Love trackball

Since then though it has been incredibly frustrating. First thing is I bought this alongside a Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard with which I've had no problems at all. The first night, I turned both devices off over night, and the next day the mouse would not connect to my Mac at all. After having much difficult with Logitech customer service, I finally figured out I had to restart my Mac's bluetooth connection and re-pair the device. Now today all the auxiliary buttons don't work. The trackball, primary mouse buttons, and scroll function all work, but the two side buttons and horizontal click of the scroll wheel all are broken, for no apparent reason. And Logitech customer service is a huge pain in that there is no simple way to contact them (chat is often broken), and the reps are clearly not tech people, because the first solution they offer is never an actual solution to my problem. Also the movement of the trackball is not as smooth as I want it to be. If the device worked reliably, I would give it 4/5 stars. I never really owned Logitech devices before, so I don't know if this is a new problem, but they seem to have gotten too big to manage their software and their customer service effectively. If you get a well designed device like the keyboard I bought, that doesn't matter. But in the case of this trackball mouse, the software is really bad, and they don't seem to care.

Posted .Hello, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the MX Ergo. You mentioned that you were using it with your Mac and that you were experiencing some issues. Since the update to Big Sur late in 2020, Logitech's software has been working to catch up. If you installed Logitech's Options software before you updated to Big Sur, that could be why it hasn't been working properly. You may want to uninstall and then reinstall the Options software as well as the Firmware Update Tool. Excellent trackball for daily use
