Pros and cons
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Clanky setup but once it's set up, it just works. I love having only one remote for my TV and stream devices. I would buy more if it were cheaper, price point is a little high. Range is great, can control TV when not in direct line of sight.

Best remote I’ve ever had !!!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a new remote this is the one for you. And best of all Harmony can be linked with Google assistant. I can say “ Hey Google turn the TV on and it will turn the TV on, the Yamaha receiver and set it to the right input. Really cool. When I’m done just say “ Hey Google turn the TV off “

Great for getting rid of all your remotes at once.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.During set up, I almost returned this remote. Once tech support helped me find the problem, it was simple and very easy. The physical remote that comes with the hub is super simple but has all the functionality of the larger more expensive remotes from the same maker. I went from the harmony 1100 to this and don't regret it the slightest.

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hub is really useful. I use it for turning on my smart tv, turning off my lights, and controlling my speakers. My only problem is that every time I use it, I have to re connect to it with my phone because it gets disconnected from my internet.

Control equipment in basement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is great to control the A/V stuff in basement. I have used Harmony 650 before, but this is much better. Allows you to use the app the control.

Primary Goal Achieved - Amazon & Sonos - ???
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Smart Control does a great job in reducing all of the remotes from my system down to two...the Smart Control and the remote to my Apple TV. Smart Control controls TV, FIOS box, HDMI switch and Apple TV. Still need Apple TV remote to switch between programs and play/pause once Smart Control switches from TV to Apple TV. Logitech does a fabulous job in the automatic recongnition of virtually any device ever made by having them in their vast database. Device setup and operation is pretty smooth. With that said, I am very dissatisified with this product's lack of seamless integration with the Amazon Dot. I'm constantly having to delete the Harmony skill from the Amazon configuration and then set it back up again. And even after it's set up again, operation is buggy at best only to have to delete the skill and set it back up again. Additionally, volume and play/pause (amongst other features) is not integrated with the Dot. Logitech publicly acknowledges this. Seems as though Logitech hasn't worked out all of the kinks yet and states that it works with Amazon's Echo and Dot well before the Harmony skill for Amazon's Echo/Dot was ready. Also no integration with Sonos components when trying to turn certain components on and off. I have a 5.1 channel setup with Playbar, Subwoofer and two Play 1s. Also have two Play 3s in another room and Smart Control is useless in turnng the Sonos components on and off even though Logitech indicates in its configuration that it is capable of working with Sonos. It's not. Although my main goal was to reduce the number of remotes, I also purchased this due to Logitechs's claim that it worked well with the Amazon Echo and Dot. If all you're looking to do is reduce the number of remotes, you'll be pleased. If, however, you're also looking for smooth integration with Amazon's Echo or Dot, you'll become quite frustrated and develop a love/hate relationship with the Smart Control/Harmony hub.

Great remote. Programmable.

Perfect Remote for the Connected Technophile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a lot of A/V gear. So much that i'm surprised my fiancé puts up with it all. While I know how every single component is setup and what remote goes to what, anyone who comes to my house is confused by how to simply turn on the TV or watch a movie. Enter Harmony. The Harmony remote consolidated my 6 remotes into one, in addition to controlling home automation components (lights, plugs, etc). It does take some time to set up all the remotes, the activities, etc in place, but once it does... it will make your life easier, guaranteed. I can control my entire entertainment center (TV, BluRay, Receiver, etc), my ecobee3 thermostat, my Philips Hue lights, and so much more with this one device. I also have it connected to Alexa, so I can control all of those devices with a few words. How cool is that!? It's like having Jarvis in my house! Sometimes something blocks the IR blaster or receiver, and the systems go out of sync where some devices turn on, but other stay off, and can be a pain to set it straight. Fortunately this occurs infrequently, and the overall pros heavily outweigh the con of having to turn everything off then on again. After having it for over a year now, I don't know what I'd do without it. Very cool piece of technology that works great, and is constantly getting more features added to it. Highly recommended!

Best remote I've ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote is perfect for those who have numerous A/V components and want to simplify your life. First, it controls all of your devices intuitively. You don't have to tell it which device to control...once it's set up, it just knows. Second, it works over your wifi, which means you can use it from anywhere in the house. No need to point the remote at any component ever again. Perfect remote for a great price!

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried a number of "all in one" remotes as I have a family that can't figure out how to turn on the TV, PVR, U-verse, Blue Ray, etc. However with the Harmony Smart they can use their I-phone, I-pad and the included remote to start everything with just one push of a button. I plan on getting another one for our basement media room.

Works great with echo.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The moments I said "Alexa, turn on Xbox," and "Alexa, turn off entertainment center" I was hooked! Some limitations though when working with other harmony remotes. I already have a suped up harmony remote so I was hoping I could use the included free remote with a different system but I think it only works to control this hub. Also, if I turn on my Xbox system with my hub, my suped up harmony remote isn't aware I'm in the Xbox activity because it isn't the one I used to turn the system on so I have to specifically go to the device I want to use on that remote. A little inconvenient! Just like I had to do with my suped up remote I had to specialize the shut off of my projector by adding several repeated off commands with delays. But the fact that I can turn my system on and off and can teach guests to do the same easily makes this a great purchase!

Great remote!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an older Harmony that needed replacing and for $60 I couldn't pass this up and I'm glad I didn't! Was pretty easy to set up, not sure what others were having issues with. I mostly use the actual remote but need the app to troubleshoot if something goes wrong but that's not often. I still point it at the tv but you don't have to lol. Habit. Anyway, it's great. Get it.

Somewhat finicky, but great when it works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The things I really like about this remote: - Can control television, blu-ray, netflix, etc. using Alexa - Using phone as a remote helps since we tend to lose remotes around here - IR blaster helps me keep all the components hidden. Things I don't like: - Set up was a lot more tedious than it should have been. This could be due to user error/ADHD. I'm no tech guru, but I'm not a noob either. But I didn't find the setup instructions (only on the app itself) to be very intuitive. Example: turning on Netflix (Blu-Ray, Vudu, etc.) would turn OFF the television. I finally figured out how to add some steps to resolve this, but only after some 12 letter words. - Sometimes the "turn everything off" button/command leaves my television on. Overall I'm pleased, now that I've got it working. Hence the 4 stars.

Perfect for simple AV Setup's!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn't recommend using ONLY this for your main control unless all you have is a basic system. i.e a cable/satellite box and a TV, maybe a media player like an AppleTV... If you have a full system including gaming systems, BluRay players, media Players, AV receivers, etc.. I'd go with the Elite model with the built-in touchscreen, else you'll find yourself pulling out your smartphone and using the sync'd Harmony App quite often. Yea, this is no big deal, the app is great... but get real people, it is NOT convenient using your smartphone as a full time remote. Don't fool yourself - the majority of us like to feel actual hard buttons and don't want to look down on our smartphones every time we want to push a "button."

Great Integration with SmartThings & Amazon Echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had held off buying one of these, but when I noticed BB had it on sale I decided to go ahead and get one. It does take a little tech knowledge to get it all customized to your system, but nothing too difficult. Setting it up for the ROKU Ultra was a snap. I have it automated with SmartThings and Amazon Echo. It's great telling Alexia to "turn on the TV", etc.
