I got UCL repair surgery on my right thumb and my therapist suggested an ergonomic mouse. This is a very good product except that it was a little big for my hand so I got the smaller version MX Lift Vertical.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're thrilled to hear that the product is working well for you and meeting your expectations. Your feedback helps us continue to improve and innovate. We truly appreciate your support of Logitech.

Good Ergo Mouse, but Pricey and Tips Over

I've been using this mouse as a primary mouse and it's very comfortable. The mouse looks nice, has good software support and features, but is pricey.
Compatibility: It works well on both PC and Mac. I was using Logitech gaming mouse previously and those don't have drivers available on Mac OS 11 (Big Sur), so you didn't have the ability to customize the mouse, adjust the cursor speed, etc.
Ergonomics: I got this because I have a sit and stand desk and when I'm standing, a regular mouse was a bit uncomfortable to have your hand move around flat after a while, but I found with the MX vertical, it's much more comfortable.
Features: The backwards and forward buttons work well and I found the button on top used for controlling the 2 settings for mouse movement comes in handy. I found that sometimes slower mouse tracking speed is useful for tasks where you need more accuracy and having a button to slow down the cursor helps. The fact that the mouse is rechargeable using a USB-C interface is nice, but for $100, I probably would've expected a dock for that price. On and off switch is good for when you're not using it to save battery. Multi device support is nice to have, but the switch is at the bottom; would've been nice to have this at the top, especially if you use the mouse on multiple devices.
What can be improved: $100 for a mouse is pricey. There are other ergo wireless mice out there for much cheaper, but they don't have the software support and elegant design that Logi has. The bottom can be weighted better. I tend to tip over the mouse when I'm reaching for things, then it hits buttons on my keyboard. If they added a little more weight to the base, I think that would prevent that from happening. Since it's light weight plastic, it doesn't make it feel like a $100 product. Not sure if a heavier mouse would impact the glide.

I really really like this mouse. If you spend your days clicking away at spreadsheets this mouse really eliminates a lot of hand fatigue. The charge lasts for days and you can still use it while charging.
Thank you for the enthusiastic recommendation of the Logitech MX Vertical Advanced Wireless Optical Ergonomic Mouse! We're thrilled to hear it’s been a game-changer for reducing hand fatigue during those long spreadsheet sessions. It’s great to know the long-lasting charge and ability to use it while charging are working well for you! We appreciate your feedback and are glad you're loving the mouse. Thanks for choosing Logitech!

Overall an excellent mouse but expensive

Fits well in my hand, pairs nicely with my laptop and desktop via dongle (I've been a user of Logitch wireless mice and keyboards for many years and am used to their dongle and software). Have not had a need to re-charge battery since initial charge but it has only been 1 month. Switching from one pc to another is a simple pressing of a button on bottom of mouse. Mouse moves easily and I find that my hand motion is less than with conventional mouse. Pointer speed (default rate) works for me but can be easily changed with press of a button on the top of the mouse. Overall an excellent mouse, just a bit too expensive.

Great comfortable mouse. Completely customizable and easy to use between 3 seperate sources. I use it seamlessly between my office and personal laptop. You can easily change the pointer speed as well to allow you to do detailed oriented work when needed. Also having a rechargeable battery using a usb c cord is great, no more wasted batteries. Premium product but it does cost a premium as well. Taking one star off as there are other vertical mice out there with similar qualities for a fraction of the price.

Nice ergonomic shape with the ability to use with Bluetooth or a wireless USB dongle. The mouse charges via USB C and lasts quite a while on a single charge. You can use Logitech's app to customize certain aspects of the mouse's functionality but it works fine out of the box.
I purchased this for my mom who's arthritic and she likes it.

I haven't really had a bad experience with Logitech devices, and this was no exception. I was excited to try it, because I use computers a lot, and this claims to reduce strain on the hand, providing greater comfort over time, while not slowing you down. This does what it's advertised to do without question. It is an adjustment to use to at that angle, what they refer to on the package as the 'natural handshake position', but then it quickly becomes more comfortable to maneuver from that position. It can be used with the usual nano USB receiver or with a USB cable (both are included), but also can connect via bluetooth for any computer capable of that option. I haven't used it for long, but I can already feel the difference in my hand and wrist just in the time I have been using it.

Buy it. Worth the extra cost over some other mice.

Overall I like everything about this product. There is a noticable reduction in strain in my wrist and shoulder using this over a traditional flat mouse. Responsiveness is great. Battery lasts a very long time, plus it's rechargeable. Feel and quality, plus everything else is great. I actually have no complaints! With Logitechs software it's also simple to setup too of you need to combine it with another receiver.

