4K Webcam with Style and Elegance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The all-new Logitech MX Brio is a business class webcam that punches well above its class. Opening the box, you are treated to a great presentation. The lid opens to showcase the MX Brio front and center. Nice touch indeed! Pulling the webcam out of the box, you will instantly notice the build quality. The MX Brio feels very solid and has some heft to it. Feels very premium. The webcam base is magnetic and connects to webcam effortlessly. Also, in the box you will find the USB-C cable for connecting the webcam to your computer. Once placing the webcam base to your monitor, place the MX Brio on the base to connect. Plug in the USB-C cable to the webcam and your PC or Mac. Next go to www.logitech.com website and download Logitech Options + application. Once installed, open the Logitech Options + Application and you will be presented with all the webcam controls. Be sure to click on the update firmware link to install the latest firmware version. Now you are ready to open your favorite web conference application and start enjoying crystal clear 4K video and audio. When not in use, there is a privacy shutter to close off the webcam lens. Simply turn the dial counterclockwise and it will close the lens. If you need a new webcam, the Logitech MX Brio is certainly up to the task!

High Quality Webcam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Video conferencing became a necessity for my job during the pandemic. I’ve conducted countless streaming meetings, interviews, and presentations, and as the pandemic has passed, its advantages have made it an indispensable tool for workplace communication. I think that having good image quality and good lighting is essential for a professional videoconference. I’ve used Logitech webcams for many years and have always found them to be great but in an effort to improve video quality even further, I was excited to try the new Logitech MX Brio Ultra HD 4K webcam with its 8.5 megapixel sensor it can do 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 60 fps. In the box you get the Brio, a usb C cable, and some documentation. The camera is surprising heavy and has a great quality feel to it. The body is mostly metal with some plastic on the rear. The camera mount is also very nice with a swivel feature and a reusable sticky pad to securely mount it to the rear of your monitor. This comes in handy when using the Brio Show Mode. This feature allows you to tilt the camera forward and down toward your desk in order to display items to other participants during a presentation. The camera attaches to the mount clip magnetically and holds strongly when attached. The Brio can also be mounted to a tripod since the underside of the cam has a threaded mount. The lens is glass and is quite large. Rotating the outside edge of the lens opens and closes the privacy shutter. On the front of the camera are 2 integrated dual beam-forming noise-reducing microphones. Here you also find an LED light to let you know when the camera is on. To connect the camera to your computer you just connect the included usb C cable. This cable is heavy duty and is probably the thickest usb cable I’ve seen. No doubt in an effort to better transmit the 4K video. This cable is unfortunately a bit short for my liking. The Logitech software can be found by scanning the QR code in the box. At the link you can download the Logi Options + software and / or the G Hub software. Both software have the same camera configuration options but I think the G Hub software is much nicer to use. The camera video looks great out of the box but adjusting the image settings significantly improves the image quality. Here you have a bunch of settings to tweak. On the Crop tab you can adjust the field of view to 65°, 78°, or 90°. I love this feature to adjust the camera view. Here you can also zoom the camera and adjust position. On the Exposure tab you can use auto exposure or adjust it manually. There is a low light compensation feature and you can also toggle HDR. On the Image tab you can configure a full range of color and brightness settings. On the Focus tab you can turn auto focus on or off. After playing with the brightness, color temperature, contrast, saturation, and sharpness the Brio image quality was significantly improved at least to my preferences. Once configured, you can also name and save your settings for future use. The Brio MX also uses AI to further automatically improve image and sound quality. I find the resulting image quality superior to any other webcam I’ve previously used. The 4K image is crisp and detailed and the Brio performs very well in challenging low light situations. The Logitech Brio MX is great solution for your professional looking streaming and videoconferencing needs.

