Unfortunately I returned this product and bought a different one. The keyboard was fine but when you closed your ipad and moved it around it would turn the ipad on and drain my charge. It was not a very smart keyboard case. I like my replacement much better.

I am a fan of Logitech, but this keyboard was really disappointing. The keyboard came loose from the case in about 10 days time. I didn't exchange, but rather tried a different brand.

Bought this keyboard/case along with my iPad Air and it was a great decision. The case keeps my iPad protected when not in use and the keyboard makes typing much easier than trying to type on the glass. You will enjoy the comfort if you are replying to emails or browsing the web. Only downside, and this has nothing to do with the quality of the product, is the size. Since the footprint of the iPad is smaller than a laptop like a MacBook, the keys will be a little tight. It took a little time to get a feel for the smaller space and to not over reach a key. Other than that, the Bluetooth connections is fast and power lasts a long time. Highly recommend due to the increased functionality over the plain covers by Apple.

This is a great complement to the iPad Air. It provides some protection, though that is not the main reason for using this product. If protection is your only concern, look at an Otterbox or Survivor case. The main benefit of this is being able to use a physical keyboard. It connects very nicely, the auto on/off always works, and the bluetooth always pairs up quickly. The battery life is very good. But the main thing is that the keyboard has a nice tactile feel to it and after a little adjustment time (it's not quite full size) I'm quite accurate with it. My only issue is that the number row isn't where my fingers expect it (seems just a tad more to the right than where my mind/fingers expect), so that about half the time when intending to hit the number "1" key I instead hit the Esc/Home key which is just to the left of it. It doesn't really hurt anything since the programs I use (Pages, Word) the most continually auto-save. For some reason my brain just refuses to adjust to that. Other than that minor quirk I love it. However, I recommend you go to BB and check out the displays of the keyboard cases to determine what size, style, brand seems to have the best feel for you. I was thinking of getting a soft touch model but after trying it out in the store I realized I needed something with real tactile feedback.

The previous one I had needing replacing because I broke the spine by bending it too far back. It did not require pairing as this one does.

I almost did not buy this product because of the reviews stating that the brace on the corner broke, While I was going to purchase the Zagg product, it only allows you to use your ipad in the upright position. The sales person talked me in to this product because of that particular shortcoming of the Zagg product. Just as all of the reviews had indicated, on the 30th day of use, while cleaning the screen of my ipad, the corner brace near the power button on the ipad snapped, Fortunately Best Buy exchanged it without any problems. Also, when I returned it, the price was $10 less, so I went ahead and purchased the 2 year protection plan. On the positive side, the convenience of the keyboard and bluetooth connectivity are great additions to the already convenient ipad. It has fantastic battery life as well. Logitech obviously has a design issue that needs to be corrected given the number of users that have experienced the same exact problem. You would think that this will be corrected. Overall it is a very handy product, and given the ability to read and use the ipad when the cover is flipped in reverse is a plus that no other product being sold by Best Buy can offer. If they would add back-light to the keys and fix the design issue it would really be exceptional.

Great touch, very easy to type on. I have to admit that I am not thrilled with the light grey exterior color (it almost looked dirty right out of the box), but since it was nearly half the price of the other color options, I will get used to it. I do love the grey interior and shiny keyboard, though, so overall I am happy. The magnets all work well, to keep the case closed as well as hold the iPad in place when set to an upright viewing angle. Auto shut-off works consistently. The charging cable is a little short, but so far that's minor annoyance. I can't speak to durability as I just got it, but it FEELS well made, so we'll see. No issues charging or holding a signal, good layout for fast typing. So glad I no longer have to use the onscreen keyboard. All in all I consider this a GREAT purchase!

    Highly useful

I wanted 1. a keyboard case, and 2. tablet protection front and back. I got both. Experience shows the case is both anti-slip and -skid (which is part of protection); is easy to carry and to set up. Holds tablet well, especially when closed. Nits include: when keyboard is folded under, the tablet doesn't lie flat. but canted to the left. Keyboard works only in landscape mode; case only props tablet in one landscape position. (It cannot be waterproof because the sides of the case remain open, which should be obvious!) Light color shows smudges. Case should protect the tablet from drops (because its edges extend well out from the iPad) as long as it doesn't pop open (there are no latches, only magnets). Of course, it adds a lot of weight.

Exactly what I was looking for

I was looking for a keyboard case that was thin and light so that I could carry it with me in my purse wherever I went. Tried the Kensington keyboard case, but it felt very cheap. For the same price, I was able to get this one which was of better quality than the latter. On top of that, it was one of the only cases that I could find that came in another color besides black.

