Great remote; decent price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Logitech Remote. The first one was over 10 years old. This one was very easy to set up and it works great. It handles six different scenarios which is plenty for me. The hub came with only one IR-Mini blaster so I had to buy another; mostly due to the number of devices in separate sections of my equipment cabinet. I do miss the touch screen but really only have to remember which button is associated with the different activities. This remote is controlling: Apple TV, Direct TV DVR, Smart Samsung TV, Yamaha AV amp, LG Blue Ray DVD player. I got it on sale so even a better value.

Works great once configured
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn't recommend this remote for beginners or anyone who doesn't like tinkering with things. I have this set to control my Soundbar, TV, Xbox and my Fire stick. Works great after I have everything set the way I want it. This remote works by adding devices and then by adding activities. At first the activities were causing me a lot of problems with turning one device on while turning a other off. I set mine to only turn on and off when I hit my designated power button. Works great for me now. The remote also has great range, fairly ergonomic, nice quality feel and buttons. Doesnt need to be pointed at your device, can just grab and click. Two reasons I'm not giving 5 stars. 1 the configuration wasn't all that easy. 2 it doesn't have a rechargeable battery.

Works Well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like Logitech remotes. This one works well and has plenty of buttons available. Especially with an iPad. There are two downsides. Connectivity issues are sometimes an issue. I didn't think I would miss buttons. But the flat screen does make it difficult to hold your finger on a button waiting to hit. Something I do often when skipping commercial. Wish I would have upgraded to the better remote with the combo.

Works Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My experience is that this a great lower cost alternative to the Ultimate Remote (which is $100 more expensive). After I set up an Ultimate for a friend I purchased this one for myself. The display on the Ultimate is great but it wasn't worth an extra $100. Both were easy to setup, but the hubs take some time on the initial online sync. If you use either the supplied remote or your cell with the phone app exclusively there seems to be minimal problems. When you're bouncing back and forth between using one and then the other I've heard of problems. However I haven't experienced any of those.

Best value from Harmony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple but powerful remote and the hub that gives you the flexibility to use it with the provided app. Very good pricing for what you get.

Not too shabby for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my experience so far, the app works better than the actual remote. I'm having trouble when I hit the music button on the remote. It doesn't want to turn on bluetooth on my soundbar to stream my iPad. I have to tell it to turn on after it fails when trying. Other than that, it's a decent value. Got it for $50 off

Great universal remote!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having had Harmony remotes for years and my most recent 880 finally giving up the ghost, I picked this model up and i have to say i love it. First is was easy to customize for all my home theater and music system components (easier than the old Harmony); and, second even though it is focused on using your smart phone or tablet for the remote, the included remote control is PERFECT for 99% of my needs. Finally, i have a small simple remote to control everything easily. If i need to do custom configurations its really easy to go back to the iPad to use the configuration app and verify its working; but, the simple remote control is perfect for my needs. Hats off to Logictech for putting a product that is inexpensive and still does way more than their old universal remotes do and enable simple configuration. I consider it icing on the cake that i can always use my phone/tablet every once an a while but the simple included remote control does all the simple stuff. One last item, now that simple remote control also allows my spouse, children, and in-laws to manage a really complex system from a simple remote and not make me crazy with 'how do i turn on the TV?!'

This solves the remote pile-up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Easy Setup with iPhone, all my remotes are now in a box in my entertainment center, I only need this one. Cons: Nope, none, nada Great Device, low profile and doesn't add that much bulk to your shelf. I have an older surround sound system that I've not been able to find on any other universal remove system... THIS ONE HAS IT! This has been a great device!

Good Remote, Great Price

Good...almost great but not quite
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.as a piece of my connected home, this is a good addition and checks most of the boxes. I have had several all in one remotes - some harmony, some professional grade - and here are some pros & cons: - alexa integration is good. problem is that you need to be specific about commands and people unfamiliar can't really use it - set up was ok, but long. I had some trouble but the online troubleshooter at Harmony was helpful - long press keys on the remote are good concept but not in practice. the remote is pretty basic and i find myself wishing it could do more. I programmed the long press to do so, but again, people unfamiliar with the remote won't know to use it. It seems harmony wants us to use the app on a phone or tablet, which is OK but a physical remote is best IMO - the remote is not backlit. can't use in a dark room.

