For the money I spent on this product ($14.99) I am pleased with these speakers. The audio is nice and clear, but does get a little distorted when played on max level. For 10 watts it does sound pretty good though. It can connect to pretty much any device that has a 3.5mm audio jack. I tested it and hooked it up to my PC, my PS4, laptop, tablet and smartphone and all hooked up well and sounded good. I even played Battlefield 1 with these speakers on a small 22" PC monitor setup and it sounded pretty good, however it is not Dolby surround and is just regular stereo quality. Now for the minor setbacks. Size wise, I wasn't expecting these speakers to be as big as they are, but they do look pretty good. Also, there are no speaker grills or coverings to shield the speakers from punctures or other damages. So caution must be used when handling these speakers. For 10 watts I personally think these speakers don't need a power supply to put out that must wattage, but that's just me. With that said it does come with a power supply you have to plug into a wall jack for it to work. Also the bass control isn't the best either. You really can't tell a difference whether the bass control is turned all the way up or not so I think it's a feature that really makes no difference. The length of the speaker cables too might be a issue. They're not the longest cables being they're about 3ft in length. For me it wasn't a issue, but for others this might be. Other than that these speakers look good as they sound. It's a upgrade from any monitor or TV speakers and like I said they can connect to any device that supports a 3.5mm audio jack. It's a good buy if your'e looking to upgrade your monitor or TV speakers.

    Uneven Sound

I used to have the Logitech Speakers Z213 that lasted me just over a year before the left satellite speaker just stopped working. I then decided to buy these Logitech Speakers Z200 and as soon as I set them up I noticed the left speaker was louder than the right. Even after adjusting several settings in Windows mixer and following some online tips, the problem still persisted. I'm not a very picky person but the uneven sound bothers me because these are brand new speakers. A small problem but still a problem. Putting the uneven sound aside, these speakers sound just fine, no other complaints really except that there really isn't a whole lot of bass. These are perfect if you just need a set of speakers for casual everyday use (i.e. playing music, watching youtube videos, and maybe an episode of your favorite tv show). These speakers get the job done and for the price it's a decent buy. HOWEVER, I am concerned that Logitech Speakers in general are not your best choice when it comes to computer speakers, seeing that I have had issues with different models of their speakers. Also a quick google search will show that many others have had the same issue of either one satellite speaker being louder or softer or just not working among their various models of speakers. Based on the other positive reviews, I'm sure that experiencing these problems puts you in the minority, but be wary.

A friend was staying with me and got these for temporary use and it seemed OK when they were sitting right next to her face with the output audio of her laptop but after only a couple months they were put back on the shelf until one day I asked to use them because this speaker out of one of my synthesizers wasn’t working and not only did I then instantly realize how really horrible the frequency response is as in they don’t sound good they don’t get loud and they’re really lightweight and cheap I then noticed that the wire connecting the back of the unit to the power was was falling off on two out of three of the spots so back in the box they sit… They’re still usable and I guess if someone needs something and is not an audio snob and he’s going to be using them really quietly to listen to talk radio then they’re fine but if there’s any other noise in the room you can’t hear anything and I swear I have five dollar earbud headphones that are practically louder than that when I just rest them on my shoulders they were cheap and available in that moment but I think they were like $30 and that’s a lot. Again I can get things at the gas station that are the size of a Silverdollar that sound better than these… Also just way too delicate should’ve just gotten one little cheap Bluetooth speaker but oh well

    So far..basically perfection!

