my television provider and my WD TV Live box. Was disappointed with the pad/phone app though. Not very easy to use at present. They need to improve the design of the app in my opinion. The remote that comes with it works well if you want to custom program using the online link. Its a very affordable solution but may give you some small headaches at the beginning until its set how you like it.

This is a really cool product. It allows my smart phones to be used as remotes, much better than remote Apps. Set up was surprisingly easy, and not having to point the remote directly at the TV is great.

So I actually purchased two of these (at different times) and actually returned the first one. After not finding a good alternative for the price I purchased it again. This time i spent more time with it. Initially, it takes some tine getting used to but after keeping it for a few days it feels very natural and useful. It is hard to set up through the app in some aspects but being persistent and getting through the process is worth it in the end. Once you set it up you really don’t have to use the app again unless you want to control stuff with your phone. I’m good with just using the remote. Apple TV 4K wouldn’t work with it (through the app setup...it does work with IR though) but I moved my other Apple TV in the living room and it worked well with the app. Alexa works well with it also and helps me now turn my Samsung TV, dish, and Apple TV on and off with voice.

I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on remotes during the past few years, always looking for the one that would do everything and do so correctly. I was so tired of having one device turn on and the other not, or having it go to the wrong input and throwing everything off so that I'd have to make the changes manually. Having purchased this Harmony Smart Control, my search for the perfect remote control has ended. I can literally go outside and change channels to the indoor TV, or use my smart phone from any room in the house to control the TV/Home Theater. The HUB makes all this possible, and it works with my older Harmony remote, as well - synching the remotes so if I turn the TV on with one remote or smart phone, the other remotes/smart phones knows it is on and works accordingly.

It does the job...but a few negatives: 1. It's not worth the $. WHY NOT?? Read on: 2. It doesn't illuminate. 3. It's "feature limited", and you must therefore use the Logitech app, on your smartphone, to enjoy all the features, such as some of the connected accessory features that are available via "Logitech", but NOT via this remote. All in all, if you have a minimal number of accessories, and just want a very basic universal remote, this is, admittedly, a good product, for such, but for the price...it may be worth just getting a sectioned box, that suffices as an "organizer for your multiple remotes", and save yourself some $$$. OR; go the other way, and spend even MORE $$$, to get one of Logitech's higher-end remotes. Don't get me wrong; Logitech remotes are GREAT! (especially their higher-end one's), but they are soooo expensive!

The product required updating out of the box but once that was done, set-up was very simple. It now controls our entertainment system and allows Alexa to do so with voice commands.

This is the second Harmony that I've bought - so that says something. The hub is the key here - it makes the remote non-line of sight (necessary on other unifying remotes that use RF) and it integrates with Alexa. The set up has gotten easier. Once you know what components you have, Harmony's database of stuff usually makes set up a snap. But when something goes wrong, like a component won't switch inputs because it's still turning on when Harmony wants to send that command, it can be difficult to fix. And I've spent hours trying to get the hub to connect - it just takes persistence. But once set up and working, the system is great!

Definitely love the RF & bluetooth control - PS3 and Wii no longer need a controller to turn devices on / off with! Only gets 4 stars because the software is still a bit lacking in some regards, but overall this has been an excellent upgrade from my harmony one. Especially since any device can control it!

You have a choice with this setup to either use the included programmable remote, or use your smartphone as the remote. This is a great solution for your entertainment system that has multiple components.

The hub is pretty simple to setup with SmartThings. The remote is a bit tedious to setup in my opinion. There is not always an option for the button you need to use in each different "Mode". One issue with Harmony's compatibility with Google Home is when I asked Google Home to initiate a sequence (Turn on TV, soundbar, and Chromecast then play Family Guy, which Harmony completed), I could not use the handheld remote for that sequence because it wasn't one of the modes I setup in the Harmony hub. Overall, it is a good product and after learning how to sync it up to all of my smart devices and program it, I'm going to keep it.

A little timely set up but explains well. The concept is great but using the remote takes a bit getting use it, it's a little sluggish and switching from one function to another locks up sometimes. I do live the concept and when the folks come over I don't have to explain every day what remote goes with what.

I own an iPad, iPod and the iPhone and the Logitech Harmony is compatible with all my devices. It is mostly used with my TV as a remote but has multifunctions to control up to 8 components. It was easy to set up and use. I no longer have to juggle between three different remotes to watch dvds.
