I ordered this MacBook for writing my reviews and I'm thrilled with it! It syncs with my iPad Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and my iPad mini BEAUTIFULLY! It seamlessly connects between devices making it effortless to toggle between my devices depending on my needs. I can write at home or on the go and pick up exactly where I left off on any device.
The MacBook is portable enough to fit all of my backpacks yet, it's light enough to not add too much weight. It's easy to find affordable, protective and stylish cases or sleeves for traveling with my MacBook while providing the peace of mind that my MacBook is safe during travel. The fingerprint security offers the ultimate security for protection of my MacBook/icloud account.
The screen is vibrant with excellent imagery. Streaming is a breeze whether I'm watching something or just listening to music. The multi tasking capability is better than my iPad Pro. The mouse pad and gestures are incredible!! It's so easy to toggle between my notes and webpages for efficient and thorough reviews or to just toggle between apps and functionalities. The interface is smooth no matter what I'm using my MacBook for. I really don't notice a difference in my M1 chip and operating system as opposed to my Husband's M2 chip MacBook. Memory has never been as issue with the 8GB memory and 256GB SSD. My MacBook is rarely ever laggy or non responsive. It never overheats and works beautifully for my daily use and needs. It connects smoothly (via Bluetooth) with my razor cobra mouse and my Logitech mechanical keyboard when I'm stationed in front of my MacBook for working and writing. I haven't noticed any bluetooth connectivity issues between my devices and my MacBook. Battery life is superb. I literally have my MacBook on like all day long and charge it roughly every 3 days or so. (Even after year of ownership) Maybe every other day if I'm using my MacBook for a solid 12 hours for 2 days. The two USB C port are great for both quick charging and my acer USB C 7 in 1 hub. (which provides a convenient display port hub for my monitor out SD ports for my SD cards)
The only negative experience I've had with my MacBook in the year that I've owned it is that it has randomly disconnected from wifi. It happened a few times when I first bought my MacBook. Although it took a matter of seconds to simply reconnect to my wifi it was still annoying to deal with. We recently switched internet providers and since then the issue has not reoccured.
Additionally in the year I've owned my MacBook it did freeze on me like 3 separate times (randomly and months apart) where I had to do a hard reset for my MacBook to get it smoothly functioning again. Once I did my hard reset the MacBook functions beautifully and smooth with no indication of other concerning issues.
The other thing I did notice is that occasion some apps will freeze and simply show a spinning mouse icon. I specifically notice this with the notes app. Force closing the frozen app resets it and gets it smoothly operating again.
I would assume that the hard reset I had to do for my MacBook as well as the froze notes app is a result of literally always having my MacBook on and never really turning it off. When I'm done for the day I usually just close my MacBook and open it back up to pick up where I left off the day before. 9/10 times that's not an issue and the MacBook functions smooth and beautifully. The most common issue is my notes app freezing. I usually see this issue about once a month or maybe even once every 6 weeks or so. It's not so recurrent that it drives me crazy but, it is something I have noticed.
Despite the minor hiccups I've occasionally experienced I'm loving my MacBook. For my daily use it performs beautifully! It's smooth and seamlessly connects with all my other apple devices. It's easy to use and extremely portable. It's a million times better than the previous Dell and HP models I've used/owned in the past. I would whole heartedly recommend this MacBook to anyone looking for a work horse MacBook that holds up to long hour daily use.

Apple Over Marketed/Promised

I bought this knowing it was geek certified but that's irrelevant in my review of the Macbook Air M1.
PROS: It's definitely a step ahead of the last MacBook Airs. I would say the person this is for are creators who use adobe photoshop, iMovie, multiple tabs open, music playing, etc.
It's genuinely pretty good for a MacBook Air. iMovie videos render in like lets say a 5minute video in 1080p 1GB, 2-3 minutes. That's a huge improvement.
However, this is not for you if you use any video-making application that is not yet running on Apple's Silicone. It's not to say that it doesn't work. A lot of Intel products work through Rosetta. I'm not sure if this is going to be fixed since the new MacBook Airs M2 should be dropping in a few months.
So I guess if you're a creator who only uses Apple applications like iMovie, and if you can find a M1 version of any application you use that's based on intel, you should be fine. But a lot of us who use adobe creative suite, powerdirector, cricut, silhouette, it's not a good idea to pick this up. I'm not sure if there is going to be a software update that fixes this but what happens is that with 8gb of ram, intel apps use about 7gb of the ram and so you're forced to shut down your work. Even JC can't save your hard work if you're editing a video or writing an essay.
Overall, I don't blame anyone but myself and Apple. They overpromised on a product that had the potential to be great. It's just to bad they don't allow us to add more ram. It's hard to criticize them because I depend on MacOS but this really has to change with them. 8GB is not enough for anything anymore. Don't get wrong, take a look at your diagnostics and see how much the m1 is killing your SSD (or lifetime expectancy). This usually doesn't move numbers for a year or two but users are already seeing their MacBooks life expectancy start ticking,
Ideally, this MacBook should have never been released as an 8GB Memory, it should have started at 16GB because every day the MacBook is being used it won't last as long as the original intels.
I'm thinking of returning mine and going back to intel with just a higher ram and processor. we'll see. I'm actually thinking of leaving macOS and going back to windows because this is just sad.

