Caused thumb pain
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started getting thumb pain after using this as my main work mouse. Unfortunately it was after the 30 day return period. After discontinuing use of the mouse the pain went away after a couple of days. Just to make sure it was the mouse I tried it again and lo and behold the pain came back. I wouldn't recommend this mouse. I don't think your thumb was mean't to do so many repeated actions over and over again.

Great Mouse, when it works
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love these. But literally the luck of the draw. I have one that has been working great for going on 3-4 years. Got another one for my home office and it last for 3 months. No longer returnable. Would not expect this out of a $100 mouse.

Non-existent tech support and knowledge of product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn’t work with Apple’s M1 chip. Sad that I wasted hours both in your third world “tech support” call centers and in the US. Two hours of driving to exchange the Ergo for this device only to find out from Logitech that they won’t have “any” device that’s compatible with the M1 for at least six months. He said that I can get the same functionality with a ten dollar mouse. The movements were jerky and inconsistent. I’m sure they will continue to sell them to M1 owners.

Posted .Hello, Very sorry to hear that the MX Ergo didn't work with your Apple with M1 chip and that you wasted time with the technical support. There doesn't seem to be any problems now with compatability with the M1 Apple devices especially since you can also connect via Bluetooth. In an article dated just a month ago from Dot Esports, they highly recommended the MX Ergo for M1 MacBook's---https://dotesports.com/hardware/news/best-macbook-m1-pro-and-m1-max-mouse. Hope that this was helpful for you and that all is going well. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

Posted .Hello Nikitaso,
Thank you for choosing Logitech and for taking the time to share your experience. I apologize for the issue that you have experienced; I would like to help. If you have not already done so, I recommend downloading the Logitech “Options” software for customization and updates. The MX Ergo Trackball may need to be cleaned occasionally, it sounds like an accumulation of debris may be causing the issue that you have described. There is an access port on the bottom of the MX Ergo Trackball, where you can push out the Trackball for cleaning. I hope this resolves the issue that you are experiencing. I have attached a link to the “Getting Started” support page for the MX Ergo Trackball where you can find software downloads and further support if you are still experiencing issues.
Best regards,
John at Logitech

Great Upgrade from Logitech M570
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched to a trackball earlier this year because my wrist was getting tired after a few hours of using Microsoft's Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse. After some search, it seemed that my only good option for a trackball was the predecessor to this trackball, the Logitech M570. I was a little disappointed in the build quality and the scroll wheel of the M570, so I was happy when Logitech announced the MX ERGO and pre-ordered it. I used the M570 since July until the start of October when the MX ERGO arrived. Even though the MX ERGO cost almost twice what the M570 is going for, I am glad to see that the build quality is way better. The angle on this trackball also feels much more comfortable than the M570, which laid a lot flatter. I have now gotten used to the steeper angle on this and M570 now feels odd and a little "off." Given how much time I spend using the trackball, I can easily justify the cost for myself. I was looking forward to the inclusion of Bluetooth, but I was also a little concerned that it might not work as seamlessly as the proprietary Logitech adapter. After using it for a few weeks now, I am glad to report that it works just as well as the Logitech adapter and that now I don't have to worry about connecting/disconnecting yet another USB device. With Logitech's new "Logitech Options" software for macOS, I have noticed that the forward/back buttons seem more reliable than the M570 buttons and that they now seem to work with more applications than their previous software/drivers. I have noticed that their Logitech Options Daemon software keeps using 1-2% CPU majority of the time. I am contemplating trying to use this mouse without the Logitech software, but I haven't done it yet. An additional benefit with Logitech's new Options software is that I no longer have to run an additional application (called Scroll Reverser) to reverse the scroll direction. Their Options software has an "option" to reverse the scroll direction. One thing that I am curious to see pan out over the next few months is the battery life. I did not use the M570 long enough, but I have heard that it easily lasts longer than a year. Logitech advertises the MX ERGO's battery to last four months. My trackball shows about 2/3 battery still left to go after almost two-and-a-half weeks. Given that it's sitting on the desk with easy access to plenty of micro-USB charging cables, I guess recharging this won't be too big of a deal. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

Funky trackball
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t like this mouse at all. You don’t actually move the mouse to move the cursor. To navigate you move the trackball. I found it counter intuitive.

