I love the keyboard however it will not accept any charging cord I have tried to use with it. I bought another keyboard exactly like it and its charging cord will not fit either. Other than that it's a great keyboard, lol.

When it works, it's fine. But if I go more than two days without using it, I have to constantly go through the pairing setup several times the with my Mac. I just want to get to work, not worry about if the keyboard is functioning, especially at this price. Pass on this device.

Hello Buckeye, I'm sorry to hear you have been having some issues with your MX keys keyboard. To minimize disconnection, I would recommend either using the included USB dongle, or if that's not an option, minimizing obstructions between your keyboard and your computer.

worthless....simple. just got off CS phone call after 4 months of problems. CS sent me another MX and has the same issues. the keyboard will not light up if there is sunlight coming through the window. took me 3 months to figure this out. i sit in front of a window. if it is cloudy outside the unit works just fine. once the sunlight come through the clouds and more into my office keyboard will not light up. logitech sent me another one but it has the same issues. QUALITY IS EXCELLENT...LIGHT SENSOR IS WORTHLESS.....

Hello, Very sorry to hear about the lighting issues you're having with the MX Keys. The ambient light sensor for the MX Keys adapts the backlighting according to the brightness of your room. When the room is too bright, over 200 lux, the backlighting will turn off as the contrast is no longer visible, and it won't drain your battery unnecessarily. You can manually turn off and on the sensor using the Options software. Here's a link to download it:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035270173-Download-Stub-MX-Keys-Wireless-Illuminated-Keyboard. Hope that this was helpful and that all is going well. I installed this along with the MX Master 3 mouse as an all inclusive set up. But I am going to focus on the Logitech MX Keys keyboard. The presentation first off is fantastic. There is minimal packaging and it is pretty much no frills when it comes to the packaging. It protects yet it is minimal in it’s design. In opening the box, you find the keyboard wrapped like a present and you see diagrams printed on the box itself. Smart! It’s pretty much a pictogram of what you need to do to set up your keyboard. For me I installed this keyboard first. I unplugged my old keyboard from my computer and then turned on the keyboard as instructed on the box. Next in the set up process is a tree to determine if you want to connect via bluetooth or the included unified USB receiver that Logitech does so well. I chose the unified USB receiver in this case. I then used the supplied usb-c cable and plugged it in to charge and you see a nice green led strobing slowly indicating charge status. This led also lets you know the battery status of the keyboard as well as a notification if you choose to select it in the Logitech software that I recommend to download to get all you can get out of this super feature packed keyboard. First, I have to mention that the keys are soft to touch and is quieter than my previous keyboard. Also something else to note, there are no prop up legs on this keyboard. There is a slight angle built into the keyboard, but no legs to pop open here. Also it’s a HEAVY keyboard. Surprisingly heavy based on how slim this looks. Maybe it’s the battery? Who knows, just note that you will not want to take this keyboard with you if you have a laptop. It’s not transport friendly in my opinion. I then went to the directed website to download the software, not because I recommend it, it is because you need it if you have a second or third Logitech device you want to connect to the unified USB receiver. In my case it was the MX Master 3 mouse. Once the software was installed, I was able to see the options in the keyboard and features that we can choose to use like the F1 keys vs the function keys. That is a cool option to have, however, I am old skool and need my F1 keys. The illumination on the keyboard is nice and subtle. I am in a well lit area, so I do not need it necessarily but its a cool feature to have. I do miss my RGB keyboard though, which was my previous keyboard of choice. Along with the basic features and the functions of the keyboard, in using it for a half day so far, I can say, it is a really responsive keyboard. My favorite feature? The lock key in the upper left side of the keyboard. No more Win+L!! LOVE this feature, especially if I have my hands full. Would I recommend this keyboard? Yes, most definitely! It’s a well made solid feeling keyboard that I can see using at a long stretches at a time. The cool minimal style is visually appealing as well and has that slight old keyboard from a typewriter era. I like that look. It’s a welcomed keyboard layout. Again, pair this with the MX Master 3 for the ultimate setup!