Nice Upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech MX Brio Ultra HD 4K is Logitech’s newest webcam for home office and streamers. It’s the latest version of the popular Brio 4K which I’ve been using for a few years. - The mount makes it easy to rotate the camera left and right, as well as swivel up and down. This is a huge improvement over the previous version Brio 4K. The magnetic mount is also easily removed so you can attach the camera to a tripod. The prior Brio 4K also could be attached to a tripod, but it was so unobvious that many people were not aware of that feature. - The prior Brio 4K web cam had an image that was overly warm, brightened and lacked detail. This updated MX Brio 4K does a much more accurate job rendering the image and showing some contrast. That’s nice but it also means you’ll want to adjust the image settings, as the default is harsh with HDR active. HDR is horrible for most people, so you’ll want to turn that off. - Speaking of settings, the MX Brio 4K has more settings that can be adjusted than the Brio 4K. To change settings, you can use either the Logi G Hub or Logitech Options+ software, both are free. - The microphone is better than the older Brio 4K by far. But, if your space allows, you should use a dedicated mic like the Logitech Blue Yeti close to your mouth for the best sound. - A thick USB-C to USB-C cable is included. - Privacy shutter: a simple twist of an outer ring on the lens will put a physical curtain on the lens. - Show Mode. When you swivel your camera down to show your keyboard, desktop, etc…, this mode will automatically flip the image so that viewers don’t see it upside down. If you plan to use Show Mode, you’ll want to also use the adhesive on the mount so that swiveling it down does not cause it do dislodge from your computer. - Low light: the larger sensor of the MX Brio 4K is a huge step up for low light environments. Far less noise and better colors than the Brio 4K. The low light and microphone capabilities are the big step ups from the older model. If those are not important features, then your old Brio 4K is perfectly fine to keep. Otherwise, the MX Brio 4K is a nice upgrade.

A Worthy Upgrade
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have some experience with Logitech webcams, you'll know there's a diverse collection of them at different price ranges. I've had good experiences with these cameras from the cheaper ones to the Brio 1080p and 4K line. This latest Brio Ultra 4K webcam is fantastic and adds a couple of improvements from its predecessor. For the basics, I can say the image quality is still incredibly good, delivering a crisp an clear image to my video calls. The LogiTune and Logi Options+ companion software allows you to fine-tune the FOV, brighness, saturation, etc...just like before. Movement is smooth, and the microphone is clear. I now use the camera on a constant, daily basis for work, and I know that my video/audio feed is perfect. I see the small improvements in my teleconference quality, but there are two physical improvements that I was also really happy to see: 1) The shutter. The Brio Ultra now has a built-in privacy shutter. Wrapped around the lens is a wheel that you turn to open or close the shutter. I really like having this option over my previous webcam - where it was just a piece of plastic that you flip up and it often shifted around. 2) You can now disconnect the camera from its base. The camera is mounted onto its base magnetically. If you want to use the camera elsewhere, you can detach it and mount it on a different stand using the camera mounting screw now available on the camera itself. It's a small thing, but makes the camera much more versatile. If you're looking for a good quality camera in this price range, this is the one to get.