Bought these earlier today. Had an almost 10 year pair of Phillips desktop speakers that I loved and would've gladly kept indefinitely. Perfect combo of bass, treble, balance etc...Had a total output of 80 watts. This Logitech set sound basically as good in every way yet has only 10 watts! lol Yes, I am DEF kind of an audio snob/perfectionist lol when it comes to my music, MP3s etc.. One of the old speakers finally gassed out so even though I could've just rolled w/ one of them, decided to toss 'em even though $ is tight now. Bought then returned 2 other speaker sets before finding these. Appears to be a gem (quality wise and the *price). Best Buy has been on a mega roll with me lately. Best deals in town and online for some recent purchases! Anyway, didn't feel/hear that 'instant' love w/ the other 2 speaker sets, One of them was actually another Logitech speaker set and more expensive. Problem was the sub-woofer w/ 50 watts created WAY too much intense bass for my needs. Almost off the chart and blew me away lol. Even w/ making 'sound adjustments', just didn't click for me. Those are probably better/meant more for a home theater sound system or whatever- not a small computer table used for casual use for mainly MP3s and You Tube-ish things. The moment I took them out of the box, looked at them, plugged it in (all effortless) and played my first songs, was basically 100% sure it was a keeper. Some are saying they're a bit 'too big'. Kind of see it but it's a non issue for me. Very sleek and cool looking, lightweight, not cumbersome. My older speakers were unfortunately even though they were about the same size as these. Final verdict. Long as things stay the same tomorrow, next week and especially much longer, these feel like a 5 star keeper at a fantastic price! $20/$21 that easily sound/ feel like they're worth double or even triple. :)

    The lowest of the low...

Let me give a little bit of a background here. (Skip this paragraph if you want to read the review part) I've been using Cyber Acoustics CA-3090 speakers for over 5 years now. The plastic speaker bubbles are dented, the knob has to be on full volume or the sound only plays on 1 of the 2 speakers, and one of them doesn't even have a stand anymore; It lays on its side since it broke off. I've long been overdue for a replacement set, and at $25, I decided I'd finally get some use out of my Best Buy gift cards. When I bought my previous speakers in 2011, they went for about $30, so I figured I would get about the same quality with these that I already had, an assumption which I later regretted. One of the reasons I decided on these was because they didn't have a bulky sub-woofer attachment, but these speakers are enormous. There's barely room on my desk for these things. In addition, the sound quality is terrible. I'm not an audio snob, and I've never used high-end audio systems. Even so, I could tell how bad the audio on these is. Everything coming out of them sounds muffled, like I'd taken a towel and thrown it over the speakers. I tried to use them for a couple weeks, but after a session of using them where the terrible quality of the speakers stood out (they really can't do bass very well) I disconnected them and re-connected my half-broken, 5-year-old speakers. In short, unless you're going to be using these for a party full of loud, drunk people who wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway, I'd pass on these. There are other cheap speakers with much better quality, and these are terrible even for the price. The only reason they don't get 1 star is because they worked without any technical issues.

Amazing Sound Quality for a Great Price!

I needed a set of speakers that wouldn't break the bank and wouldn't take up too much real estate on my desk. There are several budget options out there. Some as low as $7! I didn't necessarily want bottom-of-the-barrel, but didn't to keep the price as low as possible. I noticed these speakers came up in several searches for high quality, budget speakers. Upon reading some reviews and checking out some videos, I was sold. I received the speakers very quickly from Best Buy and set them up quickly (simply plug the 3.5mm jack into any audio port or headphone jack and plug in the powercord into the wall). The sound is truly amazing! I don't have a ton to compare it to, but for the price, I absolutely cannot complain. Also, the size is really nice. Many of the more expensive options come with huge speakers and an even larger sub-woofer. Not everyone has a set-up that allows for these items to take up so much room. It's refreshing to find a name brand item that is affordable, well built, takes up minimal space and provides high quality sound. If this sounds like what you're looking for, place your order and don't look back... you'll be glad you did!

I like Logitech and believe these speakers are a good buy. Pros 1) Price - I like the price at 19.99, but at BB they were 21.99, but overall still a great value. 2) Overall Sound - Good enough for my needs. 3) Bass - Good enough for my needs. Meaning adequate. 4) Space - Here is the reason that I bought them! They distort if you turn them all the way up to blast music, but what do you expect for 10W? lol... They are a bigger than what I expected, but still not overwhelming. The issue that I was having was that I have limited space on my desk and wanted to make room by removing a subwoofer with 4 satellites. And these fit the bill... Cons 1) Price - I believe the true price is likely $14 - 16.99, but the above price is fair for what they do. 2) Design - a little more base would be nice, but again overall they do what I need them to do. 3) Design - the way the cables run from behind the speakers is kinda funky, but it is functional and again what do you expect at this price point? lol... Sooooo for basic listening needs and watching YouTube, these speakers are more than enough and I know you will be happy with them. Happy shopping!

