This mouse has been the answer I required. My wrist was constanlty in pain from using the regular mouse. I never really liked how the old style roller ball mouses functioned. This one they have everything right and its design allows my hand to comfortably rest thus removing the strain and stress. This is a great mouse especially as Ive experienced as my wrist no longer throbs after 10 hours behind the keyboard.

The best mouse I have ever had. I work IT from home so ergonomically it helps avoid stiffness and pain. I like the thumb ball and the button just above the ball back a little that slows the mouse down if you need to fine tune or click a small area. The best part is the button behind the wheel that lets me switch from my work computer to my home computer in an instant. Buttons are also programmable.

Good mouse. Hate the magnetic tilt design

You all already know the good stuff about it so I’ll be the one on here to be negative nancy. I only took 1 star off for all of the stuff below because I think it still deserves about 3.5, so I rounded up to 4. Here’s my list of qualms with the thing. A lot of it’s preference but a lot of it is also what I consider is universally disappointing: - the magnetic tilt function is useless and a danger to other electronics. I’d prefer a fixed position and a variety pack of angled wedges instead. (Though I like how heavy the thing is and it never tilts on accident). Also, nowhere to store the unifying receiver, probably because the magnet would kill it. Just too many parts to keep track of and it would suck to travel with this, so it will stay at home. - the power switch on the bottom is extremely flimsy and therefore I will need to limit the amount of times I switch it on/off. The battery life is so good it doesn’t even make sense to turn it off though, so... crisis averted? - the precision button is a cool feature that I use a ton, but the button itself sucks and you really gotta mash it to actuate it. - the clicky buttons and scroll wheel are really loud. But I think here I’m just being picky... - I’m going to replace the included trackball with one from perixx. This one just doesn’t do it for me. Feels like it’s made out of friction. Also, when you attempt to spin the ball fast to flick the cursor across 3 monitors, you’ll only make it halfway through 1. I find that I have to spin it a lot for it to move very far. It is unable to pick up really fast movements. Hopefully a new ball will solve this, but unfortunately I think it’s the sensors themselves that can’t keep up.. - the rubber material on the grippy part is nice but I think time will tell that this was a bad design decision. It will erode it away and it will get sticky. - you have to create a Logitech account just to download the software. But, to my surprise, the software doesn’t suck. This was something I was very worried about, knowing my history of frustration with other products like the G600 and how crap the software for it was. Overall, not worth the $100 price tag. I’d call it fair at about $50. But, what other options for us trackball users are there? If you want a thumb trackball mouse, there is only Logitech, unless you want a garbage Chinese knockoff brand. It’s a great mouse though, don’t get me wrong. I’d recommend it.

The charge lasts for months! Some times the trackball feels like it's gummed/slowed. I don't know if it can be removed to clean inside. I have two: one for use with a make-shift musical studio desk and one at work. This is great for cramped spaces!

very nice mouse. for the money, it has the number of features I'd expect. Two devices simultaneous, ergo adjustments, performance mode (which is cool), & a few buttons which makes navigating a bit easier. Some features I don't use, but when & if I do need them, they're great, especially for creative applications I use at work. My only tik would be you must charge this device. It has good battery, but I don't feel like it's a device with recharging to be a must, one day, this will just be a wired mouse.

This is an excellent trackball. It’s built like a tank and is very configurable from an ergonomic standpoint. The software allows you to program various keys - a very handy feature whose value is not evident until you set the device up the way you like it. Admittedly, it’s a bit pricey but, IMO, this trackball will be worth the difference in cost over its M570 sibling if it lasts as long as I expect it to.

Got a surface tablet and needed a blue tooth mouse due to limited USB ports. This mouse connects via the laptop Bluetooth without using a USB port. Love the trackball. It requires a zero footprint. You never have to move it around. Which makes it perfect for laptops while setting in a comfy chair or couch while surfing or working. It has 2 channels for two different laptops. The price is a little high but I got mine on sale for $20 off.

