    I purchased this to try to alleviate wrist pain I was having using a regular mouse. It was suggested to me in an online discussion group when I asked for recommendations for a vertical mouse. It's not really a vertical mouse, though, so I should have kept looking. Trying to get used to the track ball has decreased my productivity.

    I bought this item based in part on positive reviews for distance. I game using a TV and was looking for something that would let me control mouse-based games from the couch. The Logitech unifying controller seems to experience frequent drops which causes my mouse to lose connections, even over only like 10-15 foot distances.
