    Illumination is controlled by proximity of your hands, not actually touching the keys. It switches seamlessly between my work laptop, personal laptop and iPad. The software to manage the MX Keys keyboard and the MX series mice is very useable. Unfortunately, I spilled coffee over a third of the keys. It dried out well but the keyboard illumination shorted out on the keys that got wet. The keyboard cannot be repaired by Dell or others. When I ruin the rest of the keyboard, I will replace it with the same model.

    It's well built, keys are soft and easy to type, suitable for office use, not sure if it's good for gaming tho.

    Although it was a little more than I was looking to spend on a keyboard, it was well worth the money. It connects easily via Bluetooth to my work and personal laptops and can switch from one to the other with the press of a button. I also like the that it is a "quiet" keyboard (no loud clicks when you press the keys) so I'm not "that guy" with the loud keyboard on conference calls. Overall, well built and seems sturdy.

    This is better than the actual magic keyboard 2. It's backlit and the keys are so soft and good to type on. Looks amazing on the desk too.
