This product easily recognized the devices I wanted to use with it and automatically added them to the device list. Setting up activities was also easy, but it does not always switch between activities correctly. Depending on your particular device setup, you may have to tinker with the settings to get the inputs to switch properly. Overall this product has allowed me to set aside 4 remotes. I do not even use the remote that comes with the hub. The hub now supports Amazon Alexa, so I either use voice commands or the app on my android phone to control activity.

This is wonderful remote easy to set up and use feels great in your hand. The only issue I have is there is no backlight.

    Fantastic Remote

This is one sweet remote system. It allows you to use your smart phone or tablet as a remote in addition to the included mini remote. Since the mini remote uses rf and the IOS and Android devices use WiFi, you dont even have to point the remote at the hub. At first I thought the number buttons on the mini remote were too small, but as soon as I got out of the habit of pointing the remote at the TV and started holding it upright I realized the size was not a problem. The only gripe I can come up with is that if you select "Watch TV" with the mini remote and then decide you want to use the iPad to select a favorite channel, the iPad app doesn't know the tv is already on. You have to press "Watch TV" on the iPad to get to the correct screen. It's only a minor gripe since it just means one more button press, but it would be nice if the app could automatically synch with the current activity status. I highly recommend this remote!

Logitech - Harmony Smart Control Black

Logitech - Harmony Smart Control - Black great combo price for hub & remote. not backlight the remote, however it has 3 buttons on top that will remember 6 activities total by holding each button down for about 3 seconds. If you want a touchscreen to touch to switch activities not for you. However, if you want to control your tv (i do not have smart tv) - this is the product. Once i set up the hub & used my computer (you can use your phone) to set up the devices I have & activities I wanted, & then I added the skills to alexa, this works great - can memorize up to 50 channels to voice activate & lets you change the name for some channels that alexa does not recognize. Great to say Alexa turn on TV or Alexa turn off TV or Alexa turn on HBO or turn on 8.

Bought this on sale and very happy with it. I put the hub near TV and AV receiver and the blaster extension in the cabinet with my XBox one. Did a little online search and hooked up Amazon Echo dot. Now I can voice control my TV.

This remote was very easy to set up. It controls all my devices, which are located in a closet. You can program this remote to turn on/off multiple devices, i.e. one click turns on my TV, switches it to the correct "source", turns on my cable box, turns on my receiver and selects the correct output setting on my receiver to watch TV. I was able to set up multiple "one click" function buttons, not only to watch TV, but to watch a DVD, VCR, listen to music through my iPod/iPhone, play the PlayStation or to use my Chromecast. I originally bought it so I could control everything through my iPhone using the app. The app works well, but find myself using the remote more often than I thought I would. I've had more expensive Harmony remotes in the past, this works just as well and for a lot less money.

    Ok for remote

This product is pretty old school, good as a universal remote, poor as an interface to google home. To get it to work with voice & google takes "ok google ask harmony to......." Too many words in my world. You can modify the instruction to ok google... but you must be specific about the wording of the instruction (so you have to remember what that was). Also it won't give you all of the choices for channels - like 13.1,13.2,13.3 etc.. So if that works for you it will turn things on and off, change inputs and channels. Volume is always an issue with google. The assistant only knows how to adjust its own volume, so volume range is limited.

I bought this to consolidate remotes and to be able to work my TV via the google homes in my house. Setup was a bit cumbersome but once it was all set up and synced with logitech and google it works great. The IR extender was also really useful as my projector is in another room from my AV equipment and it does not use CEC. The remote is intuitive and everything on it is programmable.

Love the idea, but i'm the type of guy that prefer having a solid remote to hold. I got this as a gift and played around with the settings. The iphone app is not that easy to pick up right off the bat, and the included remote is a "basic set". Hope this helps

    Very Good After Confusing Setup

I purchased this to replace a Harmony 650 that was malfunctioning after many years of service. A big selling point was that this device works with Amazon Alexa so I could use it to control my TV using voice commands. The setup was more difficult than the 650 and both printed and online documentation were somewhat lacking. However, I contacted Logitech Customer Support and they were able to help me get it fully functioning. Difficult setup may be a turnoff for some buyers but I’m loving my Harmony Smart Control!

Nice remote for the sale price ($69.95). Like: No need to point remote at anything--IR blasters are powerful enough to reflect off ceiling and walls. Buttons should not wear out on the tablet/phone app as physical remote buttons eventually do. Program transferred easily from my existing Logitech My Harmony software. Dislike: TV sub-channel button on the app number pad is grayed out and unusable. This makes no sense to me because that sub-channel button does work on my Harmony 700 remote and also the mechanical remote that comes with this Harmony Smart Control so I know it is programmed, just not usable in the app. Tech Support is reportedly seeking a solution for which I am still waiting....

This remote is GREAT! I'm not sure why I didn't buy this earlier. Easy to set up and with Alexa intergration, now I can control my TV with my voice. A nice little addition for a home automation for the entertainment center.

This device allows you to automate all of your home entertainment devices. Logitech is constantly updating the super devices and it ties in wonderfully with Alexa or Google Home. Incredibly powerful and easy to use.

Very happy with the hub. I do not find that it is worth the extreme cost difference between models. all hubs are the same except the ultimate i believe it called, it can hold 15 devices. Allows you to integrate your entertainment set up into you smartthing system. away and sleep routines now ensure the tv and everything is off when not in use. added benefit of being able to turn on or off certain lights when engaging in various media activities. The only negative i have seen so far is multiple hubs are not fully supported with alexa hoping this gets resolved eventually. IT works but one hub will be convenient ( "Alexa turn on/off Activity", "Alexa Mute") the second hub will be more robotic ( "Alexa tell/ask Harmony to turn on/off Activity")

Devices - Sony Bravia TV - Marantz NR1601 Receiver - Roku 3 - Boxee Box with IR Receiver from Twisted Lemon - PS3 Was finally able to ditch all the remotes for one that my wife likes and can actually use without asking me how to use it. Slim profile and textured backing is nice as well. If I had more of my home automated, I may look into getting the Harmony Ultimate Home.
