Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went back and forth between the Apple majic keyboard mini with Touch ID and this Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. I initially bought the Apple, and I loved it, but I really missed having a backlighted keyboard. So I bought the Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac. I bought it for the backlighted keyboard, and also the ability to mute myself right from the keyboard when I’m in zoom meetings every day. But, . . . With white keys, any time except actual night time, the keys virtually disappear, so backlighting on white keys is a useless feature any time except at night time in the dark. So that feature is a deal breaker, as so many reviews have noted. I can’t believe Logitech did this, especially when their ads clearly show a Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac with black keys that make sense. If only they would release this keyboard with black keys like they show in their ads. But the other reason I bought this was the ability to mute myself from the keyboard, But, . . . It doesn’t work most of the time. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but this is also very disappointing. So bottom line, is that if you’re interested in this keyboard with these features in mind, I cannot recommend it. I’ll probably return it, and go back to the Apple magic keyboard mini. If Logitech releases the Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac with black keys, I’ll buy it in a minute, even if the mute feature doesn’t work, but not until then.

But this keyboard is, in my opinion, better by far. I like this keyboard VERY MUCH, Particularly the light-up option. And it is less expensive. Whoever you are, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Super happy with the decision! I don’t think you can go wrong other way, but we much preferred the features on this one!

Posted .Great choice with the MX Keys Mini for your daughter's typing practice! It offers more features than the Apple Magic Keyboard, like tactile keys and backlight. Let her try both if possible.
Better than Apples own keyboard

The only issue I have with this is that it does not come in different colors specifically a space grey/black color that is available for the larger model with the number pad. If the color works for you and you have a mac this keyboard is a solid buy.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the keyboard and how it feels when typing but the MAJOR thing to point out for the iMac at least that you are not able to get it connected right after starting it up to type your password because it doesn't allow bluetooth connections, same for the mx anywhere 3 mouse. So you have to login using a different keyboard which is annoying to do or you have to turn off your Filevault on the iMac to enable the Bluetooth connection on start up which I am unsure about doing.

I bought this keyboard to carry in my Backpack as I can Bluetooth it to my Surface / iPad / and anything else I need too when on the go. Makes typing more comfortable when traveling.
