    Best Trackball Mouse I've Tried!

I almost exclusively trackball mice. Most of the time I'm on my laptop I'm sitting in a arm chair or recliner. This mouse is hands down the best one I've used. I use my laptop for both gaming and design and this mouse works well with both. The ability to switch between 2 different sensitivity settings with a click of a button is super convenient. Overall, if you are looking for a trackball mouse, you should get this one.

I've loved my track balls through out the years so the opportunity to get one with ergonomic customization and Flow control of two computers seemed perfect for upgrading my office pointing device. After one day, I'm back to the old as I just couldn't find a setting that was actually comfortable. The placement of the track ball itself is the problem, its to tight to the control, and the left and right click placement force you to keep your thumb unnaturally under your palm in order to fully operate. I do have large hands so I expect that this isn't a problem for everyone, but buyer be warned. On a positive note: I found the sensitivity to be great, and the customization options available through Logitech Options are super helpful.

I really like the size of the mouse in my hands and I have average woman hands. The one thing I didn't like is the angles I felt like none of them were quite right for my wrist when was too big one was too small there wasn't a perfect angle. I also like that it charges with the USB versus using AA batteries

Had for 4 months. Left button stopped depressing/clicking down. Under warranty. Contacted Logitech. After multiple emails, proof of purchase, etc...not good enough. Now, they want me to film a video to send to them. Really? No. Enough. Never, ever buying Logitech again.

I replaced the older logitech trackball bluetooth mouse with the mx ergo and am glad I did. The mx ergo has consistently connected to multiple laptops, hasn't stuttered (as with the older model) and doesn't feel cheap vs. the older model.

I have worked with computers for over 30 years. The first time I got a Logitech trackball (TrackMan Marble) was in the spring of 1999. since I had broken my wrist and bones in my hand, I needed a mouse that was easy to use. The Logitech trackball was the best solution. So I have over 20 years experience with Logitech trackballs. I have witness many iterations of this brand's trackball. I loved them all. EXCEPT I have one serious issue with them. The left mouse button WILL FAIL you after 2-3 years of heavy usage. I find it disappointing, and frankly, disgraceful that they cannot address this issue. It's been an known issue for a very long time. Do a search and you will find many have complained about this problem. There are tons of video on how you could fix this button failure. However, Logitech has made it more difficult to fix it by changing the screws on the bottom to the device. They would rather you buy a new one then to fix the problem. Since my trackball is now failing, this time after only two years of use, I have decided my 20+ years of loyalty is coming to an end. I have seen some cheaper models last longer. So in my opinion. this Logitech trackball is not worth the cost of having to replace it every 2 to 3 years.

Will stop working in about a 3 years!

We purchased this product just about 3 years ago now for our small business. It worked great till the mouse ball has started to have issues to the point where we will now need to replace the mouse. We do plan to replace it with the same mouse. You know the warranty will not cover product failure. I don't even know how long it is anyway. Either way. If it was still covered you would need to send it in before a replacement is sent to you. We may go that way. I could not find any help on their website for any fixes. It was all of a sudden. Just be aware.

Unable to set tracking speed and acceleration

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I am a longtime user of Logitech trackballs. The M570 has been the gold standard for years, IMHO. I was excited about the new MX Ergo, and the ability to set angle is a great new feature and adds to the comfort in use. Sadly, the MX Ergo is extremely inefficient as I cannot set acceleration at all, and when I set tracking speed it resets periodically. Not ergonomic due to the excessive thumb movement required. Going back to the M570. And, yes, I have done some troubleshooting. Multiple users have reported the same problem. Hopefully a driver upgrade will be provided to fix this issue at some point.

    Great Design but Cheaply Made

Super comfortable mouse, however the left button stopped functioning after 18 months. Conveniently outside of the 1-year warranty. I have mice that are over a decade old and the buttons still work. For the price, I'd expect to get at least a few years out of it. Logitect support recommends purchasing a new one.

Same critical flaw, left click mechanism fails

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I thought that because of the premium price I was paying over their previous trackball mouse, that I wouldn't encounter the same issue with the left click starting to double click on its own. But nope, less than a year in, I'm having exactly those same issues. While the mouse is great otherwise, great feel, great heft, nice angle adjustments, it becomes a hunk of junk once the left click fails. At least with their previous model, buying a replacement once it failed costs less than $20.