This trackball is my go to for my laptop computer. The scroll wheel can be pushed side to side for side scrolling. It also includes two extra buttons and a sensitivity button. It works quit a while between charges. The trackball comes with an ergonomic, magnetic base that when attached, tilts the entire thing to one side for comfort of the wrist. Love it

A Superior Trackball Alternative to a Mouse!

The Logitech MX ERGO mouse is awesome. I got hooked on trackballs when I was in their Air Force, working in Cheyenne Mountain's Command Center in the 80's. This device makes input both extremely easy and precise as well as offering superior ergonomics that reduce wrist strain.

Wow. This thing is great. Never thought I’d be this excited about a mouse, but while working from home every little bit helps. Being able to switch between 2 computers is a big plus. You get used to the trackball in about a half hour. Extremely customizable. Just a really great product. If you use Mac i would also get their Mac keyboard. The two work together well.

If you have experience using a trackball you will love this. If you have not used one I would recommend this for your initiation. Easy to configure and use the wireless connection was seamless as it was recognized and ready to use shortly after installed. What I appreciate even more is it is rechargeable. The charge seems to last forever which adds to it's beauty.

If you ever use the trackball version of a mouse you will never go back. This one is VERY smooth, has multiple formats accessible by a single button push, is wireless (I sit with it in my lap across the room and surf in more comfort. No carpal tunnel with this mouse! If you throw the screen to your smart TV you can sit across the room and REALLY enjoy "big screen" computing!

The trackball I've been waiting for...

I've been using the Logitech M570 for several years. This is an excellent upgrade. Bluetooth means no dongle required. NO DONGLE REQUIRED. The unifying receiver is included, but with any luck you won't need it. It was a very simple setup on Windows 10, with no problems. One interesting feature that I've yet to try is the ability to cut and paste from one computer to another via the trackball. Very good feel, including a lot of flexibility in hand positioning. The only downside is the price. I've gotten used to the $35 range for its predecessors.

    Significantly helped wrist pain

Was having wrist pain and using this and keeping the wrist less-pronated and straight helped a ton. Trackball can be sensitive enough to move around without a ton thumb movement also. I would give this 5 stars, but the left-click button failed after 2.5 years. I'm still buying another because of the elevation plate.

The MX Ergo trackball is very precise and it is nice to be able to adjust the angle. I purchased it about 2 months ago and have not had to charge it yet after fully charging it the first time. Using a trackball helps with my carpel tunnel syndrome (my pinky finger always would go numb) from working on the computer so much. I am really grateful that Logitech is still making great trackball products like this one.

A great improvement to my favorite wireless trackball mouse (Logitech M570) because this one can be paired to two different computers at the same time. Makes working from home much easier because I didn't have space to have two sets of keyboard and mice on my desk at the same time. Paired with the Logitech ERGO K860 wireless keyboard, it makes for a great pairing.

I love my new mouse. It was pretty pricey for me. However i have been suffering from shoulder pain. So my wired mouse from work actually has caused me to have shoulder pain. Once i got adjusted and got this mouse my pain disappeared. This mouse is user friendly and so easy to use. It took me 2 days to get really use to it. Give it a try..

Overview: I've used (and seen the death of) several tackballs over the years as they are my go to pointer devices. This MX ERGO trackball takes the throne as the best trackball I've used to date. Pros: *A shortcut maniacs best friend with oh so many shortcut options! *Cozy in the hand, easy on the wrist *Rechargeable *Precision mode *Modern art like appearance *Bluetooth compatibility (one less dongle on the go!) *Cloud backup of configuration *Change DPI at the tap of a button Cons: *So many shortcut options! *Lacks "free-wheel" scroll mode *Shortcut configuration is not stored in the trackball Final words: This trackball can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be. The ability to have a separate set of shortcuts for each of my programming environments, CAD programs, and games is a huge boon. Whether you use the default configuration or go all out with a different configuration for each program, this trackball is a fine addition to any collection.

Love this mouse. I'm been using trackballs for the last 20 years after suffering from some carpel tunnel issues. Have been using previous Logitech models, but this one is easily my favorite. Being able to angle the mouse at a more nature position is infinitely better on the wrist. Highly recommend.
