    Needs better scrolling

I used to love trackballs, back in the days of Windows 95 and 98. Logitech had some great ones back then. I had high hopes for this one. Ergonomically it works well. Very comfortable, and I liked the tilt options, both without the base and with the base - plenty of angles available for just about anyone's comfort level. Buttons were precise, no missed clicks. The ball control was good, and the high DPI switch worked flawlessly. But the scroll wheel - no way to unlock it, always ratcheted, so scrolling on a page is an arduous process. You can't just spin it and have momentum go. That was what ruined it for me, having to spin it every little bit for every cm of scrolling... I ended up returning it due to that, but other than that, quality build.

I have both Logitech this one and the M570. What a world of difference. The MX-ERGO is very solid and easy to use. Battery seems to last a very long time and has many features.

    Upgrade from M570 Trackball

tl;dr - consider buying if, 1) you're familiar w/using a trackball, 2) you want a trackball that controls two computers, 3) you want an 20º angle (or 30º with the base that comes Best Buy version), and/or 4) precision mode is desired. If not, the M570 is a better value. I've used trackballs since corded Trackman Wheel (early 2000s), then upgraded to wireless M570 five years ago. Decided to try the Ergo because I had some Best Buy points and $10 off Best Buy birthday credit. I like that the Ergo can control two computers. I'm neutral on the different angles, and haven't really used the precision control

This mouse has amazing ergonomic features. Having sync with Bluetooth is nice no need to take up a USB port. Also the addition of the Percision button helps with lining up shots in FPS.

Great grip in hand size. Easy to maneuver once you get use to not mouse the mouse around and just the track ball. But over all great instead of going off the mouse pad.

I have used many trackballs over the last 28 years. This one is the most comfortable ever. I love the adjustable angle and the scroll wheel is well placed. Surface is non slip and fits the palm very well.

Takes getting used to but good angle. Extra base gives you steeper angle. Micro usb charging. Can pair with two different PCs. Good rubber bottom. Some wiggle on the trackball. Hope the rubberized fell off the exterior doesn’t get gunky over time.

This trackball is like the cadillac of the old MX570 that i have owned for the past 2yrs and this new MX Ergo has so many upgrades with a rubber coating on the top with a precision ball and scroll wheel !! The adjustable magnetic base with a extra pad to make a more angle adjustment is so nice for comfort with no strain on the wrist all i can say is someone was paying attention to this cause the discomfort i had before is almost gone when i use this trackball. The connections are very useful so if you want to use the unifying dongle or if you want to link up the bluetooth its up to you but FYI the bluetooth is alot easier unless you already have the unifying dongle on a keyboard and setup for more devices ..