These are excellent speakers with good features. The speakers have really good sound and work great for general use or people that don't care for booming bass and overpowering volume. If you want bass or party type speakers these are not it. These are some good speakers to put on a small desk and have quality audio without wearing your studio headphones or a headset. It's nice to use them for movies or when I'm working on something where I don't want to be wearing my studio headphones I can just simply unplug my headphones from the speaker and go back to speaker mode. The speaker has an input port for 3.5mm AUX where you can plug a TV or something into it and it also has a Headphone port where you can run your headphone 3.5mm jack to it and ALSO a huge bonus is you can adjust the headset volume using the knob as well! :D I love these for the money and would certainly buy them again if they broke.

Simple Speakers for an Affordable Price! Customer review by BlueCat2012 5.0 stars 9/27/2012 by BlueCat2012 I was looking for some nice speakers at an affordable price for my laptop. The sound on my laptop is not loud and at times I have to strain to hear anything, so I really needed some speakers. These speakers were so easy to install it took longer to get them out of the packaging! It took less than 5 minutes or so to install them and it was easy. All you have to do is turn off your computer, plug one of the wires into your computer, then plug the other wire into an outlet and turn them on. The light will come on signaling that they are working. When listening to music the sound quality is good and bad, the singer's voices are crystal clear but the bass is not as much. They sound good overall and are of high quality; also can be turned up really loud. These are great for what I was looking for, and are compact. They were actually smaller than I thought they would be: about 6 and 1/2 inches tall and 2 and 1/2 inches wide and are about 1 and 7/8 inch deep (or on the side). Great little affordable speakers, I'd recommend these to anyone who needs simple quality speakers

These speakers are LogiTech's replacement for their old S-0264A speakers. They have a bigger on/off/volume knob, moved the tone knob from the front to the side, and got rid of the metal grill that protected the speakers from damage, but other than that they seem to be pretty identical. Much better sound than your typical cheap computer speaker at a very reasonable price point. Each speaker assembly has a 3" speaker and a 3" passive radiator in it, so don't be disappointed if you think you are getting 2 speakers per assembly. They are not and never will be Bose sub-woofer quality nor are they intended or advertised to be, but they have a nice full sound when sitting a foot or two in front of you, which is exactly how I expect most people would set them up. The signal cable is only a few feet long, so it might be necessary to purchase an 1/8" stereo cable extension if installed too far from the computer. I think they are well the money to get reasonable music tone quality and low price point.

If you're looking for speakers for the sake of getting sound of your computer, look no further. While the drivers are larger than the bare essential speakers that cost a few dollars, they are still going to give you average sound. The drivers do not perform well on the lower end of the spectrum, giving a muddled and thuddy bass response, while the highs do come through a bit clearer, albeit tinny. Mid range frequencies seem non existent and even messing with an applications equalizer will not improve clarity. Anyway, that's what I expected out of these and that's exactly what they do. Again, they aren't bad if you're looking for a pair of speakers to connect to your computer simply for listening to YouTube videos or being able to hear something coming from your games with lackluster audio. I rate five stars because in this category they perform exactly as they should.

For the price, the value is great. The speakers look more expensive than they are which are great. The size makes them ideal for desktop speakers. I probably would not use these for a laptop if I wanted to remain ultra portable given the size. But for many they may still find them useful. They are loud enough to fill a room, maybe even more. And at the price, that is sufficient. As for the sound quality, I am no expert in dissecting music into bass, treble etc...so from a very ordinary listener, they sound clear and clean. Again, overall great value for what you pay. The only thing I cannot comment on is its durability, but I have had a couple Logitech products in my time and really never had any problems. So worth the buy in my opinion!