Highly recommended ergo mouse alternative
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech has been one of my go-to brands when it comes to computing accessories, but to be honest it has been at least a decade since I've tried to use a trackball. So, I was definitely curious how the Logitech MX Ergo Plus Wireless Trackball performed. First off, from a build quality perspective the MX Ergo Plus meets and even slightly exceeds my typically high expectations from Logitech. Even though you aren't moving the whole unit around like a mouse, it still feels well built. In addition, the adjustable ergonomic angles (more on that later) are provided by a nicely weighted magnetic metal plate in conjunction with other embedded magnetics. All of the other buttons, wheel, and trackball itself also have the expected tactile feel. Now, the biggest feature touted is the ergonomic design. With the previously mentioned magnetic metal plate, you can have the MX Ergo sit pretty much flat, or by at a 10 degree angle. The Plus model, which is sold exclusively by Best Buy, adds an additional base that results in a 20 degree tilt. I've been using a split ergonomic keyboard for years, and I really liked using the Ergo Plus in the full 20 degree angle, as it felt like my hand is resting at a natural angle and state. The trackball itself feels precisely controlled by my thumb, and there is a button that alternates between two dpi settings for even more finer control. Also previously mentioned, a wheel is located between the two buttons for both vertical and horizontal scrolling, as well as middle-click duties. Logitech also provides their optional software, Logitech Options, that allows you to customize button actions. It is optional in most cases if you're happy with the default settings. The Wireless component is via both Bluetooth or Logitech's Unifying receiver, which is included in the package. In practice, it worked well for me. Other items of note. The built-in rechargeable battery is charged via microUSB; cable, but not charger, included. Also, it is capable of being connected to more than one system with a button to toggle between systems. The Logitech Options software also offers a feature to share information between the two systems, but I didn't try it out. Overall, I am very pleasantly surprised with how quickly I adjusted to the MX Ergo Plus. I'll be using it with my notebook by the couch from now on and definitely recommend it if you want an ergonomic alternative to a mouse.

Another winner from Logitech!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech - MX ERGO Plus Wireless Trackball Mouse Already have the MX Master for the desktop and the Marathon Mouse M705 for the laptop, so wanted to have a go with the new trackball and see what I have been missing with "thumb driving" on the computers. Shape is the comfortable Logitech hand-sculpted design. Wow this thing is a brick and I realized right away this would not be suitable for laptop case, but is good for using the laptop "in my lap" or on the bed when at home. For desktop use, I still prefer the MX Master since that is what I am used to, but when maneuvering space is limited or when using the laptop "off the desk" and sitting in a chair, sofa, or bed >> this is a very nice mouse to have handy. Lots of customization available for the buttons, and no question this mouse stays put as it is a very solid piece of equipment. Rocking the tilt base to adjust the hand angle is a nice feature and sometimes I like it flat, and sometimes I like it at an angle. Mouse comes with additional soft-ish plastic base to add more angle to the mouse, but I found the base did not "stick" to the bottom of the mouse plate and unless it was on a hard surface (NOT the chair, sofa, and bed) then the plastic add-on base tends to flop around. No problem as the standard base and tilt adjustment was fine. If I were a desktop track-ball user, the extra angle might be very useful or ergonomic, so in that situation it works just fine. Unifying receiver is always a plus for using different Logitech mice and keyboards between computers. Oh yes, and the Bluetooth pairing is no problem >> nice feature is a quick click of a button to switch between 2 different computers (using the receiver or the Bluetooth - whichever you prefer). Overall another nice product from the "Mouse Masters" at Logitech. Other brands seem to come and go, and some are good and some are not, but the Logitech brand has never let me down. Treat yourself to a high-quality mouse and if you want the track-ball function >> the MX ERGO is where it's at. If you are a dyed-in-the-wool "traditional" mouse person - treat yourself to the MX Master. Either way, you deserve a little bit of luxury and comfort for your mouse-hand.

Posted .Hi, we're sorry to see you're unsatisfied with the performance of the MX Ergo Plus Wireless Mouse. If you're wanting to adjust the cursor speed, you can do so in the free Logitech Options app! Not only will you be able to do things like that, but you can also macro the other buttons of your mouse to other repetitive tasks as well! Hope that helps. -N from Logitech

Great ergononmics, Poor debouncing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to reduce hand pain from circuit board CAD, and it was worth every penny in this regard - virtually eliminated all my mouse hand strain. The 20 degree tilt is perfect - I found the extra rubber spacer was unnecessary. Doesn't take much time to get used to, and it's accurate enough for everything I do except first person shooters. Great to use on couches. Bluetooth and channel swapping are reliable and very snappy. Two complaints though: 1) Poor button debouncing for auxilliary buttons (forward, back, and precision mode buttons). The mouse alternates in several week-long streaks between properly sensing these button presses, and sensing two button presses when I only press once. Of course, this renders the precision mode useless until the mouse decides to start debouncing button presses again. And going forward and back doubly is annoying, and also renders those buttons essentially useless. Even $10 mice get this right, as proper button debouncing is a core function of a computer mouse, hence the two star deduction. 2) A bit large for small hands. In the tilted position, I can't rest my hand on the table and easily reach the trackball at the same time. This is a relatively minor complaint though Despite the debouncing issue, I'd still recommend this for mouse hand pain, since there's not really anything that competes with the mx ergo imo.

Purchased for a Friend; Friend didn't Like at All.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for a friend: Within a couple of months, friend reported that unable to scroll and friend felt that mouse was poorly constructed and scroll wheel was crooked inside of housing. The cost was almost $80 and product didn't measure up. It was upsetting to me since I still use a very vintage Logitech TrackMan at my place that is years old and still works great.
