Cool device that adds "smarts" to my dumb switch

So simple to connect to my Hue lights and place on the switch. My teen son was always turning off his bedroom lights with the switch. They then of course wouldn’t turn on automatically or with the App. This goes over the switch allowing him to turn them “off” but they still are connected. Love it.

Nifty Light Switch

Does what it does well

All five dim and change based on this one switch. Great way to make a room work off one switch. The dial has a good tactile feel. My five year old can use it without being harsh on it.

Start the instructions in the Hue app before the instructions in the Lutron box. Don't even use Lutron instructions for Hue. The app will give you the correct order. Mine got stuck in bluetooth the first time and was connected but not the way I wanted it to be. The second, following, hue's instructions paired in less than 1 min. Works great without any issues staying paired.

Light switch

I like that it covers the existing light switch. When my in laws come over they always flick the switch which screws up the hue light system. So this device makes it so they can’t mess with my hue system.

Works great with hue lights

This switch allows me to leave the switch always powered on for the bulbs. one hue light for the outside is on a timer and the other is controlled by this switch which is perfect for this situation!
