Nintendo Has Another Hit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my opinion - Nintendo truly shines the brightest when it has great single player action games (Mario, Zelda, etc..). The Luigi's Mansion franchise has been a fan favorite as well and the 3rd edition of this game does not disappoint!! PROS: - Although this is the "3rd" game in this series, you do NOT need to have played he previous two games to understand whats going on! This is a huge plus to players who are new to the franchise or Nintendo Switch and want to buy this game. - The graphics really are fantastic on this game! The colors are vibrant and playful, the environment is very interactive, and the players are well defined. This game is a must play on the big screen with the lights off to truly experience the spookiness. - Something I really love is this game definitely plays into the "haunted" factor with the ghosts, things jumping out at you, and the decor of the game. However, it also is goofy! Luigi and the character's make you laugh and its a good balance to make this feel like its for young kids and adults alike. - The gameplay is simple yet challenging! Like Super Mario games, the controls are not that complex but there are combos and tricks you learn along the way. Also the game never feels repetitive because it keeps you moving from one thing to the next but yet you can take your sweet time to make sure you never miss anything. CONS: - Although I love the graphics, to me this game is very obviously better on the big screen versus playing in handheld mode. This isn't to say handheld mode is bad, but this is the first Switch game I've had that I don't instantly love playing in handheld mode compared to on the big screen. - The view of the game takes some getting used to, basically its not like an open world where you can rotate your view at all times. Your view is always from the front facing and the camera just simple follows you from left/right/front/back. It's not bad but something to be aware of. BOTTOM LINE: - If you love single player story mode games and are a fan of Nintendo, this game is a home run for you. The story is spooky, funny, and colorful - and the gameplay is smooth and thought provoking. Luigi's Mansion 3 will not disappoint!

Missing features
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent game but the system lacks basic online features including party chat and messaging. Nintendo online is an embarrassment and isn't stable.

Fun Fun Fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only progressed to the first ghost boss so far, but I'm LOVING it! The controls take some getting used to, but it is compatible with the pro controller which is nice. Beautiful graphics on my 4K HDR Samsung 55" curved TV. Haven't dabbled in the co-op play just yet, but overall I love the dialog, gameplay, and Dr. E. Gadd is hilarious per usual.

Probably my favorite Switch release this year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Any fan of Luigi would love this game. It's an absolute must with fantastic graphics, exceptional art design, and has an engaging story. The gameplay is really fun, it's a nice mix of puzzle solving along with some ghost-sucking action. If this isn't already in your Switch library, then you're missing out!

Best in the series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always loved the original Luigi’s Mansion on GameCube and the fact that game became a series was something I never expected. The sequal of Luigi’s Mansion came to the 3DS. While I liked Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon on the 3DS, it was missing the open level design from the original game but Luigi had such a personality in Dark Moon it was okay to give the more linear level design. However Luigi’s Mansion 3 combines what made the original great with a more open “small” world with personality that Dark Moon had. This is up there as my favorite Switch game there is. Some of the best graphics you would find on the Switch. The music is catchy and level design are varied since the setting is in a hotel. Definitely a must own and a ton of fun to play.
