The one I used was an older Logitech model, it was bigger than this one and the ball was not snapped in like on this one, but neither of those things made it any better, this one is great. I bought a second one since they were on sale.

Todate I have been very please with the devise's performance. I am starting to get the feel for using the track balll as I have been a long time traditional mouse user. My main reason for switching was to be able to work in CAC/CAM applications easier.

Wish I got it sooner

I'm so glad I got this, I forgot how much I like using them. It's simply less awkward for me to use. I programmed the buttons to perform the tasks I want them to and I'm good from there. It's a bit smaller than I wanted, but I've had it about a month now and have not had any problems getting used to it. The one I used to have seemed to be made with better quality materials, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
