    M570 Mouse Trackball Issues

I was excited to see this Bluetooth compatible trackball mouse available for such a modest price. This is my first experience with this version of Bluetooth Logitech Trackball mouse, but I have used an older USB Logitech Trackball mouse in the past. The mouse I received is extremely rough upon first use. I am not at all pleased with how it operates, but am going to try it out for a few days before deciding to exchange or return it. The Trackball sticks or “skips” and isn’t at all smooth like my previous experiences with similar USB type mice. Due to the like of precision, I am having difficulty being productive.

I love track mouses. But this only last a little over a year. And they are too expensive to have to replace that often. Did enjoy it while it worked.

It does not let us have a faster mouse movement or fine control when the intended click position is bit farther and to move the cursor as needed without lifting or repositioning the thumb

I am having trouble with the trackball. After a short time the ball itself will not move the mouse. I have to take it out and clean it 2 or 3 times a day. This is getting frustrating

The wireless range for this mouse is disappointing. I have to adjust the location of the computer tower to be as close as possible to the mouse. Otherwise, it will not work reliably.

This is the second one I bought--the first broke after about 8 months. I'm not a fan of this particular thumb trackball, but I needed something cheap for the time being. It does the trick.

The trackball mouse worked fine except it made the carpal tunnel so much worse. My hand kept going numb and I wish I would of taken it back and exchanged it.

I prefer trackball over a mouse so when my old M570 left button stopped working I had little options available, ie only 1 trackball is in stock at best buy (the M570). So I have a new one hoping that it will last longer than the last one.

Just not a fan of the ball. Everything is dependent on comfort. Just didn't fit my hand right. I would go into the store and see if you can try it out before buying it.

Problem bumping two little buttons buy the left click button, takes you back a page or two. Eats battery, prefer ones the connect by wire to computer

    Finally!

As an avid trackball user for years (I've had probably 7 variants over the last ten+ years) I'm so happy that Logitech has made one that finally fits my needs. I prefer a trackball when using my laptop in a mobile setting since you never know how much space (or what kind of surface!) you'll have to work on. Wireless Pros: After using their old wireless trackball for a year or so, I gave up on that since the wired receiver it used couldn't stand up to continuous setup and repacking the lack of strain relief on the wire led to damage. The wired one was a pain for all the same reasons that wired controllers are a pain in a mobile environment. The new one combines the nano-receiver and has a place to store it when it's not plugged into your laptop. So convenient. I also notice no delay when compared to the wired version of the Logitech trackball used on my home system. Trackball Pros: The ball action is extremely smooth with almost zero resistance and allows for precise control of your cursor: this is very important to me as I use it professionally for Photoshop editing and Illustrator drawing. I find this to be in direct contrast to Microsoft trackballs which have quite a bit of resistance to your thumb inputs in comparison, especially as the bearings get dirty. Oh - and this is very simple to clean by popping the ball out and swiping your fingers over the three bearing points. The addition of the two buttons for forward and backwards are a nice touch and bring it more into line with more modern mice that are on the market. Given my druthers, I'd ruther have a trackball with the button selection a new mouse offers, however, this is a decided step in the right direction which leaves me as giddily happy after several weeks' hard use as I was when I first saw the box on a Best Buy shelf!

I've never used this type of mouse and I thought it would move like a normal one. It doesn't. It's stationary and you use the ball for everything. I just wanted the trackball to play mame games. It works for that, but I have to switch back to my old mouse for everything else. I see a lot of bank tellers and office people use these, so they must be a choice for that type of work. If you're used to it, then it's probably great. Not for me thought and now it just sits under my monitors. No biggie. Not worth returning it.

I was looking for an ergonomic keyboard but my thumb got numb after some minutes of using, and it was tiring to move it because it is a little heavy. I got a vertical mouse Anker which is much better

I was really hoping on increasing production at work but its been over four weeks now and I am finding myself wanting to go back to a standard mouse. I continually find myself having to redo things because I just cannot work as accurately as I did with the mouse. Also, the scroll wheel is not as friendly, it scrolls fine, but I really have to lean on it to press down on it, when on a mouse, it's a simple click. I like it because I am not using my wrist anymore but I have yelled at it a couple of times using foul language, expressing my frustration with it. I'll give it a few more weeks... then start looking for other avenues.

tried "ball" based mouse for first time, took some time for adjustment. i still don't feel comfortable using this mouse and tend to go back to my regular mouse.
