I think this is more for teenagers than it is for kids. It was confusing on the what needs to be done.

My son in law wanted this game and I bought it for him as a Christmas present. He borrowed it from the library to play with the family. My daughter said the game was “awful” and to return it.

    Nintendo Has Another Hit

In my opinion - Nintendo truly shines the brightest when it has great single player action games (Mario, Zelda, etc..). The Luigi's Mansion franchise has been a fan favorite as well and the 3rd edition of this game does not disappoint!! PROS: - Although this is the "3rd" game in this series, you do NOT need to have played he previous two games to understand whats going on! This is a huge plus to players who are new to the franchise or Nintendo Switch and want to buy this game. - The graphics really are fantastic on this game! The colors are vibrant and playful, the environment is very interactive, and the players are well defined. This game is a must play on the big screen with the lights off to truly experience the spookiness. - Something I really love is this game definitely plays into the "haunted" factor with the ghosts, things jumping out at you, and the decor of the game. However, it also is goofy! Luigi and the character's make you laugh and its a good balance to make this feel like its for young kids and adults alike. - The gameplay is simple yet challenging! Like Super Mario games, the controls are not that complex but there are combos and tricks you learn along the way. Also the game never feels repetitive because it keeps you moving from one thing to the next but yet you can take your sweet time to make sure you never miss anything. CONS: - Although I love the graphics, to me this game is very obviously better on the big screen versus playing in handheld mode. This isn't to say handheld mode is bad, but this is the first Switch game I've had that I don't instantly love playing in handheld mode compared to on the big screen. - The view of the game takes some getting used to, basically its not like an open world where you can rotate your view at all times. Your view is always from the front facing and the camera just simple follows you from left/right/front/back. It's not bad but something to be aware of. BOTTOM LINE: - If you love single player story mode games and are a fan of Nintendo, this game is a home run for you. The story is spooky, funny, and colorful - and the gameplay is smooth and thought provoking. Luigi's Mansion 3 will not disappoint!
