Customers frequently mention the premium feel, amazing battery life, and responsive keys of the MX Mechanical Mini keyboard. Many appreciate its compact size, making it ideal for travel, and find it easy to use and connect to multiple devices. While some find the price a bit high, the positive feedback on the typing experience and features outweighs this concern for most users. The keyboard's weight is noted by some, but generally considered acceptable given its build quality.

If you’re looking for a small keyboard, I highly recommend this. It’s the perfect size, and the price is definitely worth the quality. It’s a little heavier than most keyboards (but nothing crazy) it lights up only when you’re typing, and is chargeable (so no more batteries). It’s also very high tech looking. Just be aware that it doesn’t have a key pad on the side, only numbers along the top. If you prefer this this may not be the product for you, but I personally don’t mind it.

Hard to Recommend, and a lot of Compromises

Let's start with the good. It's a slim, 75% layout mechanical keyboard, with some decent, if not particularly awe-inspiring, low-profile tactile mechanical switches. The backlight, while only white, is still bright, even, and not harsh or with a ton of leakage.
Typing is no frills, but enjoyable. The brown switches have a slight tactile bump, and though it's not very pronounced, it is noticeable and would make someone who's only ever typed on membrane or scissor style boards very comfortable.
Let's get to the bad.
The plastic bottom case makes the whole thing feel light, and not in a good way. Top be honest, the whole unit feels a little cheap, which is ironic, given how much this thing costs.
You only get one backlight color (white), which is something of a letdown at this price point.
The key switches are not hot-swappable, which I knew before buying, but it's still disappointing (and completely in line with Logitech's 'pay more, get less' motto) to see in something this expensive.
Lastly, connectivity. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why Logitech decided to provide the device with USB-C charging, but opted not to allow wired connections. You have bluetooth, which is great, and you get a bolt USB reciever, which is... fine, I guess? But it would have cost nothing to let you use this thing wired. This, more than anything else, is what drives me nuts about this. There's a lot to like, but there's an equal amount of stuff that makes me scream "AVOID!!!"
For example. the Nuphy air75 is similarly sized mechanical keyboard, with hot-swappable switches, wired connections in addition to BT, and has an all metal body. It's actually about 35 dollars CHEAPER than the MX mechanical.
IF you wanted to go cheaper, the Keychron K1, K3, or K7 all offer low-profile options, with a ton of options, and can price as low as 80 dollars.
tl;dr - unless you're a die-hard Logitech fan (why?), It's hard to recommend this keyboard to anyone, when there's so many better options out there that may not have the brand recognition, but also offer better features at better prices.

I got this for school but I've been using it for gaming and other things. The keys feel amazing to type on and its super compact. The amount of things that this keyboard is able to do actually surprised me! Something small that it does is when your hands are away the back lighting turns off, however when your hands come back closer the lights turn back on without even touching the keys. Overall, i will be keeping this and using it for many different things!

Great Mini Keyboard

Great Keyboard. I regularly use a Corsair k100 Air and this keyboard comes in as a close second with a far cheaper price point and way smaller to boot. The typing experience is, in my opinion, quite nice. The sound is satisfying and if you have a heavy type, it can be quite loud, but if you are a softer typer and do not work too closely with others, I imagine this keyboard would do just fine. If you work in a cubicle or somewhere with a large open office, it would probably be annoying to some even with the tactile brown switches.

Great work keyboard for use with tablet

I purchased this to use with my tablet while on the road. It is small enough to drop into my work bag, and connects to the tablet very easily, which is exactly what I wanted it to do. It is very easy to use! I wouldn't have any other keyboard for traveling for work. The only "con" I can think of is that it doesn't have a place to store the little USB key on the keyboard when not in use so that it isn't lost.

Excellent compact keyboard!
I use my compact keyboard and mouse on a mousepad-covered 18in x 14in thin panel of wood placed on my lap. That way, I barely have to move my right hand to move between the keyboard and the mouse, and my arms are in a very natural position while working. I've been using compact membrane switch keyboards for decades because they had total width and key layout I prefer, whereas most out-of-the box mechanical keyboards (especially compact gaming keyboards like the Logitech - G PRO TKL Wired Mechanical) do not.
I have been agonizing for years about which compact mechanical keyboard to buy because other offerings had keyboard dimensions that were a too wide due to positioning the arrow keys group to the right of all other keys (a waste of space IMO) or with key layouts that exclude the top row of function keys, separate the home/end or page up/down keys, or have the delete key somewhere other than the upper-right corner. Of course, these are all preferences, and those preferences could be addressed by building my own customizable keyboard from a kit. But it all seemed like too much work, especially when it came time to choose which key switch branch and type to use.
This model's "tactile switch" variant is acceptably quiet and the typing experience is superior to that of the compact membrane switch keyboards I've been using for work all these years.
My only substantive criticism is that this keyboard's USB-C connector can *only* be used for power not data, i.e. all keyboard data is transmitted wirelessly via bluetooth or the included mini-dongle. If I were a hyper-security wonk, the absence of a wired-only connection would be a deal breaker. If Logitech had merely supported a wired-only mode to this premium wireless keyboard, I would have said it was darn near perfect.
Logitech, please support a wired-only mode (at least for PC/MAC via existing USB-C) on this wireless keyboard to attain perfection :)

Love this keyboard. I type a lot so having something comfortable to type on makes my life easier. Battery life is great, backlit keys are great, and responsiveness after coming out of sleep is great. Get the tactile linear one. The other two are either too mushy or too click. Middle child is perfect.

