Great Keyboard for around the house.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This keyboard is super versatile in what you can do with it. It works great as a desktop keyboard. The key travel is great for this type of keyboard but not my favorite overall. I also love how easy it is to switch between devices. Currently, we have this keyboard attached to my wife's laptop via the dongle and then attached to the apple tv we have via Bluetooth for when we need to type there. It's so much easier than navigating with the remote for the apple tv. One thing of note is this keyboard is kind of heavy. If your thinking about toting it around in a bag or something it may not be the best for that. That said I do like the weight it is heavy enough that I don't feel like I am going to break it if I hold it the wrong way like a lot of other wireless keyboards. I also love the backlighting just subtle enough to not be an annoyance all the time and the lights shut off if you are not using the thing which really saves on battery life. I have not had to replace the batteries yet for this thing.

But theres is a few things I don't like about it. The worst thing of all is the volume shortcut keys. The mute key and vol- key is shared with F11 and F12. It is very annoying. Since if I choose the disable the F key permanently, only the VOL+ is accesible with 1-touch. The mute and VOL- is only accesible with pressing Fn key together with F11 or F12. But if I enable the F key permanently, I can't easily use the F1 - F12 easily which I use all the time for my work. My older logitech keyboard has the Volume keys dedicated, which in my opinion much better. This keyboard has a dedicated keys for calculator, screenshot and computer lock. Which I think should be used for the volume keys instead.

A LOT of people do not need a number pad. Would like to see TLK version. Secondary would like for keys to have more travel distance. Too subtle. No wrist pad rest offered and no pivot angle options. Great but not really. That my verdict.