I really liked almost everything about this keyboard, but when I bought it, it stated that the battery was critically low. I thought, no big deal, I'll just change out the batteries. Then I find out you need to order a special battery and buy a special tool to remove the battery. Way too big of a pain. Logitech, keep it simple. A couple of AA or AAA batteries would be much better. I returned the keyboard due to this.

Hello, Justin! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the MX Keys keyboard. The MX Keys is fully rechargeable and should have come with a USB-C cable in the box to plug into your computer to charge the keyboard. Otherwise, any USB-C cable will work to charge the keyboard. Thank you for the feedback! - Maggie from Logitech

I received this keyboard and it is awesome. It paired with my desktop no issues very easy. and then pairing with my laptop as well just with the push of a button. Now I can just take it to my other computer push a button on the keyboard and start working. It is a heavy keyboard and great with the backlighting as well. although it is heavy it is made very well I expect to get lots of use out of this keyboard. Now there is no need to have separate keyboard with each computer I have The best part is no more batteries it is rechargeable with a USB C cable and it last for days depending on your use.

I usuasly like all Logitech products, but this one is an exception. It's small, it has too shallow keystrokes, missing a couple of important keys, and the backlit keyboard only stayes lit when you're typing; if you stop for a second to think of a word, it goes dark. Very irritating! I should have returned it but I kept trying to like it until it was too late. My mistake. At a price of +/- $90, you expect something really special. I'm going to replace it with a $25 one.

Does not work with Apple TV

After asking the question on Best Buy whether the MX Keys will work with my Apple TV and getting the answer that it would, I bought it based on the "expert" answer. Well, it refused to pair with my Apple TV. I contacted Logitech and they said it was not compatible. Grrr..... I guess I need to buy a few keyboards, try them out and return the ones that don't work. Not a good way to find out compatibility. My ratings below reflect the NON Apple TV qualities.

Hi Gadre, Very sorry to hear about the bad information you got with the MX Keys working with your Apple TV. There are a couple of keyboards we have that will work with your Apple TV. The K811 is specifically made for Apple products and will work with the Apple TV using Logitech's Easy Switch technology. There's also the K780, K380, and K375s. Hope that this helped and thank you for being a Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech

I love this keyboard. I prefer keyboards with low profile keys and this was perfect. It has the right amount of force when pressing. The ability to connect using Bluetooth is a plus because I was able to use with a tablet. The illumination is not overly bright but works well to see the keys. My favorite feature is it charges using a usb-c cable so I can use the same one as my phone. It charges pretty quickly and the battery life has been great between charges. This keyboard has been getting a lot of use.

      Hello RajkumarRam,
I am sorry to hear that you are running with Logitech Flow issues. As you may already know, using a VPN may affect the clipboard hint flow out/in between devices during the channel switch. Most times, allowing your VPN's local LAN access will solve this issue. If the problem persists, feel free to contact Logitech's support team https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393&mID=13325.

An internal screw came loose after ~2 years and it stopped working. It's past the warranty period so logitech supports answer was to "Please Recycle". How about you make a product that lasts more than 2 years and I wouldn't have to; maybe increase the price by $0.0000001 and put some loctite on next time.

This is an old, out dated model. For example, it has no cable or adapter to fit into a new iMAC, does not establish a connection that lasts more than the next re-start cycle. Worse, the lights on the keyboard turn on, but the keyboard locks up when you restart your iMAC. Nothing works except reconnecting the original Apple Keyboard.

This is a product I was excited to test. I charged it up and connected it and was very happy. The spacing on the keys seemed to be a little close, but after a few days I was used to it. I also like the number keypad as I use it a lot. The volume keys are also very convenient and used a lot. Then I was working from home and found out that the “F” keys are set to media by default. As a travel agent, the “F” keys are used as special functions when connected to a GDS (travel booking system). I lost my functionality. But after looking online I found that it will switch back to “F” key functionality of you hit fn + esc. Great news and now it is perfect. I love the backlighting on the keyboard. Sometimes I lose track of time and the light in my office is fading, but I can always see the keys. A real workhorse, it is still going strong after more than a year. Nice Velcro fastener on the charging cable. Just plug into your computer USB port to charge. You can use the keyboard while charging. Highly recommended.
