I had previous product, but this one has much greater capacity. It also allows for some macros (delays/pre & post functions) such as opening a BluRay Player tray to insert or remove a disc. I was hoping to control my lights (networked) but the device accepts only Bluetooth or RF signals which it converts to IR & cannot repeat the RF commands specific to my lighting system. All in all a very useful device capable of being controlled by its Remote and/or either an iDevice (iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch) or Android tablet/phone with free app. I love the ability to select a TV Favorites List and be able to control my Tivo and Channels w/o using a Guide.

I really like this remote -- I actually replaced both my harmony one and my harmony touch remotes with this. I hated the touch remote!! The touch screen looked nice but was terrible to actually use - scrolling through pages looking for a button ?? trying to hit the channel up button on a touch screen -- terrible . This is great-- easy to use -- simple remote and then if I need to can use my iphone for more complicated tasks -- aslo iphone app connects to my harmony for easy programing !!! Best harmony I have owned by far !!! -- O

small, handheld and very easy. The only thing I wasn't able to control 100%?was a VHS/DVD combo, but how many of us still have those around? 6 activities at a press or press and hold of the top three buttons. Can't get much easier.

I bought this as a replacement for another harmony remote. I like the fact that the base that goes near the components has the IR emitter. The remote is RF so it doesn't matter where it's pointed. Now my kids turn off all components every single time. I'm a little curious about the included remote. it doesn't seem to contain replaceable batteries - or at least not that I've found. Maybe I'm just overlooking something. For the limited controls that our AV setup requires, the included remote works fine. I don't think it would for a more complicated setup. Remote only supports three programmable actions (Watch TV, Listen to Music, etc.).

I previous had one remote for my 40" Insignia TV, one for my Sony power bar, and one for my Playstation 3. This one replaced those and allows me to turn everything I need on or off with a single button. I have one set for broadcast TV (we cut the cable) and sound bar. One set for Playstation 3 (for Netflix, Amazon Prime) and sound bar. And one set for hooking my MacBook Pro up directly via an HDMI cable (for watch TV via the Web) and the TV volume. It controls all the essential Playstation 3 functions to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime but there are no Playstation triangle, circle, square, or X buttons. The Guide button on the remote duplicates the "Playstation" button function. So for watching Netflix or Amazon it works just fine. Setting it up is a bit of a pain and the software is clunky and not intuitive. But be patient, it is worth the effort. One issue I had to figure out was the delay time setting for the TV was too short. I had to set it to 15 seconds. This gave the TV time to turn on before the remote sent it output changes. At the default setting the remote sent output (HDMI or TV) change settings to the TV before the TV was ready to accept them, so it wasn't changing outputs. This was very frustrating until I figured it out. But once I gave the TV time to turn on before the output senttings were sent everything worked perfectly. There is software to allow you to use your smartphone or tablet as a remote. But it is not exactly convenient. You have to turn on your phone, launch the Harmony app, pick a function, and then do what you want to do. Way too time consuming compared to just pushing a button on the Harmony remote. I never use the software on my phone as a remote. Just for setting things up. It really is a nice convenience to push one button and have everything turn on or off or reconfigure. The placement of some of the buttons on the remote are not where I would have put them but it is nice and light, has a good grippy texture and it works great for my setup.

I really enjoy this remote, setup was easier than I expected. The home hub handles all my stuff that is inside my entertainmant unit. I use it to contol my TV, CATV box, Apple TV. Panasonic Blu-ray player and Vizio Soundbar. I hesitated in buying this remote because some of these seem so darn complicated to use, but after doing setup in my phone (30 mins or so) it has been a pleasure to use. My wife and kids prefer using it also.The only tricky part was finding the proper spot to place the ir blaster so my soundbar would work, but that is not Harmony's fault it was more my insistence on hiding every inch of wire that I could!

Great really works well. My 1 year old hides the remote so this comes in handy

I've bought two of these now, one for my home and one for my in-laws. It works perfectly for our setups. I have a home theater setup with a receiver, two consoles, a blu-ray player, a TiVo, and an Apple TV. This remote lets me control all of that, 95% of the time. I keep my old remotes around if I want to adjust particular settings. The Harmony smartphone app technically lets you access any advanced features of your devices, but it's kind of clunky. But for day to day regular use, you can't beat this remote. Plus, it's not infrared, meaning you don't have to point it at your equipment. This is so convenient that I find myself laughing at my family members when we visit other people's homes or stay at hotels, because they forget to point those remotes.

Normally, universal remotes are hit in miss in my opinion; however, this one hit all my devices that were new and old. The programing of events, that turns on multiple devices and changed their inputs makes this product amazing!

This is great for the household of people who all want the remote control. I now can do everything to my tv on my phone. From controlling my dvr, To going to Netflix from my DVD player, to just listening to my Bose stereo system. This little unit can do it all

For the price of this remote it is very solid. Easy to set up and use. The ONLY problem I have with it is that the base cannot find my Roku when it is hardwired into the network, only when on wireless. While this may be an issue with my router, I have static IP addresses assigned and it would be nice if there was an ability to manually set IP addresses for devices controlled through WiFi. This is my second one, so obviously I think it is a great product. It got rid of my wife having to use multiple remotes, which made her happy... which made me happy.

I bought this item mainly for the hub. I can now control my entire entertainment system via Alexa. The remote is pretty handy as well. Check out yanomi for Alexa integration. The setup can be a little tedious but it is well worth the effort.

This has been my favorite remote of all time easy to set up and works with all brands of home theater gear and the iphone app works well and makes your phone into a full feature remote and works almost every function with direct tv setup took less than a half hour
