Reliability in Affordability

We use it on our projector to sub in for its lackluster internal speaker. Adjustable base is a plus, and you can really get a decent, sub-free boom out of these things if you want it. Not perfect audio control or balancing, but if affordability is as important to you as it was to me, you really can't go wrong with these speakers.

Outstanding sound

Best Buy had them in stock and they were on sale, too.

Thought these speakers were going to do the job

He wanted some decent yet inexpensive speakers while he played games on his xbox/monitor/laptop system. He was just needing some external volume since his monitor didn't have volume capabilities. He liked the look and sound and the price was good too, but we were expecting them to last a bit longer. We're bringing them in to Best Buy this weekend to see if we can exchange them out for a new pair. Maybe we happened to get some lemons.

But if you want a set of inexpensive speakers that are fine for most applications, these are great.