Great Keyboard Case--with a little tweaking

After reading many reviews online, I had gone to Best Buy to purchase the Logitech Fabric Skin. But after looking & touching both the Fabric Skin & Ultrathin Keyboard Folios, I felt that the Fabric Skin might stain like it would with fabric, and I didn't like the way the fabric felt kind of loose on the keyboard. On the Ultrathin, I really like the material it is made of; it felt smooth & velvety. The red color look & felt like my Apple Smart case on my previous iPad 4. So even though I went to BB to buy the Fabric Skin, I ended up purchasing the Ultrathin. I was disappointed with how the auto sleep/wake didn't work on the new Ultrathin case after I got it home. I've read many reviews that feature didn't work on the case, but I read an equal number that it works for them. I was hoping that the batch at BB works, but it didn't. However, I did a little more research online & found that some cases' magnets are not lined up with the iPad; therefore, the case was not turning off when closing the case. After playing with it, I was finally able to get my case to auto sleep & wake if I close the case, then move the bottom right corner of cover a little bit to the left. Surprisingly, this makes an auto shut off sound, then the iPad turns off! There are still couple of things I need to get used to: I consistently type the numbers 1-6 and the '&' wrong. But right now, I'm tickle pink that the case's auto sleep & wake feature works! I might go back to BB to see if I can find a case that the auto shut off works without having to move the cover because when you spend $100, you just shouldn't have to do that. Also, I will look at the Fabric Skin again because so many reviewers like that keyboard case much better. Hope this review helps others to get the auto sleep/wake to work!

Work well if you can overlook...

It is easy to fit (and remove) the iPad Air into the top cover. The magnetic strip in the bottom to hold the iPad in position for typing is an interesting idea. Please note that this not ideal as the screen is "wiggly". Every bump, like in an airplane, cause the screen to move. Good: I do think this is good protection for the iPad and typing is a breeze as long as you don't try to use the tab key. Questionable: Very thin plastic - not worth $99 as there are aluminum ones coming for the same price. For $65 or $70 it would be a no brainer.

Bought a Snugg keyboard/cover for the same price and it lasted about 2 months before the case cracked at the hinge and bluetooth took about 3 letters before it kicked in. This Logitech works perfectly and is everything I was looking for. Wish it had been available in my closest store but drove another 10 miles to pick it up.

I exchanged 2 Folio cases from another brand with light up keys for this one. I like that it gives you the ability to use it flat aka "browsing mode" or "lay flat" mode. The keys are not bad, but not having a dedicated tab key can be frustrated when filling out forms. I also wish the tablet would automatically lock the screen when you shut it, but it does not. Pretty sad that it does not take advantage of that feature, but it is not a deal breaker. I am happy with the overall quality and glad it does not have a hinge like the one I had prior that broke twice.

    Your iPad will fall out

My iPad fell out of this case after the plastic piece on top broke. It literally had a crack where the button is to wake/lock the iPad. I have never dropped the thing. not even bumped. In fact only used it for about 2 or 3 weeks when this happened. I called the manufacturer (it comes with a 1 year warranty) and they sent me a new one - I even got to pick the color. And guess what? It happened again!! It's just a bad design. I do not recommend this model. For the price that should not happen. Also the Keyboard is a little awkward since the A key is also the cap lock key and can be a bit weird when you place your hand on it. Kinda feels like your left hand is over to the left more than usual becuase the A key is longer, like a shift key. I really tried to make this work for me. I give it two stars because they keyboard is ok. It works, and the customer service was ok. Do not buy this.

I am not a big review writer but thought of writing one for this product as I struggled with me decision based on previous reviews. I tried ZAGG and did not like it. It was thick and increased the bulkiness considerably. The Logitech is great as it is thin and very functional. The keyboard is something to get used too but not a problem at all. The light color is good (I have a grey) as it does not show dust or dirt. About the breaking of the case from the past reviews, it may have been a bad piece. A definite good buy.

Purchased my Logitech iPAD Air keyboard in 2014. Used is a few times and the left corner clip broke. SInce it's plastic is not very reliable. Just sent Logitech a support ticket 8/11/2015 requesting they replace the keyboard. Hope they will since I really like it.

    Not Quite Ready

The Logitech Ultraslim has some great points--it is slim, it protects the screen, it folds back for on-screen keyboard use. It has a very nice look and feel. Unfortunately the power-button clip is poorly designed and the plastic used is inadequate for the job it has been tasked. The thinness of the tab causes it to break with amazing ease, appears to be at small fault lines in the plastic grain. Logitech needs to go back and re-engineer the power-button clip to provide more durability and/or change materials. The keyboard itself has a nice feel, but the lack of a dedicated TAB key is a bit annoying for filling out forms or sign-ins. This is perhaps a necessary sacrifice to make the keys of useful size, but it is still annoying. The clip design, however is inexcusable and the only reason I would not recommend this otherwise good product.
