    The Real Deal

This keyboard is everything the positive reviews say that it is. It feels good, it's quiet, responsive, and looks great. It switches fast to three total devices. You just press one of the three buttons and it switches to that device. It's lightyears better than the Apple keyboard. There is one negative and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before there is a fix. On startup, my iMac won't recognize it. Once the computer boots up it's fine. I can see this would pose a problem if you have to enter a password upon startup. Other than that, it's perfect. This keyboard and the new MX mouse are a perfect combination.

Love the MX Keys. Use it for work and I cannot see myself without it. I use it with an M1 16” MBP and I have 0 lag. Wish I could say the same about my MX Master.

Really liking it and it reduced clutter on my desk by a lot. Battery life is good as long as backlight is turned off, but it is definitely on the pricey side.

It's not really a pc keyboard form factor, more like a laptop keyboard being used stand alone. Big plus for me is how heavy it is - by far the heaviest I've ever used, and it will never slide around on your desk. Besides all the usual documented plusses, the three device easy pair switching was the major selling point. I've never had it fail to pair with either older bluetooth or newer bluetooth computers, and never have had a failure to reconnect immediately upon system power up. The keystroke feel to me is very usable, even being used to old tactile type keyboards. But there are two negatives which lead to a point removal. Firstly, the keys are too too slippery - almost like they're coated in wd40. I'd much prefer a sandpaperry feel so that your home fingers don't slide around. Secondly, the lack of an included palm rest puts your hands in a difficult position compared to a real laptop or pc keyboard, and not including it with this expensive keyboard is a mistake. Look elsewhere for a quality wrist rest at half the price.

I was worried about the off concave curvature on the keys but found it to be extremely comfortable. I was able to adjust pretty quickly and find I make very few errors on this keyboard. I'm a full-time student that has to write lots of very long research papers, it's not abnormal to write multiple 10-18 page research papers throughout an academic year. I have no concern about using this keyboard, I've been using it for a few days and have written a few short essays on it. Very comfortable, would recommend. The backlight coming on when you bring your hands up to type is a pretty awesome feature too.

Ok. This thing is beautiful, it feels very nice and built quality is outstanding. You can tell the materials is best quality. The pressing down key feel is a combination of plush and sturdy and spring back up does feel like it's got force. Here's the thing, the functions is very basic, like old school IBM keyboards. By now, most are more familiar with keyboards with additional multimedia key functions. I'm assuming this keyboard can do multimedia functions with key combinations, but I did not played with it enough before returning it to find out. If you are ok with basic functions with something that looks and feels like a Rolls-Royce, then buy it. If additional keys is a plus for you, then you may find the $99 price as not making sense.