I have very limited desk space so this was a perfect keyboard for my needs. It is the perfect size, the keys feel great (at least to me), and was very easy to set up.
I am removing one star for what would have been a 5 star review because it developed a bad battery after its second charge and would only work if plugged it. Exchanged it for another one and life is good again.
I would highly recommend it but keep the box around for a while for just in case.

This has been my go to mechanical keyboard for work and home. I’m someone that loves getting a different keyboard every month (it feels like) and typing on something new quite often. This has been my main keyboard since I purchased it 1 year ago.
Sure, I still swap out keyboards every so often simply because that’s how I am, but I always return to my MX tactile mechanical for longer periods of time. The seamless transition between home and work machines (remote work) make this keyboard that much better.
I don’t see myself deviating from this Logitech board anytime soon. After 1 year it still feels like it did the day I bought it.

Kailh brown switches (tactile) feel great to type on and have a pretty satisfying thock sound in my opinion. I bought it for use with a tablet (Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra) while traveling and it played its role very well. Probably not the best compact mech keyboard I'll ever own, but for a pre-build I'm happy with it. I imagine it would be hard to find one better than this though if you prioritize a sleek, minimal, unassuming "business" look. Only complaint would be that it's a bit pricier than I would've liked, but I didn't have the luxury of waiting for a sale when I bought it. If I found it for $30-$40 off (~$90-$100) it would be hard to pass on, and pretty unbeatable for what you get at that price. Recommended.

The Logitech MX Mechanical Mini Compact Wireless Keyboard offers a compelling blend of compact design, mechanical tactile switches, and wireless functionality. The mini layout is ideal for those seeking portability without sacrificing typing experience. The mechanical switches provide a satisfying tactile feel, enhancing typing speed and accuracy.
The inclusion of backlit keys adds versatility, allowing users to work seamlessly in various lighting conditions. The compatibility with both Windows and macOS platforms broadens its appeal. However, users accustomed to full-sized keyboards might take time to adjust to the condensed layout.
The sleek graphite finish adds a touch of sophistication to the overall design. Despite its compact form, the Logitech MX Mechanical Mini delivers a robust and comfortable typing experience, making it an excellent choice for on-the-go professionals or those with limited desk space.

My keyboard endgame, with minor flaws

I've purchased more keyboards in the past two years than I can count on one hand, including the MX Keys, MX Keys Mini, and now this MX Mechanical Mini. I'm on a keyboard for nearly the entire work day, so I’m always discovering something that my fingers aren’t happy with. That said, I think this new mechanical is my keyboard endgame.
The layout of the MX Mechanical Mini is just about perfect. Most importantly, all of the keys are full-size, and it includes the column of keys for del, home, end, pg up and down keys, which I use regularly. By contrast, the full layout of the MX Keys was too big (the num pad contributed to shoulder pain from reaching for my trackball), and the too-compact layout of the MX Keys Mini had those silly mini arrow keys and was missing the navigation keys.
As far as the low-profile tactile mechanical switches in the MX Mechanical go, I was pleasantly surprised that my fingers were fine with the amount of travel compared to the lowest-profile Perfect Stroke keys of the MX Keys/Mini. I thought they might contribute to more fatigue and errors, but neither have been an issue after a week of use. It’s a very close second to the MX Keys/Mini, but these low-profile mechanical switches are close enough that I can adapt just fine.
Noise level is very acceptable. In fact, to me it’s not as offensive as the MX Keys/Mini. All of the large keys are well-dampened and stabilized so they have a satisfying “thunk” as opposed to a high-pitched “tick” as with the Keys/Mini.
Connectivity is excellent. This is why I prefer this keyboard to other wireless mechanical keyboards I’ve tried in the past. Bluetooth pairing is immediate and rock solid. The Bolt option is even better.
As for shortcomings, the biggest is the short-lived coating used on the keys. After one forty-ish-hour week, some of the keys are already showing wear and shine. The MX Keys/Mini coating is a lot more durable. Also not ideal is the less responsive backlighting compared to the MX Keys. It seems like much more movement is required to activate the backlight motion sensor. And there’s a longer delay as well. None of those issues are big in my mind, and I can look past them.
Now, if Logitech came out with a Perfect Stroke keyboard with the same layout as the Mechanical Mini, then I might have to reconsider, but for now I think this is my favorite keyboard out of the seven or eight I’ve tried in the past two years.
PS. Hey, Logitech, if you’re listening, make replacement key caps available for these new mechanical keyboards. :)