I am at a desk doing clerical and sales work through out the day and I needed to have something better for listening to music. These are a very good product for the price. I have used many other Logitech speakers when it comes to my computer stations. These are no different for quality sound and performance at a highly competitive price. They do have limitations such as no Equalizer for adjusting bass, middle, treble, or amplification. That is expected and okay for these kind of speakers seeing that they are not meant to be studio speakers. I have enjoyed all sorts of music from these speakers. What is nice is their ability to give high quality sound even at lower volumes. They are great running 50 to 75 percent volume, but are more impressive running 10 to 25 percent volume. They are consistent and clear. Great product for anyone that needs speakers, but does not need anything fancy.

After my old speakers finally died I needed to replace them but really wasn't looking to spend a few hundred dollars on a really nice set. These were definitely on the lower end of the price range but seemed to have good reviews so I gave them a chance. Really, for the price they are perfect for what I need them for which is games, youtube, and tweaking iTunes playlists that don't need a high end speaker system. I don't mix music or edit videos and I don't really care it my games have the highest quality sound. These get decent sound, are easy to hook up and have a headphone jack which is handy (some speakers I've owned in the past didn't have that option which was mildly annoying). My only little gripe about them is the physical size which was larger than I was picturing; at roughly 9" tall, 3.5" wide and 4.5" in length from the widest part at the bottom these do take up more space than my old speakers. Still worth it though.

I took my lovely scan-and-discover-your-reward-but-it's-always-$5 certificate , and used it towards these great little speakers for my very old desktop computer. The sound quality is, relatively speaking, amazing for the size and the price... to me, at least. They take up very little room on my already crowded desk, but fill the room with a nice sound. It should be noted however, that I'm not a geek about speakers--- I don't know a woof from a tweet. So if you're just the average person looking for good sound, I think these will make you really happy. If you're a speaker geek, you probably wouldn't deign to look at something so low-cost anyway! :)

These work great as computer speakers and even for small TVs. These plug easily into a headphone jack and while it doesn't include a subwoofer, you can still hear a decent amount of bass for it not be to tinny or sound like too much treble. There's a big knob on the one speaker to control volume and then it has a headphone-in so that you can hook up something like an external digital music player or your phone as an extra sound source without unplugging the main wire from the computer. And then it has a headphone-out if you want listen through your headphones instead of the speaker, equally without removing the main wire. Recommended.

I got these as a replacement for some old ones I had been using on my computer from the early 2000s. In comparison to them, they sound much clearer, but lacking in bass depth. Much detail on the high end. Set up is as easy as you can get with computer speakers. The cords are long enough without being all over the place. The AUX and headphone jacks fit the necessary plugs snugly. Volume control is smooth and no distortion when turning it up more than half way. These are good for the price though, especially if you are looking for something as a quick replacement or some simple speakers for a mini/bookshelf stereo.

I had the speakers for a total of four weeks, and they were probably the worst speakers that I've ever purchased. The left speaker kept going out on me, and the sound quality was mediocre at best. I've looked on YouTube and there are quite a few videos of people complaining about the poor quality of the sound and the connection issues between the left speaker in the right speaker. If you are going to purchase speakers, I recommend the Bose speakers. They may cost four times as much as the Logitech speakers, but trust me it's well worth the money.

These speakers have incredible quality for their price point. The tone adjusting wheel on the side is nice and out of the way, keeping the aesthetic of the speakers simple. I was surprised by the size of the speakers as well. I expected them to be smaller, especially for the price, but they were sizable and project the stereo sound very nicely. I personally had a $10 credit on my account so the speakers were only $12 dollars and some tax. After getting them, the full price even seems like a discount. These speakers punch way above their weight class and I'd expect nothing less from Logitech. They are fantastic for music, gaming and movies/tv shows. They are capable of plenty of volume and fill a room magnificently. 5/5 would buy again

I was looking for some desktop speakers at a low price, and these get the job done. They are better than the speaker on my new monitor, but no where near the quality of what I use to own. I refuse to spend more than 50 bucks on some desktop speakers because after a price you start to see diminishing returns. And if I'm going to spend more than 100 bucks from some speakers than I would just save the cash for some Vanatoo zeros. At $25 in total, these do get the job done. At least until I need to reinvest into top quality monitors.
