First one was dead. Replaced it in person at Best Buy. Best buy shipping was very fast indeed. Way faster than regular amazon. Same price as amazon. I like the sound and the function. I do not think I would need a wireless volume control if I used it right at my desk. For that I might prefer the older style with a manual volume control on the small speaker. However, I use it with a computer set up for my wife to play youtube videos to dance via blue tooth. The wireless audio and wireless volume control are handy for that. 80 Watts is just enough. I have it connected to the computer with bluetooth and also to the audio connector of my TV. You switch back and forth between bluetooth input and audio input with buttons on the back of the remote control volume thing. My TV only has digital audio output, so I had to buy a digital audio to analog audio converter. With that converter box there would be no volume control, except the converter box I bought (on amazon) has a remote control volume. TV sound is pretty good, if you set your TV equalizer properly. The equalizer setting is best set one way for the speakers and a different way for the internal TV speakers. Thus, I tend not to bother using this for the TV. Probably better to have a separate sound bar for the TV. The only thing that is less than ideal are the small buttons on the back of the remote volume control to switch between bluetooth input and audio input. They are rather small and you wind up pressing the volume control at the same time, putting it into bass volume control. Sorry for all the text.

I purchased these speakers as a christmas gift for my husband and he loves it! One of the perks he likes is the wireless knob where he can control the speakers. He is very happy with this and so am I. Sounds very clear and loud which loves

I purchased these speakers to replace a set in my office that died. They were a good fit for the price point that I was searching for, and I have been very pleased. The sound quality is great and I love the Bluetooth connection option that helps to reduce the wires to control around my desk. I can also easily switch the connection to my phone if desired.
One note...a couple of reviews I read indicated that to have integrated volume control on your computer with a visible volume indicator, you must use one of the two available wired connection options. That is not the case, as it works great with my laptop running Windows 11.
Thank you for your positive review! We're glad to hear that our speakers have exceeded your expectations. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, including the helpful tip about Bluetooth volume control. Your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to improve our products.

This speaker set is pretty impressive for the price. I was looking for something that would sound respectable when I wasn't using my headphones (Sennheiser HD598 SE). I can't say these speakers are 100% comparable to the headphones, but they are surprisingly clean sounding and rich.
The subwoofer provides solid punchy bass and matches well with the satellites. Even with the sub mounted under my desk the low end sounds like it's coming from the satellites and the sound is unified and clear with no low end muddiness. High end is very crisp as well and the set gets louder than is comfortable for me without distortion. They aren't as balanced and accurate as my headphones, but they are pleasant to listen to, and I don't feel any frequencies are distractingly exaggerated or missing.
The wireless controller is also a nice touch. I didn't think I would like it at first, but its very convenient to use. It works well, looks simple and clean, and the speakers are very responsive to the controller with no delays. The only complaint I have with the set is that when they go to sleep they seem to take forever to wake up sometimes. You can force them to wake up by turning the dial on the controller, but it would be preferable if they were just more responsive. A small complaint overall though for such great sound at a reasonable price!

Overall I’m really impressed with this budget sound system. I wasn’t sure I’d like the wireless volume controller, but it’s actually come in quite hand at times to quickly change the volume on the fly during a game if my family needs something. The highs are a little lacking, but it has good volume and reasonable bass. Using it for music, zoom, and gaming all works like a dream. Lots of connectivity options too.

Great sound for a small footprint. The sub or bass tones are very pronounced with this set up so truly ideal for a desktop computer. I’m enjoying using.
Thanks for the awesome feedback! We're glad the Z407 system delivers rich bass and fits perfectly into your desktop setup. Enjoy the immersive sound—it’s great to hear it's hitting all the right notes for you!

Initially, I bought the $100 pair of Logitech speakers but returned them to get these. I am not disappointed at all. Sound wise, to the untrained ear they will sound identical to the $100 pair. Personally, I prefer the sound of the high frequencies in the other pair, but these hold their own and will certainly not disappoint. Aesthetically, I much prefer the look of the $100 pair, as I like the black main color with the gold speakers, but I much prefer the flexibility of these speakers. It's worth noting that the $100 pair speakers have a smaller footprint on the desk and ultimately are not as tall as these speakers when they are positioned vertically.
Most importantly, and where these speakers shine are the sources. It supports bluetooth, standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB. Personally, I use the bluetooth and standard 3.5mm jack. In theory if you have a long enough usb cable you could plug it in via usb, but personally I use the 3.5mm jack. Another feature that makes these stand out from the other pair? The wireless control knob, the other pair is corded, and while if you're clever you can hide the cord, it kinda defeats the purpose of these knobs. My only complaint about the knob is that because it connects via Bluetooth Low Energy if you want to control the volume from the knob it may take a couple seconds for it to reconnect and then adjust the volume, which is a first-world inconvenience at worst.
Either way, at any price these are well worth the price to a vast majority of people who will be buying these. Personally, I believe that in Audio you tend to get what you pay for (with exceptions of course) and these most certainly back up my argument in that respect.

surprisingly good. i actually went in to get a different set (were like $20 cheaper) but i wasnt able to tell if the other set was able to switch between devices without having to change the wiring so i picked this up and it works great. excellent sound, the bass is great, and best of all i can just hit a button and switch it between my ps5 and my computer.

Love this speaker system! Setup was very easy, I love the portable control remote that comes with it, makes it easy to change volume/change songs. Also love how easily bluetooth works with any device. Sounds clear and high quality!

