Will stop working in about a 3 years!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this product just about 3 years ago now for our small business. It worked great till the mouse ball has started to have issues to the point where we will now need to replace the mouse. We do plan to replace it with the same mouse. You know the warranty will not cover product failure. I don't even know how long it is anyway. Either way. If it was still covered you would need to send it in before a replacement is sent to you. We may go that way. I could not find any help on their website for any fixes. It was all of a sudden. Just be aware.

Unable to set tracking speed and acceleration
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a longtime user of Logitech trackballs. The M570 has been the gold standard for years, IMHO. I was excited about the new MX Ergo, and the ability to set angle is a great new feature and adds to the comfort in use. Sadly, the MX Ergo is extremely inefficient as I cannot set acceleration at all, and when I set tracking speed it resets periodically. Not ergonomic due to the excessive thumb movement required. Going back to the M570. And, yes, I have done some troubleshooting. Multiple users have reported the same problem. Hopefully a driver upgrade will be provided to fix this issue at some point.

Great Design but Cheaply Made
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super comfortable mouse, however the left button stopped functioning after 18 months. Conveniently outside of the 1-year warranty. I have mice that are over a decade old and the buttons still work. For the price, I'd expect to get at least a few years out of it. Logitect support recommends purchasing a new one.

Same critical flaw, left click mechanism fails
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought that because of the premium price I was paying over their previous trackball mouse, that I wouldn't encounter the same issue with the left click starting to double click on its own. But nope, less than a year in, I'm having exactly those same issues. While the mouse is great otherwise, great feel, great heft, nice angle adjustments, it becomes a hunk of junk once the left click fails. At least with their previous model, buying a replacement once it failed costs less than $20.

Left button stopped working after 3 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved it, but the left mouse button stopped working after three years. For $89 it should have lasted indefinitely.

Paperweight after 9-12 months.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.only good for 9 months to a year. I went through 2-3 of them. After a while the mouse buttons aren't very responsible. As you're dragging a window or file, it randomly drops it. Seen with each one. Had to fight with tech support, but eventually they sent me the latest "LIFT" mouse that seems okay so far.

Disappointment.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a long time Logitech M370 user, I eagerly anticipated the trackball refresh represented by the MX Ergo. What I didn't expect was Logitech dropping the ergonomics ball. Rule one of ergonomics: align the bones. The M570 is as reasonably low profile as one can expect given the positioning and size of the thumb ball. The Ergo is much higher and requires a much greater rotation of the wrist. I would have kept the same profile as the M570 and made all the other updates. That said, the new materials, electronics, and software of the Ergo are a joy to work with - which merely adds to my frustration. I do too much work to deal with poor ergonomics. I'm returning the Ergo for another M570 to replace my worn out M570. Call me worn out and fragile if you want, but the angles of the Ergo literally hurt.

ErgoMouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think that the ball mouse that uses the fingers vs the thumb works better. Taking it back.

Died After 3 Weeks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I splurged on this trackball hoping I'd get a quality product but it died after just 3 weeks. The #2 light was blinking but the charge light was solid green. The Logitech technician told me it was hardware failure and needed to be replaced or returned. I returned it and bought a $15 wireless "no frills" mouse.
