Useless documentation!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I missed using a trackball, but I had tendonitis problems and switched to a DXT ergonomic mouse. I thought about building a tilting base for a trackball, but when I saw Logitech was offering a tilting trackball I was all in. Disappointment followed. All that was in the box was the trackball, a micro USB cable, and a couple of pieces of paper: battery disposal instructions, and safety instructions in 6 languages. They went in the trash. Contrary to what's in the documentation I was able to scrape up, there was no Unifying receiver. No clue that it would work with Blue Tooth (not that I can use it with my desktop PC). No clue how to use the "hinged" base, which is apparently just a magnetic base with two possible positions, one normal and one with a slight tilt. The "wedge" gives me more tilt, but not quite as much as I can use. No clue how to assign the buttons (which you can probably only do in Mac or Windows anyway). Logitech has always been the gold standard with me for ergonomics, but now they're batting three strikes: for summarily discontinuing the Squeezebox line, for summarily discontinuing the Harmony line, and now, for the worst product documentation I have ever received from a new purchased product. The trackball works OK, but rather than buy more I think I'll just build those tilting bases for my old trackballs

Not revolutionary. It's just an expensive mouse.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good enough for basic use only if all you do is surf the web and click on links. It's well built and the ball rolls smooth with no friction. Definitely not designed for office work, programming or any task that requires your hand to be on the mouse a lot and do a lot of highlight copy and paste. People use their dominant index finger as a precise tool. With this mouse, you are forced to roll with your thumb. The USB cable only charges the device, it does NOT also act as wired. This is an issue because if you lose the very tiny itty bitty usb receiver, then you are left with a well built $99 mouse you can't use until you get a replacement receiver because the cable does not act as wired, it just charges the device. Overall feel is just like having your hand on a half cut coconut. Too tall and too wide. Rolling with your thumb feels like a struggle. Also, I don't see the point of the tilt function if it only tilts to 20 degree. If it tilts, might as well go all the way to 90 degree with it.

Posted .Hello, thank you for all the feedback, we appreciate this review. Just to let you know this mouse uses both our Unifying receiver and Bluetooth. So, if you happen to lose the USB you can buy a Unifying receiver replacement from our website or you can connect via Bluetooth. If you are looking for a more 90 degree options we do have our Vertical mouse. Here is the link for that: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/mice/mx-vertical-ergonomic-mouse.910-005447.html. I hope this helps!