Great speaker system for my work from home setup. Great sound, easy setup. Best part is you can connect to up to 3 sources (Bluetooth, 3.5 mm, micro USB). The wireless volume puck is very convenient and easy to use, but wish the buttons to change sources wasn't on the bottom.
FYI - there is a very loud powering on/off sound that I can't seem to find a way to adjust. Always surprises me when it comes on.

Bought this Computer Speaker for our other desktop. Works great! Looks sleek. Sure I could have paid more for some over-the-top speakers but these sound great. The hockey puck control dial works great wirelessly also.

This is a great 3 piece speaker system for the money. Built quality of all 4 pieces is excellent. Sound quality is good with decent bass response from the subwoofer. The wireless flexibility of the remote is an excellent feature with the ease of switching mods (bluetooth - wired) from the remote is great. Added bonus is ability to position speakers horizontally to fit your setup aesthetic.
I personally use this set up paired with my Macbook Pro with an dock station and use the bluetooth feature daily. For use, you do have to reconnect bluetooth each time in the control panel is you want to use the speakers. Was hopeful there wouldn't be any lag via bluetooth and there isn't, smooth transitions. Was worried as I tried to use a Homepod as my speaker (ya know, cause Apple...) and there was always a delay in audio and even worse when editing video in Premiere Pro.
All in all, this is a SOLID option if you're looking for an inexpensive speaker set up for your Mac or PC.

I've had Logitech speakers for my home PC for years. They make a great sound. The Z407 was easy to set up and calibrate. The controls are fun to play with, too.
Thanks for the great review! We're glad you're enjoying it—sounds like a solid choice all around. 👍

Bad controller / No smart speaker integration

The speakers sound fine the set up was fairly easy but the wireless controller kind of gets on my nerves as it needs to be pressed multiple times or has a sweet spot to when I need to mute it.
The overall 'look' is nice and minimal, just how I like it, and the wires and I guess the wireless controller makes the cable management a lot easier.
The fact that it is Bluetooth is very nice as I could easily switch to my phone for music. Although it leaves much to be desired as you cannot connect it with your other smart home devices in order to make the experience a lot more seamless.
Long story short. Controller is not the best but you manage to get used to it after awhile and the lack of Google/Amazon connected capabilities kind of is a downer for a person like me that is much too lazy to switch from my already plentiful list of Bluetooth devices that my phone connects to as there is no AUX jack in most phones these days.

Compare these to the Pebble 2.1 system. Logitech and Creative have been making speakers for a LONG time. I prefer these, more about Creative below.
These might be the best sounding Logitech speakers I have ever purchased. Some audiophiles might discount these for how non-audio they look and the fact that they are squarely focused on PC users. These are GREAT speakers for the cost. They're not going to go insanely loud and they're not going to match a system three times the cost, but for the application, you really can't match these.
I had the v1 of the Pebble speakers and they are great, especially when including the subwoofer, but the wiring coming off of the single right speaker is not as great a plan as the way these Logitech speakers are wired back to the sub. It's much easier to work with for a desk.
This is an easy recommendation. Just buy these.

Speakers and sub work great and the remote is good. The only reason i give it 4 starts instead of 5 is there are no instructions on how to use the remote just some pictures on the box for the basic setup. You can feel the base and the sound came out clear so it is a good system. I can not speak on long term only had it a short while

This set is super nice. I kept buying sets under $50 from amazon, etc, but finally got tired of replacing them after a year or two and spent the ~$75 or so on these. The sound is great, bass is deep/rich, and overall I love that it's bluetooth compatible so no wires to the laptop.

From the moment I powered on my Logitech PC speakers, it felt like stepping into my own cinematic world. Every gunfire crackle, every whispered line of dialogue, and every bass drop in my Ableton projects comes through clear, punchy, and alive.
In games, they turn my room into a battlefield or an interstellar warzone with immersive depth. In music production, they become precise tools that reveal every layer of my beats. The highs shimmer, the mids stay warm, and the bass hits with purpose. Logitech created more than speakers. They created a portal to sound.
We're absolutely delighted to hear about your incredible experience with the Logitech Z407 speakers! It sounds like you're truly immersing yourself in your audio, whether it's through gaming, watching movies, or producing music with Ableton. Your feedback perfectly captures the essence of what we aimed to achieve with the Z407: a powerfully balanced and immersive sound experience.

I bought a monitor that didn't have built in speakers. So, I wanted something with good sound and relatively inexpensive. These fit the bill. Nice and compact with great sound clarity. And at 40W, probably more power than you need.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear the Z407 speakers provided the sound solution you were looking for and that you appreciate their compact design and clear audio.

I will start off by saying I am particular about my sound preferences. I found the bass module for this system to be great for its size. The left and right speakers are good on the highs but lack bass and midrange. I had planned to replace my Edifier G2000s with this setup but the G2000s are far superior to the L & R speakers from Logitech. The happy compromise to having these two together was that I boxed up the L & R from Logitech and ran the sub out from the G2000s to the Z404 sub. Having the puck controller on the desk is much better than having to reach behind a sub to adjust the sub gain or output. I wouldn’t pick the Z407 as a good “stand alone” sound system for my taste as the sound is a bit lacking with its overall midrange output. Spend more $$ if you want a “more powerful sounding system”. On the other hand, if you have some great bookshelf speakers with an aux 3.5 output for a sub, this sub is absolutely a fantastic and cost-effective addition.