The MacBook Air with the M1 chip is a game-changer. Its performance is stellar, thanks to the M1's power efficiency and speed. The fanless design keeps it whisper-quiet. The battery life is remarkable, easily lasting a full day. The Retina display is vibrant, and the keyboard is comfortable. The M1's compatibility with iOS apps is a bonus. However, limited port options might be a drawback for some. Overall, it's a fantastic ultraportable laptop that sets a new standard in performance and battery life.

The MacBook works really amazingly and it was definitely worth the price. I use it for school every day and the battery life is amazing. Every now and then I game on the laptop and it does not heat up and does not get loud at all. As for purchasing it, it did come in the day it was supposed to but hours later, the shipt delivery person came In hours later which did give me a bit of anxiety but it did come in in due time, brand new box protected by an orgingal Apple box and was packaged very nicely.

This is my second Macbook since 2017 and Apple didn't disappoint with the 2022 Macbook Air. I'm in love with the screen and battery life improvements. The battery lasts for 2-3 days on a single charge. The sleek, non-curved edge of the 2022 Air vs 2017 is my favorite because it feels more sturdy despite the aluminum base. The newer design is a definite step up from the 2017. I'm very happy I went with this version.

I love my MacBook Air. I purchased it on Sale to add to my Apple Collection of work devices. The best thing I love about this device is how smooth it sync with my other Apple products. I wish it had a touch screen not sure what the hold up is other than that’s what they sale ipads for. Lol This version is a great everyday laptop. It’s not slow but I’m sure a Macbook would handle more complex tasks better. I have two 13inch iPad Pros and they are all about the same in height, weight and screen resolution. Functionality is the separating factor.

This laptop has made college so much easier. In todays age everything is digitalized and this computer has saved me so much time and energy. All of my university services and textbooks are easily accessible and the sleek and compact design allows me to carry it in my backpack and not have to worry about bulky mess or excessive weight. I love the Touch ID feature, it maintains security with convenience and the processing speed is more than fast enough to keep up with the needs of a student.

Read BEFORE purchasing “Open box” condition!

I bought this online in “Open box” condition meaning the display model. It was described as being on excellent condition and all in all I ended up paying around $970 for it after taxes and fees. When I first received the laptop I was immediately in awe of its beauty (I bought the rose gold version) However upon trying to set up the laptop and gain access into it I ran into a bunch of issues which required me to contact Apple support. Best Buy had not done a software reset on the laptop before shipping it to me which resulted in me not being able to log in or set up my password. It was only after 2 days of receiving it that Apple finally pin pointed the issue and was able to walk me through doing a complete reset thereby allowing me to finally gain access into my laptop! Ever since then I’ve been in love with it! My only small complaint would be that I have to buy an adapter now to be able to connect my phone to it, other than that this was a great buy!

Best purchase I have made, it really was more of an investment. I hated being a student and having to work on my phone or iPad, a Mac was the better choice. I can take it anywhere since its relatively small and even though its the 2020 model it works amazingly. I have never had problems with the speed or it freezing and I do a lot of school work on it. In terms of numbers I give it a 10/10!!

I love that I was able to get my hands on this beautiful, rose gold laptop. It's the perfect size for my tiny hands and I like the size of the laptop overall. The screen isn't too big either, The keypad has black keys, making the rose gold color stand out more. Super cute!
If you love Apple products and have always been familiar with iPhones & iPads, I recommend this laptop as you can connect your devices together!

Sturdy, well built with fast performing upload/download on cloud and hard drive. Battery life is outstanding, easy to use and doesn’t walk you through a million settings like windows. Buy once-cry once. I use this for photography, also purchased an external hard drive that’s easy to use and save files to.

I've purchased this model of the MacBook; the day after Christmas. When I bought it, I fell in love with it. I bought the Gold Color; which I thought was cute. Although the MacBook came with the 256GB which I thought was enough. I bought this MacBook for online school, it is so flawless. I love the quietness, no viruses and the compatibility. It is very fast. This is my first MacBook and I will keep it forever.