The privacy shutter is so simple it is magic.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My favorite feature of this webcam is rotating the outer ring to close the shutter. Integrating a privacy screen into the hardware without requiring a separate piece of plastic is a welcome change from previous Logitech webcams. I use the webcam with Zoom and Microsoft Teams on a MacBook Pro. While you can plug it in and use it without any additional software downloads, you will want to install Logi Options+ so that the webcam will download and install a zero-day firmware update. The software situation is a confusing mess. Open the webcam packaging and the top lid includes what should be a helpful 6-step visual of how to get started. Something went wrong with the communication between whoever designed the cardboard box and whoever designed the Logitech website. What is printed is a confusing mess. If you ignore the 6 steps and scan the QR code you’ll be fine. If you read the 6 steps ignore Step 1 which takes you to a marketing page about the camera with no links to download the software you need. Instead skip all the way past Step 6 and follow the URL for logitech.com/support/mxbrio printed at the very bottom of the page. From the Getting Started page choose your adventure: streaming or video conferencing and download either Logi Options+ (what a silly name) or G Hub (not sure that’s any better). Once the software is installed and you’ve connected your camera and computer install the firmware update. One of the recommended setup steps is something you don’t see that often with webcams which is the recommendation to suction attach the camera to the monitor. This camera includes a Pan & Tilt feature that lets you tilt the camera forward and sideways to show others objects sitting on your desk. It works remarkable well, but using it works best when the webcam is firmly mounted to the monitor. Logitech is achieving this with suction. If you plan to use this feature make sure you leave plenty of slack in the USB-C cable. For the first day of use I was asking everyone I zoomed or teamed with if they noticed anything better or worse about my video or audio. Several reported hearing more echo in the audio than before but every person commented that my image and the clarity of the objects behind me were much better than my previous webcam. Logitech attributes this to AI-enhanced image quality but I think the real explanation is that my previous webcam had a 3 degree wider viewing angle. By narrowing the field of view the objects appear closer and in more clarity than they were before. Regardless of the how or why, looking better on camera is always a welcome experience.

Beautiful Quality 4k Web Cam from Logitech
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re still doing remote meetings (zoom, Google Meet, etc.) like I am, and you want to look better on camera, this Logitech MX Brio camera is a good investment. My old webcam (integrated) was 1920x1080 resolution, this one is up to 4k resolution. The picture and color quality on the MX Brio was far superior to my integrated camera, and it made my video quality much improved (I looked better). They claim the image is AI-enhanced, which I can only presume is helping the quality of the images (it’s difficult to know what’s AI-enhanced and what’s the camera itself, everything looks natural). Now there is a choice and some trade-offs (which you might not notice) in that you only get 60 frames per second at 1920x1080 with this camera, meanwhile you get 30 frames per second at 4k. Your choice of resolution may be influenced by the amount of outgoing (upstream) bandwidth you have available. Another great feature of this camera, which I couldn’t do with the integrated camera, is I can angle the camera (while mounted) to the left, right, or even straight down to show my desk. The privacy shutter is a big deal and important to have in an age where hackers try to take control of your cameras, you can open and shut the camera (with a twist) to reduce the likelihood that someone is looking through your camera when you don’t want to be on camera.

Excellent camera for FaceTime and Teams
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this MX Brio Ultra HD 4K Video to replace my old USB webcam. In short, this is a really nice cam! Instructions and setup were pretty easy. Driver downloads and updates worked fine on both my Mac Mini and Dell (Windows) work computer. Chatting via FaceTime was clear and sharp for the person on the other end. They noted how it automatically zoomed and followed me as well vs just a static position (this is in the Logitech app settings). Nice to have the mic built right in as well. On Teams calls, it was much the same. Very clear, sharp bright image with clear audio. Easy to mount on the top edge of my 32 inch monitor. Looks sleek with the wide device format vs a larger ball size cam. I did find that connecting it to an additional passive multi-port USB-C dongle resulted in some jitter and freezes on the other end, so I recommend connecting this directly to your computer (or perhaps a powered USB-C hub). Not a cheap device, but definitely recommend for high quality video conferencing!