This remote ROCKS!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote uses WiFi to connect to the small Smart controller box which has its own IR Blaster and also talks RF to devices like our Dish Hopper satellite receiver which doesn't like IR. Because of the WiFi connection between the remotes and the central Smart controller you can control things without pointing the remote at the devices, in fact you don't even have to be in the same room as long as you're connected to the same WiFi network as the controller. If your devices are in a cabinet or otherwise hidden you might need an IR repeater to get everything running smoothly but those are relatively inexpensive and simple to install. It would be nice if the Harmony Smart controller had a standard output for IR distribution, the supplied IR Blaster has a smaller than standard plug but it's pretty easy to point the Blaster at the IR receiver of your IR distribution repeater if your situation requires using one. Set up is incredibly easy, just pick the components you want included in an activity, select the source input and finally assign the activity to the remote button you want . You do this setup on your PC using the Harmony software and then just sync the Smart console with the PC using the supplied USB cable and you're good to go. You can use the great little remote to run the system or down load the Harmony phone app and run it all from your phone. The phone interface is a little clunky but works fine.

Great buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this mainly to get the hub. I thought the remote might be good so I could get rid of my different assortment of remotes. The remote that came with it wasn't very user friendly and I quickly found that it was limited in it's usefulness. The hum does have an app which I got from the Play Store and installed it on a 7" tablet that wasn't being used. It is now used only for that purpose. Took me a couple of minutes to figure it all out but now I can control my tv, receiver, comcast box and my raspberry pi with Plex installed. This even connected to my google home and I can turn everything on/off by voice. The app with the hub is a great combo, everything is laid out with all of the controls easy to use. Now instead of 4 different remotes I can use the tablet for everything. I recommend this hub very much.

Excellent universal remote/transmitter!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this purchase, especially since I got it on sale. This is far easier than the advanced universal remotes of yesteryear when you had to either click your way through advanced setups on the remote or cludgy pc software. Now all you do is follow a wizard on the smartphone. The hub is great and is incredibly good at reaching my components in hard to reach places with the built in ir blaster. I didn't even bother adding the external ones. The included remote is somewhat limited due to few scenes buttons, but for my use it works great, and I hardly ever use the phone as a remote (prefer the tactile buttons on the remote..). Controlling my tv/receiver/firetv and hue lights with it so far. Works great though very occasionally the tv fails to start up. I could perhaps fix this with a blaster, but it happens only once in 20 times or so. Controlling the fire tv works well too, though you lose the microphone of course. I'll say that getting it to work was harder than I liked though. Even after enabling the logitech in the bluetooth settings on the firetv, getting the logitech app to accept it was working was tough. I eventually had to set up the scene again from scratch, then edit it, and suddenly it started working.

Works with Alexa, a little glitchy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this. It really works with Alexa, and it's very convenient to be able to use my voice to pause a show or change the volume when I'm cooking and my hands are covered in stuff. Works great with my smartphone - the app lets me control everything on my smart TV, Blu ray player, and STB. The physical remote is great, too - it feels great in your hand. Slim and light with a nicely textured case. My only complaints are that, sometimes, the physical remote doesn't connect with the hub right away, and the commands can be glitchy (e.g., I try to turn off the STB, and it shuts off the TV; I try to turn on the Blu Ray, and it opens the drawer), but maybe I did the setup wrong. Still trying to work it out. Overall, I love it. It's not perfect, but it is really convenient (and fun to play with).

controls tv and audio reciever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the harmony hub initially to control my cable and tv and receiver through my google home mini. the remote that came with it works well. I can control cable functions as well thru google voice and was able to use download existing set up of harmony one to the hub and remote. The set up took some time to figure out but the effort was worth it.

MUCH Simpler then other Harmony's
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the Harmony 700 for many years and it worked great, but the rest of my family members always struggled with it. The Harmony Smart Control is a HUGE improvement. Setting up the remote on the phone instead of being required to sync the setup with my computer like the on 700 was a much welcomed enhancement. You can still use the computer to setup the Smart Control, but I would suggest using the mobile app. All of my family members us the remote now and I haven't heard any complaining since–was weekly with the 700 :( This is worth every penny and I'm SO GLAD I made the upgrade. Also, turning off your devices from your phone when you're in the other room never gets old. :)