If you have medium to large hands and are experiencing pain in your wrist, arm, or elbow from extended computer use on a daily basis, this should be your first stop in finding a solution.
I use this on the right side of my keyboard and an Apple Magic Trackpad II on the left for gestures like pinch to zoom, swiping between desktops, and scrolling. Because of this, the lack of smooth scrolling, such as that on my previous mouse the MX Master 3, doesn't bother me at all. It's the best of both worlds and I have tried a wide variety of products at most price points.
Get from Best Buy so you can go in and see if you hand is the right size to reach the buttons comfortably with the middle resting between the base of the thumb and palm.
I use this setup with three screens, my primary 34" @ 20" (3440 x 1440 Resolution), a 27" 2k, and my MacBook Pro 15". Tracking accurate and fast. No issues or sadness coming from the MX Master 3.
Now I use the MX Master 3 for my "off VPN" Windows laptop and it's a pleasure since I don't use it for the 8+ hours a day of coding, writing, and design in my home office. Tracking on glass was oka for both in brief sessions but throwing down a sheet of semi permanent adhesive matte vinyl was still way better for tracking throughout the day.
Bonus points for USB C charging so my Apple Magic Keyboard w/keypad, Magic Trackpad II, and Logi MX Vertical (all in Space Grey) can charge easily from a single cable when required.
Logitech Options software that works across systems is really great and one of the main reasons I wanted to stick with this brand.
That's excellent news! Thank you for the 100% recommendation and kind words regarding the Logitech MX Vertical Advanced Wireless Ergonomic Mouse. We're delighted to know you find it to be an excellent product that is very easy to use!

Perfect desk position required*

Like I said in one of my other mouse reviews, a mouse is kind of like a fancy glove. You really have to try them on to see the fit. The Logitech MX Vertical is one of those mice that you really need to try in your normal working position.
The MX Vertical has a very interesting angle to it and in a perfect positioned desk, it does relieve pressure on your wrist from the normal angle of a standard mouse. The grip is quite comfortable and the whole mouse is extremely light. It glides really smooth on a flat surface and the added capability to adjust the DPI makes it so that the smallest of movement can move quite far. With having three ways to connect, you can also connect to three different computers and switch between them with a click of a button.
With that though, I found that the weight of controlling the mouse was moved from the wrist to my forearm which leads to the “perfect positioned desk” above. If you are slightly higher or lower than level with the mouse, it really becomes more strain on the arm in general. In some positions I felt like I was trying to grip the mouse too much, in others I couldn’t move down without moving my whole arm. The grip position is also something that will take some getting used to, especially if you use the forward/backward buttons above the thumb a fair bit as I felt like I was letting go of the mouse just to click them.
Now, I’m not saying this is a bad mouse. Just that is has to be a very specific position in order to get the “10% reduction in muscular strain” that it mentions. Pretty much exactly as you see it on the back of the box. If you don’t have a properly positioned desk like that, then this mouse will cause more pain than relief.

What an excellent product!
All my hand and wrist, discomfort and pain are gone. Before using this mouse, I had very noticeable pain in my hand & wrist, from working extended hours on my computer.
My job requires me to use the mouse quite a bit.
Ever since I stopped using the regular mouse, it started using this one, I’m totally at peace.
Sometimes I go back and use the smaller, regular mice, and think how did I ever put up with this all these years?
We're thrilled to hear that the MX Vertical Advanced has made such a positive impact on your comfort and productivity. It's fantastic to know that it's alleviated your hand and wrist pain. Thank you for choosing Logitech and sharing your experience!

By far the best mouse I have ever had. Very relaxing for the the wrist. It is customizable and very easy to handle. No need to change battery as you can recharge it. The only thing I would say is that it might not be very suitable for people with small hands.

I bought this because I have carpal tunnel and my hands hurt all the time. The way this mouse is made and the way it wraps around my hand is heaven. It is super responsive, easy to maneuver and most of all so comfortable to use. By the end of my sometimes 12 hour shifts, I am not as tired and I am definitely not as sore as I used to be. Highly recommend!
It’s always a pleasure to hear from satisfied users. Thanks for sharing your experience—it helps us keep doing what we love.

Have a few of these. I hate the silly integrated rechargeable batteries that need a charge every month. The generic AA powered wireless vertical mice I had lasted for a year. So that is unfortunate, but the mouse itself is truly ergonomic, very responsive, connect to three devices, easy to use, perfect click and scroll, a really flawless mouse. Just wish it was not integrated rechargeable.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're glad to hear that you appreciate the ergonomic design and performance of the MX Vertical. Your input is invaluable as we continue to improve our products.

Bluetooth, buttons and usability are all top notch. The construction and styling are good. I charged it when I bought it a month ago and still haven't had to charge it.
As far as the ergonomics, my wrist no longer hurts after long sessions using this mouse. There is a little time needed to get used to this style of holding.

Love my new wireless mouse! It works really well and feels so much better on my wrist. I would reccomend this to others who have carpal tunnel or wrist issues.