Maximum control over the camera with Logi software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I rated it 5 stars overall, I only have a couple of nits to pick. First, the good. The AI in this camera is far better than other cams I have used and a big step up from the Brio 300 wheich was my previous camera. Because I only have one type C port on my computer, I have it plugged in to a dock that has several open Type A slots. It is recognized and works fine as I used a Type C to Type A adapter (make sure the adapter passes data and not just a charging adapter). I have not been able to find how to switch between 4K and 1080P, but the camera has much more adjustability through the Logi Options + software. The first thing it does when after opening the software is to recognize the camera and perform a firmware update to the camera. Once that is done (about 5 minutes), you can open the camera settings and make multiple adjustments. One thing I particularly like is the ability to offset the camera left and right and up and down to center you in the frame. My mounting location is a bit off-center and now I look dead-centered in the frame. The color rendition is great, and the low light capability is superb. When I use my light for night meetings, it does a great job of setting the appropriate white balance and makes me look natural instead of washed out. You can also crop the image, and zoom in and out to give a different field of view so you can be full-frame at any distance from the camera. Truly an advanced capability in the software. I have not used the built in mic yet as I use a studio mike, but plan to give it a try soon. One other neat feature is that is attaches to the bracket with a VERY strong magnet and swivels for more adjustability. The shutter to physically close off the camera is built into the lens and you simply rotate the bezel to close the shutter and block the lens. This is very elegant and superior to the flip lens covers most cameras use. This is one more thing that screams premium camera. Now for the nit picks. It is a lot larger than other cameras and is much heavier, but the adjustable bracket does a good job of clipping on my laptop screen. I need to play with this a bit more, but do not want to use the double-stick tape provided to attach the bracket. Having a type C connector will force many to use a type A adapter, but be sure the adapter passes data, and is not just a power adapter. Mine works fine, but your mileage may vary. I highly recommend this as a step-up camera if you want maximum flexibilty with zoom and postioning of the frame, and the feel of a heavy - well built camera that effortlessly makes you look great. It is a premium priced camera, but it delivers your money's worth.

May be more of a streaming tool than a work one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like webcams as a product had been more or less stagnant for years until the pandemic made them vital computing accessories again. Ever since then they've always felt a little weird to me, like no one's quite sure what the ultimate webcam is supposed to look like anymore and are just experimenting with everything they can think of. The MX Brio epitomizes that for me. It's well built, feature rich, and offers a ton of enhancements and features to justify its premium branding. But I find myself uncertain about what niche it's really meant to fit in, if it fits in any at all. There is a lot to be impressed with here. Right off the bat I love the fact that this is the first consumer grade webcam I've seen in a long time that didn't opt for a permanently attached cable. I have a ludicrously large monitor on my desk which necessitates moving the actual computer a little further away from it than it would be in most setups, and this ended up being a huge issue for my previous webcam because the cable was just a little too short to comfortably reach the ports. I basically had to only plug it in when it was actually being used, which I often forgot to do and resulted in several meetings where I just didn't bother at all. Not an issue when you've got the option to just buy another cable. I imagine for a lot of you this is enough to sell you on the thing, but there is more. The sensor they're using does offer really great image quality. Out of the box the colors were a little overly saturated, as it made my face look almost garishly pink, but the software made it very easy to dial it in for the light in my office and get a more natural skin tone. The wide angle lens does a great job capturing the whole space if you need to be moving around or capturing a moderately sized conference room. Mounting is very modular too - you can either use an included magnetic adjustable clip (which can be permanently affixed to a display if needed) or screw it into a standard threaded tripod adapter. Audio pickup is pretty good too - though of course still not as good as a dedicated headset. The only issues I really have with it is that I think it's honestly a little too much for most of my videoconferencing. Don't get me wrong the 4K resolution is great but it also means it does a great job highlighting every single blemish and shaving mistake. I'd probably be more okay with that if I were the type to constantly be presenting documents or sketching drawings, but when I do need to do such things I use screen sharing, so I'm not sure I'm really getting much value in exchange for my increased self consciousness. Additionally I'm rather disappointed to see that there's no support for features I would expect to be using daily like facial login via Windows Hello. My final conclusion was that as impressive as I found the camera, for this price it's probably not a great fit for my particular use case (primarily video conferences in my home office.) I think I'd likely get more out of something just a little cheaper with more focus on QOL features like the aforementioned facial login tech. But I can definitely see how this would be a great pick for streamers, educators, or smaller content creators who could put the AI image enhancement features and highly granular image controls to their full use.

