I personally would prefer a slightly larger mouse, with less dramatic sculpting and a scrolling wheel with rounded, rather than squared, edges.

It finally dies and I needed another mouse in a hurry. (I was on the road and didn't want to wander all over a strange town.) I bought this because it looked like it would be comfortable to use. It is comfortable but uses a dongle, which I don't like but it's better than a cord. It seems reliable and has not missed a beat yet. I do like the quiet buttons.

As for silence, it's a huge improvement over the standard mouse, but it's not really silent -- just super quiet. My wife doesn't complain any more when I'm playing poker in the bedroom when she's trying to sleep. But, I still hear it and imagine she'll get to where the quieter clicks bug her. We'll see. Oddly, the right click is almost silent, but the left one is not.
