Got it for a MacBook Pro I just bought and it connects and works flawlessly. Would recommend. Though there may be a bit more value if it was about $5 cheaper. But nonetheless, still works great!

Worth every penny , the best thing is you don’t need chip to connect to Macbook just plug batteries and connect it. I also recommend to install logi app for more good options.