easy to use, top quality webcam
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Brio webcam has all the bells and whistles one could hope for out of a top of the line webcam built in an easy to use package. If you are looking for a top of the line webcam. whether you will be using this for conference calls for work or streaming or anything in between. this webcam offers fantastic video and audio quality with minimal tinkering needed. however, for those more technically inclined, there are a wealth of features that can be tweaked to get even more out of the product. Pros: Build Quality - there is something to be said about a product literally feeling like it is worth it when it is in your hand. this webcam does exactly that. from the sturdy USBC cord to the mount with a variety of options - including top down viewing, it is clear that Logitech took special care when designing and building this device. I would be remiss if I didn't mention my favorite physical feature of this device, the rotating shutter there's equal parts efficient as well as satisfying to use. Image quality - while I have generally had very good lighting environments while using this product, I am still always quite impressed with the video quality offered. this is due in large part to the AI enhanced image quality providing the best possible picture with little to no input required. simply put this is the best webcam I have ever used and I recommend it highly to anyone

Only webcam you'll ever need!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely LOVE this camera!! The image quality is crisp and if you plan on using this for streaming it is perfect. It won't leave anything to be desired resolution-wise. The microphone is not bad either. I like to have a fan on and it did an amazing job of canceling out the fan noise and focusing on my voice which was very impressive. It magnetically connects to the base and can be mounted on a tripod so that's convenient. If you plan on using this to showcase stuff on your desk, it has a cool feature that lets you flip down the camera and it flips the image to make it right side up. The Logitech G Hub software is pretty intuitive, but I do wish it would give you the option to mirror the image. The thunderbolt cable it comes with is sturdy but not nearly long enough in my opinion. Unless your computer is right next to your monitor you will definitely need a longer thunderbolt cable. Also, make sure it is compatible with this camera, or else you won't get an image or the desired 4k image. Other than that, this camera ticks all the boxes for me. 10/10!

Awesome webcam that runs circles around built-ins
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: I love this webcam. It's much crisper, clearer, and the sound output is better than anything built into a laptop. I struggle to find any cons with its functionality. Price is the only sticking point I'd have with it, but it's pretty in line with other premium webcams. Would definitely recommend. What I like: +4k max resolution provides crystal clear picture that lends a professional look. I would not hesitate to use this in a job interview. I use this to stream on Twitch and YouTube and I love the way it looks. +Auto focus and exposure work very well and very quickly. Moving around, forward or back, I'm constantly in focus with very balanced exposure. +Built in dual mics do a good job of picking up your voice and little else in the background, though I will say these are no substitute for an actual mic. +Show mode is neat. If you want to show somebody what's on your desk, you just flip the camera all the way forward so it's pointing down. The image will automatically adjust to look like your POV. +Privacy shutter being a physical piece (vs clicking an "off" button) is appreciated. You simply twist the bezel a bit and it opens and closes. What I don't like: -I wish it had a depth of field slider or control so it was easier to blur out the background. Maybe you need a much longer lens to achieve that than what's here, but something would be nice instead of relying on the blur effect in Teams/Zoom/etc. -I think it's pretty expensive for what it is, but as mentioned before, it's pretty much in line with some other premium webcams so it's not off base. I just don't think it's a homerun value proposition.

No Windows Hello face recognition
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the Brio 4K, I was interested in upgrading to this to match my other MX master devices but the lack of Windows Hello makes it an complete downgrade. I use the older Brio 4K for face login on both my personal PC and work laptop a lot more than the actual web cam functionality and I'm on Team meetings a lot. This is a huge disappointment. The image quality may be better in the new one but not enough to justify a huge step back for those using the convenience of face login. Save your money and buy the previously one with Windows Hello.

Posted .Hi there! Thank you for your feedback on the Logitech MX Brio Ultra HD 4K camera. We understand your disappointment that it doesn't support Windows Hello face recognition, a feature you heavily relied on with your previous Brio 4K.
We appreciate you highlighting this as a significant factor for users who prioritize secure facial login. Your insights will be valuable for future product development.
